Manifested food for thousands...and was as light as a feather. Not to mention other miraculous things he's done. :) This is a few reasons why people worshiped him. :)

Good example...I was in the back of a barns N Nobles, and I was chanting "Om Namah Shivaya" to myself, and when my friends and I got up to go in I looked down and saw on a license plate "BBJ" or "Babaji". Another was when I was coming out of Yoga class at my high school, and I was chanting the same thing. I was at the bus stop and I saw a bus pass with a poster reading "I am near you". Namaste :)

many (including myself) believe Babaji to believe an immortal saint that chose a long time ago to spend his eternity blessing humanity and guiding us toward ascesion. Twice Babaji took on physical incarnations, the first of which Yogananda refers to in his book, the second in India in the mid 1980's where he took on a grown form, the motherless Saint reffered to in the bible.
Babaji is forever and everywhere and we are ONE with him.
