  • The core helps so much with balance, thats vital for great emotional health too.

  • Thanks!

  • ...And you are stretchening ...stretching and strengthening your muscles at the same time:D

    Ester you Rock!!!

  • does this really give u abs?

  • @pmarmoset907 no exercise gives you abs, low body fat is needed to see abs. This will strengthen them of course.

  • looking at your body has inspired me to try to get into better shape and try yoga. it's going to be very difficult but i'll try my best. thanks esther!!

  • so hard to do it

  • your core refers to more than just your abdominal muscles. It also refers to your back muscles.

  • I love this! I love your voice and cues, I am a yoga teacher and this is pure gold! Thank you

  • by the way, i find the side plank difficult to do, so instead of doing the side plank, i just stay on plank pose, with both arms and legs on the floor. maybe soon i can do the side plank. this video is helpful to me. thank you.

  • thank you for sharing this video. i tried to do this for about two weeks at home and i feel like it's doing something good for my back and my abdomen. my work requires me to be on the computer, and i needed an exercise for my back, i think this video helped... more power to you!

  • this is the first time, i've tried yoga i heard its good for people with anxiety and stress. i think i found a new way of exersizing, i already exersize 7 days a week because of my job but this helps me more. thanks for uploading.

  • my legs start shaking and shivering when i am raising my legs and i cant hold them up , at least not in a straight wat..please tell what do i need to do to correct that?

  • @637758 Its probably because you have tight hamstrings that you cannot bring them up all the way, and because you cannot bring them up all the way its much more intense than when you can. Thats why the shaking of the muscles is happening. You have to work much harder that way. work to loosen out the hamstrings. Here a video to work with. The video is called yoga for hamstrings, use the search box, the code is tRjKEpkghsk . Youtube doesn't let me leave links here.. Hope this helps!

  • Thankyou, this was great.

  • wat is core?

  • @maringalex Core is another name for Abs.

  • Looks really tough actually! But very good

  • @cplemtl whats the username for who uploaded the video???

  • Hello I struggle with doing Military situps. Do you know any technique I can strenghthen my body to lift up by doing sit ups?

  • for some reason my feet get stiff in the last position! it's like i pulled a string!

  • Very good!!!!! Thank you!!!

  • @cplemtl i cant find it!

  • @DiscClub6 me neither...

  • woh, this one ain't easy

  • Great routine, Esther. Thank you for showing ways to adapt the poses for more or less core intensity :)

    In Gratitude,

    Lauren

  • i love yogaaaaaaaaaaa~!

  • Thank You !

  • what if you have a crooked spine?

  • Am I right in that this would be great for my lower back? I've had surgery twice in L4-L5 for a herniated disk.

  • Just shared you on my Facebook page.......your yoga rocks!

  • oops, forgot... this was a reply to cplemtl

  • that was hard :( lol

  • Id probably hit dat....

  • Thumbs up if this is the hardest exercise you tried!!!!

  • I love your videos, but can i just ask you something...? How strong are you ?!?! ;)

  • Thank you Esther! I just did 3 of your videos. :)

  • you are the best! thanks for the video

  • Wow, you sound dutch..:) I really liked the video, I wanted to excercise on my muscles cause the summer is going soon. And yoga is a relaxing way to do it, Thank you..

  • Hi Ester for 4 yrs now i have practiced yoga whenever i cant fit the gym into my schedule and it eventually became the only form of exercise i have time for. I love yoga but i have one problem which affects my willingness to try certain moves when i have lift my lower body weight and there's pressure my tail bone 'yoga mat or not' it hurts so bad. Ive tried putting a pad there to ease the pressure but it affects proper positioning. Could you recommend a correct way to help, please?

  • But i'm still fat! :(

  • I want to bang you so hard.

  • im seriously tryna watch this video and learn youg but that booty makes it difficult to listen . wear baggy clothe lady

  • You are the first person that has been able to get my lower abs stronger.

  • Thank you! This is beautiful! I teach myself hatha yoga and it's almost 10 years. I never came across with some of your nice postures. I should say In America the culture of Yoga is being improvised and changing. people shouldnt look for yoga postures for the Abs or they might miss the whole point of yoga. Yoga is not a sport. I havent yet looked at the rest of ur videos but i hope u remind us to breath and rest in between postures.yoga is not about burning calories, as you know. Namasthe!

  • thanks I really felt the burn much better than doing situps

  • I'm I the only one who thinks its weird that there is a condom ad on this video?

  • You do you straighten your back?

  • wish she was my teacher I'd pay attention!

