This bugged me as a kid but Bridget read the card wrong. Bridget said To: David, From: Bridget when they cut to the card it said the opposite. I am guessing she was super excited. I wondered if they missed that when filming and caught it in editing so they showed the card. That still bugs me.
That made me laugh as a kid (I wasn't born when the episode aired.) But the stuff with Bert and Josh made me cry. And the clips of Bert were touching. And the scene with Michelle and Ed was touching.
@sneeyize45 That would have been in the first few months of 1976. I think the clip that follows is from one of the Christmas's from the last half of the 1970's, I'm thinking Christmas 1978. The clip at 2:39 is from I do believe Christmas 1976 and has the young Freddie Bauer (what Rick was called back then before the first adult Rick, Phil MacGregor, came back on to the show in December 1982) on the Bert's sofa as Bert walks by.
The surgeon can finally work a VCR, glad to hear. I like Ed's haircut. I wish I remembered Bill & Bert together. Love Papa Bauer. Wish I'd gotten to see him. Bert's new leg was a great story. She looks terrific there. I reference this scene of Josh & Bert in my Manny fanfic Lighthouse Princess. Charita rocked! Michelle later talks about Ed showing her these movies of Bert when she & Danny name their son.

That clip at 2:15 is from Roger and Peggy Thorpe's wedding day when Adam Thorpe and Bert Bauer were the only ones in attendance.
