The reason I bring this up is that some of my friends are Iraqi's who supported the intervention, they told me about some of the things what happened during Saddam's rule and how they though it was sad that people like yourself were unable to find solidarity with those Iraqi's who were fighting with the coalition and working to instal a democratic movement which until that point were simply crushed..

It all amounted to NOTHING. Is this what other atheists are working hard for? Or is it the fleeting enjoyment in life that permanently vanishes without a trace upon death, as if it never existed?
But if he's wrong, then he might be in for it, and he can't undo anything. He's blown his chance forever.

What Hitchens, and other atheists are working hard for is to free ourselves from the chains of religion. We have one life, and we cannot trivialize it with the notion that our soul is eternal. Hitchens has achieved life after death, just as you can by achieving greatness here on earth, and leaving your mark.

If atheists are correct, as soon as you die, you'll no longer be able to value anything. Sure, you have value while alive, but what good is something if it totally disappears?
If God and the afterlife are real, suddenly everyone's life has INFINITE value (even atheists) because it determines your ETERNITY. But only theists logically have something to live for.