  • Hello Esther, I've recently begun yoga and have fallen in love with all of your videos. While doing these exercises, however, I've noticed I'm feeling some pain at the base of my spine and the top of my sit-bones. It's most prominent when I have to pull my knees to my chest. I'm using a pillow as cushion, but it doesn't seem to be helping much.

    Any suggestions?

  • This is the first person i see on youtube that doesn't act like a crazy trainer!

  • hi Esther thanks for the video. I have kyphosis and my shoulders are pulled up and rounded to the front, so what kind of exercise would you suggest for this problem?

    thanks again.

  • haha i did the ending pose on the wii and i fell off the wii board. The wii board said "your balance dot hasnt moved! Are you still there?" i was laughing so hard that i couldnt get back on the wii board. at the end it said "i know you took a break during this excersise."

  • ;-) Wow... I did not know these were Yoga exercises. We did alot of these with pointed feet in my modern class. It definitely strengthens your psoas muscles. ;-)

  • I loooooooooove how you breathe while you do this, it makes it extremely easier for me and it helps to not hurt my back. The only thing I have problems with is reminding myself to use my stomach muscles and not my back, but with practice that gets easier. I really loved this and I can just feel the burn! Thank you sooo much for posting ^-^

  • Thank you so much for posting these videos.. I have never done yoga before and always wanted to try it (but i didnt want to go to a yoga class just yet, until i get some of the basics down) this really helped!! =)

  • Good stuff!

  • I find it easy keeping my back straight whilst sitting cross legged but my back still arches when I lay with my legs stretched out (like the beginning pose) how do I help to keep my back straight??

  • I am a beginner at yoga and i was wondering if there is a routine (of your videos) that I should do in the morning and at night? I am trying to get in the habit of atleast doing yoga every morning so I can lose some bad weight and feel great in my days and going to sleep.( I had been having bad sleep these past nights and your night time yoga routine got me knocked out THANK YOU :) )

  • It's 2 easy to do it

  • @slimfucu then ur not doing it right

  • totally yoga helps w everything

  • :( oh no

  • In the pose where you lean back on your forearms I have trouble with my neck. It starts to get tense and hurts. What do I do wrong?

Your videos are great and so helpful, Esther. Thank you! (I used to live in Enkhuizen in the 70s.)

  • 11 headaches, we're all helping each other but first help yourself : )

  • Love your videos!

  • i love you, you are a beautiful strong women, and thank you for posting this

  • What is best style of yoga for me? I have L-5 and S-1 fused, a Spinal Cord Stimulator Implant between the shoulder blades with a wire running down my back to an implanted battery pack in by butt, my femoral nerve was cut and I have 75% nerve reconnection, so my left knee can't hold much weight, I'm bone on bone at the top of my hip joint & I fell in the hospital and injured my knee, but can't have an MRI because of implant so no one knows what's wrong- but I want to work my whole body somehow.

  • Well I am Brazilian, and I do Yoga in Brazil. But when I'm home I love to make their classes! I wondered how often I do this lesson? Every day, after meals as it is?

Thank you! And Congratulations, your lessons are great!

  • thank you so very much for posting this. i was in need of help, as i could feel my body going out of alignment. this is gentle enough, safe enough, and yet it is so effective.

  • Anyone know what the move at 2:08 is called??????

  • at exactly 3:00 what is the move called? Or what would you refer to it as? As i am writing an article on yoga and Pilates and i would like to refer to this exercise. Thanks Joe Atherlay

wanted to ask you how many weeks you have to make this excersises, maybe you have a video for a rest of abs and core strenght.

thanks and many grettings from croatia and italy

  • im just starting yoga, and i love it. i have frequent headaches and i was wondering if yoga helps prevent headaches? thanks

  • @222saturn222 It will help you stress less. If your headaches are stress related...

  • @222saturn222 yoga helps with headaches, but if you happen to have headaches even after yoga, i suggest you see a neurologist. i saw one, and i found out that i had a sinus problem. he gave me antibiotics and my headaches have decreased. also, you have to be aware if you have headaches because your hungry or lack of sleep.

  • @222saturn222 Remember to take lots of vitamins to help build a healthy body. Most headaches are caused by a lack of them. Also Yoga, like any exercise, may help with bloodflow, which might help your headaches.

  • @TheGuardianCore Very true. Good advice

  • 2 questions does will this eventuly give you a six pack and where does yoga origanate from

  • Hi Esther

Is the yoga you do Hatha? I really like your videos and yoga but i would like to practise hatha or ashtanga but not kundalini. Thank you!

  • Esther,

Should I be feeling this in my lower back as well as my abs?

