My biological father I've never heard from, or of, in my entire life. Nor can I say that I would really care to. My point of all of this is that when you give up a child there is a hole created in the entire fabric of their being. Something is broken inside of them that no amount of love or affection can replace. I now have my own daughter, who I love more than life itself. When I look into her eyes I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to leave her indefinitely.
I don't know if I'm just bantering or not, but I feel compelled to leave a message here. I seldom swing in and out of depression, but when I do I'm pretty down. I've had a lot happen to me in my life, I was adopted as an infant and I was diagnosed with several different cognitive disabilities by the time I began kindergarten. My biological mother was very mentally unstable and had disabilities of her own, this I've learned through my parents who have raised me remarkably.

I wrote the song in the '80s and was influenced by many songs from the 70's such as Led Zeppelin, ELO and Lionel Ritchie who released a song of the same title in '84 after I met and started working with Michael Jackson on songs. I also worked with INXS & was a relationship with Michael Hutchence. They released the song Reckless Ways with my name "Amy" in the song.

Inspiration came from the death of my grandmother. It was my grandmother's death on Oct 1, 1983 which also inspired the band name Evanescence from a review of A Chorus Line in the New York Times by Frank Rich printed on Oct 1, 1983.

Don't get me wrong I'm still a successful person, I just finished school and am working with special needs students in elementary. As well as trying to become a published writer and poet on the side. But I'll always go back to how I've had struggle through adversity to do anything in my life. With the cognitive disabilities I should not be able to do anywhere near what I am with my life. I don't know where to end this, so here is a good place. I hope you all succeed, no matter what happens.

My biological father I've never heard from, or of, in my entire life. Nor can I say that I would really care to. My point of all of this is that when you give up a child there is a hole created in the entire fabric of their being. Something is broken inside of them that no amount of love or affection can replace. I now have my own daughter, who I love more than life itself. When I look into her eyes I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to leave her indefinitely.

I don't know if I'm just bantering or not, but I feel compelled to leave a message here. I seldom swing in and out of depression, but when I do I'm pretty down. I've had a lot happen to me in my life, I was adopted as an infant and I was diagnosed with several different cognitive disabilities by the time I began kindergarten. My biological mother was very mentally unstable and had disabilities of her own, this I've learned through my parents who have raised me remarkably.
