Troubleshooting PC Sound Problems - Speakers, Recording and Sound for Internet Phone

My laptop has a some kind of an unwanted "noise gate." Not only does it muff out all the sounds that are below a certain db, it also fades in and out like INSANE. It is easily noticable when it plays the opening of Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold.

Can anyone help me? My sound is working and so are my speakers, but my volume just keeps turning down by itself. When I turn it back up it turns back down. What do I do? I don't think there's a tutorial on that :(

problem my sound keeps ecowing (sorry about spelling i can't spell) what should i do when i play a song e.g eminem cold wind its say im as cold as the cold winds blow and in the background it just ecows its really annoying please help :)

@douhnutz nope.. its annoying me lol, both the speakers and headphones are barely noticable in sound levels, even though they appear to be working fine ¬.¬ i came accross some input codes that seem to have made alot of people with the same problems work, but how and where would i input codes into the computer :/ lol i need it fixed asap haha

my problem is that when i record something kinda loud like a guitar into a mic thats plugged into the computer, the guitar sounds find for like 3 seconds but then the sound of the audio kinda like goes outer space sounding or like i dont know exactly how to explain it it kind goes empty sounding.

my computer has beeps and logging in sounds but it only plays sound for a couple youtube videos, i cant figure it out

Assuming you mean sonds and videos downloaded from the Internet, it would be a CODEC problem (google CODEC).

alright.. my problem is that I Have Sound... but IT Has A HIGH Pitch sound... how could i fix the Problem... every video or song i have,,,, its too High and faster than normal.... it sounds like Alvin and the chipmunks!!!

Sounds like a physical speaker failure, like the speaker cone is sticking at the voice coil and the big magnetic punch loosens it up.

I cant get any sound from my left speaker unless a loud booming sound is made, then after that my speaker works for about 2 to 3 hours. Can u help.
