When you ram a car like that you should go for the axle of the car that is opposite the cars engine. But if the car I just passed exploded I would be hesitant to make contact with a second vehicle for fear it would have explosives really tough situation.

Good observation. Although, I believe the scenario would likely have people in or around the second car trying to block your way, so they're more likely not to explode themselves and the car. I would aim for the people and also try not to destroy my own car so I can still escape. I don't guess they talk about running over people in a tactical driving spy video on NG.

Something they fail to mention is most cars will not restart post collision until you reset some type of motor kill switch designed to kill the motor to prevent fire. This is great stuff but most cars today will not allow you to escape as easy as all that.
