This just inspired me to check out more of Uriah Heep's later stuff. I have all the albums up till David Byron's departure. Did'nt like much of what I heard after that but this song is not too bad!

You may get flamed for saying that, 'cause DP was a great band, but what Heep at their best had over DP at their best was Heep's sense of spirituality. Played by the instruments is the sound and soul of a man crying, and no less a man for doing so.

Ken Hensley wrote songs that could help a person get through life. An angel (or God) DID "bless his lowered head." Purple? Eh?

Those were the times... In Mexico, some people listen to Uriah Heep music too, like yours truly, for example. Very good song, thanks dragan70dragan. I was 18 years old when the Innocent Victim album was released, 1977. I have several vinyl records of this British rock band. (from Guadalajara, State of Jalisco, Mexico).

This is really great song, and I added it as an homage to Uriah Heep, nevertheless I love the voice of Lawton, and I think that he gave unforgetable color to the band. Cheers mate!

Thanks for posting this great tune from a, mostly, unknown Heep album. Ken Hensley never fails to amaze me with his ability to write beautiful and inspirational musical passages. Although Lawton is in fine voice, i wish David byron had had a go at this one.
