  • i have built some and they turned out nice....i just got some new trucks for them recently and i have the best bearings you can get i carved really good and i have slid on that thing so bad

  • thanks for getting back at me. you should make a tutorial or just a video describing how you made your press/jig. i was planning on using maple but for the longer board do yuo think itd be better to use birch (as you did) or perhaps bamboo? sorry for spamming you, but your definetly the most proffesional at building longboards on youtube that ive seen :)

  • thats an amazing job. definetly doesnt look home made :D im guessing you used 1/16th ply and layered them. im curently planning on making a 7ft longboard and im prbly just gunna use 3/4 inch maple plywood. there wont be any concave but im ok with that. any tips you have that come from expirience?

  • @jmtaulu Only that a 7ft board will offer many challenges as far as flexibility goes. If your profile is too narrow you may find that the first time you stand on it, it touches the floor, even at 3/4. it is better to offset the flex with either some reversed camber or convex shaping. Thats how manufacturers get away making the longer decks, through layering and glueing themselves, and shaping. Just like skis and snowboards. Watch how those are made, it makes this look easy.

  • Dude these are sick...what kind of glue do you use?

  • @MattAlisch I use titebond III which is the same compound as it's industrial equivalent "multibond Ez-1"

  • Your website is still not up?

  • @013MasteRSA Yes, it is still not up. Too busy playing and screwing around..

  • how do u get the concave in the middle i cant ever figure that out all mine were flat

  • @rcplane56 you put a long block of wood down the middle then put some over lapping on top of that 1 and then clamp it all down

  • @rcplane56 Making a press and shaping the board the way you want it to come out.

  • on board 5, how did you get the ends like that?

  • @aidan649 Through using a new press profile and lot's of pressure. I was even impressed, because there was no bounceback out of the press.

  • what kind of wood do you use?

  • @igiveuppickone plies of baltic birch.

  • thumbs up if you longboard and that would be your dream job!

  • @Dukecornflakes My dream job would be to longboard all day

  • what brand are the clear wheels you put on your drop deck

  • @Slokey3 They were actually orange. That was just a BW photo. Can't remember..

  • Cool boards man. I'm thinking about doing a drop deck as well. How did you bend the wood without having it bend back on you. Also could you post some riding videos as I would love to see them in action.

  • nice board, very similar to landyachtz time machine

  • why are there onl two comments and both are removed?

  • @AutomatikSynthetik I accidentally deleted them... Oops.
