  • f*cking hell, i'd love a trapdoor spider

  • One thing about trapdoor spiders is that you can tell when they are hungry.

  • very nice...thinking on getting one myself. how often does it need to be fed?

  • Most of us bug keepers fed their animals way more often than they probably eat in the wild. I feed mine about once a week, but they would do well (better?) with food much less often.

  • Im getting the same as yours! I already have an African red so now I am getting a black one. I know how to care for them. All they need is a deep container filled with at least eight inches of bed-a-beast(works well for mine)for it to make a burrow in. My trapdoor spider is kept in a large glass cylender and mist I it twice a week.

  • Awesome! I had a red one years ago. I keep mine in coco fiber too. Good Luck!

  • Buying one right now!

  • That's great! What kind, same as mine? Do you know how to care for it?

  • Thank you for the info. This is the only other place I can find other than "Jansen Exotics" that has trap door spiders.

  • Cute video! :) What kind of trapdoor spider is that and where did you get it from?

  • I believe this one came from Tanzania and is probably Gorgyrella sp. I'll send you a PM for purchase info.

  • Oh my god, that's so great! I just keep watching it over and over, with the music lined up so perfectly its so amusing, haha.
