It's not that bad, considering I can run the latest version of PS on an inspiron 6000 with a single core intel processor (1.6GHz) and Radeon X300 gfx card. =P

I7 is the most powerful desktop-class x86 processor at the moment imo for a given clockspeed, with hyperthreading & Turbo Boost enabled.

What this video is showing is that Adobe has made CS4 capable of taking

advantage of more than one processor, and able to take advantage of extensions of the X86 instruction set, such as SSE1, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4 and SSE4.1

These extensions to the X86 instruction set are across both AMD and Intel, and some with Cyrix as well.

No seriously, adobe software, even when using SSEx are slow because they are badly designed. Ya they're great at doing multimedia stuff but damn that the GUI's buggy...
