Calling someone "Pro War" violates even the vestigal code of conduct left in political advertising and would expose us to accusations of cheap trickery, offend the undecided, and lower the quality of the debate, we'd be talking about our "gaffe" and having candidates around the country condemning the national campaign.

Let's hope the firm which produced this gets hired by the Tories, and they run an ad describing the NDP position on abortion as "Anti-life".

As an American, I'm so mixed on that ad. It's effectively done, but it also relies on the US a bogeyman far more than any other commercial I see from Canada's parties.

I like Canada more than my own country and look to study there soon, but I don't think America is totally evil either and am uncomfortable seeing it displayed as such. I don't mind the NDP platform (wish US had an organized far-left,) but this kind of imagery makes me feel like I'd be unwanted there simply for where I come from.
