it is a very unusual mecanical design. There are two chests for the lower manual, one for the upper manual. This saves space for the depth of the instrument. The two hoses feed off of the central wind trunk, and allow the upper chest to fold open without having to disconnect a wooden wind duct. They are made from material used to feed facade pipes in pipe organs. The reservoir (expression sop off) will be installed, but I am learning to play without it!
I think he has all the respect of Mustel, Debain and all the other magical Builders of the 19th century. He deserves the respect and congratulations of all for such an accomplishment. Dean is a genius.
I need to get some more antique walnut fr the top...my stock is used up. I have an 1870s Persian carpet to cut up....but that will be a detail for later :)
Did you make a percussion action or is that for later?
