@ragejioxD because it threw off the aspect ratio. The way I had it was the best keeping the aspect. The games on the PSX were on 4:3 tv's but the psp is 16:9

@Fenrir2901 because the ps1 resolution (4:3 SD screen) is not the same as the psp resolution (16:9 HD Screen).

You can change the size in the menu but in my opinion it looks like crap.

On psp L1/R1 is as normal and by default the L2/R2 is controlled with the thumbstick, however you can change the control type so L2/R2 is mapped to the directional buttons and you control the character with the thumbstick

@CarefreeGirlie Turn on your Psp, Go to the Ps Store, and go to add funds, Make sure you have 10 bucks on your Credit Card, then enter your Credit Card information.. Now go to Games, then PS1 Classics then go to Final Fantasy IX and confirm your purchase. Now go all the way to the right on your XMB and go to account management then download list, and select Final Fantasy IX. The download will begin. The amount of time it takes for the download to complete depends on how fast your internet is.

I don't condone Pirating games but if you already own it on PSX and want to play them on PSP then why purchase 2 copies since it only take 15-20 min to convert your file. But you will have to CFW (Custom Firmware) your psp to play your own converted PSX game. Remember to support your game companies for their hard work so they can continue,

@018975 You can play any PSX game on your PSP. You need to convert the file to Eboot or download an Eboot converted file. You must have your PSP with Custom Firmware. Its easy to do just search on how to. If you do play a game you look remember to support your Video game company by purchasing it that way they can continue to make great games.

@JudgeBarlow Theres something called Playstation Network, where you create an account and you can buy the game, download and install it on your PSP for 10 dollars. After creating the account, just go buy a prepaid card and either use a USB cable to connect your psp into the computer or just do it from the psp itself. Hope it helps, im a huge Final Fantafreak and would be happy to spread any help.
