I remember seeing this film for the first time as a kid when it came out in the 1960's. I thought it was so great and loved all of the songs. I had hoped at the time that they would release the soundtrack from the movie. Still great after all these years!

i'm not sure where you heard music videos first came in the 80's music and picture has been used together as long as i can think back, from opera, to magic lanterns being sold with sheet music, to the musicals of the black and white era, and from the 50's they'd show the songs from musicals on television. 80's was a big time for music videos

On the other hand, no one could ever accuse these Beatles of not singing songs that were made public by the vinyl, radio or Tv medias.
