I´m afraid that maybe you didn´t ever listened to really singing sand...

Go to Hawai or Egypt, because this video shows a pretty vulgar sand found everywhere, I´m afraid. Here in Portugal it seems that all sand squeack is quite normal.

I don´t understand why there is seen as uncommon... In Egypt singing sands sounds like big drums playing together, in Hawai like dogs calling!
