help with a memory system... take a large sequence of rooms (or places) to use for storing memories. placing a famous person in their respecitve room labelled aa-zz is one way to help keep the sequence of at least 676 of the rooms in order. just found it bizarrely convenient that someone had gone to trouble of doing such an obscure task for me already!...

if the sequence of rooms is long enough, it can be used to store the pages of a book or any other sequence of ideas. use it mainly for theorems, dates (years or days), chess patterns, algorithms, molecules, lists etc.... but labeling the rooms aa-zz makes them really useful for foreign words (just place the word in the appropriate room and link it to all the other words currently in the room) so you can't help reminding yourself of everything you've been memorizing each time you hear a word...
