Antibiotics are not meant as preventative measure, unlike proper diet, exercise, daily vitamins, proper sleeping habits, drinking water, and washing your hands. That's why I and many others don't get sick. It's as simple as living well.
That's a good idea at the University too.

Bacitraycin is the spelling on the tube I used. And it worked--on multiple flights between continents!
