Can't wash the equipment with the temperature below freezing. Yesterday a few trains were washed, and I'm sure as the weather warms up, more and more will start playing catch-up with the car wash. Also, the locomotives are almost all steel with the exception of the roof hatches being fiberglass. This one looks like it's almost due for rebuild.

MTA budget cuts have now apparently precluded the washing of the fucking fiberglass doorstops. This one looks bad on the engineer's side, but the fireman's side was WAY worse......oil, grease, grime, wintertime sludge, all on top of being the worst paint scheme ever applied to an AMD103.
