Such information would then negate any torrent of individual requests. Perhaps no investigator bothered to ask or clear it up.

If you notice, on many other videos, you will see a WHITE plane leaving the WTC South Tower immediately after it is hit. You will also see a WHITE PLANE leave the Pentagon area after that attack!!! the footage qwas shot from Brooklyn or possibly southern Queens. From this angle Newark airport airspace would be visible, west of the WTC. if teh tiem stamp is correct this "mystery" plane would have already been taxi-ing onto a Newark runway when the 1st plane hit.