  • Esther you're great! Thank you so much for providing a comfortable starting place! And you're really pretty and have a loverly voice.

  • Esther, How do I keep my lower back from arching when I lower my legs? Thanks for all the great videos! I love doing them.

  • hi there, my question has nothing to do with this video, but i am not flexible at all, and i was wondering how i can become flexible and how long it will take. do you have a video about getting flexible?

  • You Make this look so easy!!

  • You are amazing, thank you!

I have a back injury at the moment but when I feel less pain I hope to try some of your routines. Thank you again for sharing.

  • Thanks Esther, loving it. Find it pretty challenging having rather a rotund belly which sometimes gets in the way but you are a very good teacher and I have no pain or anything bad with your teaching.

  • Awesome. We just released a yoga abs video too... check it out!

  • I love your videos, they are very easy to follow and you explain the feelings in the muscles so well that I know what to look for. These exercises are exactly what I have been looking for. This paired with a good fast walk each day, and suddenly I have a chance of getting into form again. Thank you!

  • Great routine! Thanks for sharing! I will check out your other videos too.

  • @ugidali I would leave definitely more time after food, as you have noticed your body tells you. Leave at least 1.5 hour, and maybe that isn't enough after a heavy meal, again, you'll feel it!

    good luck!

  • I admit it, this video was too hard for me !

  • @tamithomas pilates is developed from yoga:) not sure if i'm saying it right....

  • Hello Esther,

I love your yoga videos! I was wondering if you could suggest some yoga poses for sitting all day. Usually my days are spent on a chair I was wondering what good yoga positions would help me feel better. Thank you.

  • Thank you i loved this video! But i always only feel it in my lower back!

  • Goede video :))

  • @spacehookers She's Dutch

  • She's dutch, i know for sure, 'cause i'm dutch too..

  • namaskar esther, when you extend your leg you are exhaling. But since this is an opening movement shouldn't it be a inhale ? and exhale when you ull in ? just a doubt in my mind. thanks for sharing your knowledge.

  • Esther is Damn Gorgous. The yoga is Great as well.

  • Your videos are great. Thank you so much for posting.

  • Hello . When I tryed this some of it didnt really hurt . Is it because im doing it wrong ? Or Is it because im to young ?

    Thankyou =D

  • no its cause your lady gaga

  • yes, the yoga mat actually help a lot.. in the first place i used to do sit up on the floor without any mat.. and my tail bone hurts so much.. then, i went to bought a yoga mat.. and it do help you..

  • thank you so much for this video! it really helped me a lot : D

  • I am an abosulute beginner. Just began tonight while watching your videos. I was just wondering if it's normal for my tailbone to hurt while doing these poses or if the pain will go away in time? Does the yoga mat help that? Because I don't have one.

    Thank you =]

  • You should try using a small pillow. I have the same problem and that helps my tailbone bone a lot. :]

  • Thank you :)

  • Hi Esther! I wanted to know why it is , that although I do this exercise frequently, the one where your head turns one way and legs opposite, Why do I feel a crack in my upper right butt area, are cracks normal? Cause I panic when that happens, I just want to know can you dislocate something with these exercises? I really love doing them but I actually get tense when it's time to do that one.

  • If it doesn't feel right skip that one. Cracks always in the same place aren't great, modify, keep your feet on the ground and see does it still crack, or hold the pose to one side instead of dynamic going from side to side. I don't think you are dislocating anything but if it doesn't feel right it usually isn't right. Good luck.

  • m a beginner, afta two poses i was like call ambulance....god it's so difficult mayb in de beginning!....anyways thx will keep tryin!

  • wow im a beginner and this was a challange for me but i absolutely love it and she is a very good teacher

  • This is excellent especially for beginners. good detailed explanations. felt like i worked out and felt energetic afterwards.

  • the next time you should not wear a pant with the same color than the carpet so we can see better positions... :) maybe a short also so we can see what muscles are working... thank you

  • ahhh i can only hold each pose for a split second! can anyonesuggest any EASIER core poses?? please!

  • Just hold on and keep trying. Eventually, u will be surprised how soon that can happen, the strenght to keep the positions for longer will come.

  • I like her

  • I love her accent

  • Is it safe to do these excercises while you have pulled muscles?

  • You should really ask your doctor.

  • good question! yoga is safe for anyone, but just be very careful, do beginner for quite some time and slowly work up to intermediate, but yea just be very considerate and do not but any strain on yourself, unlike exercising, when you feel too much strain it's bad

    -advanced yoga person

  • is there any yoga for man?

  • All yoga can be done by man, especially this sequence !

  • duh yoga is for anybody
