@ctrackmonger NSAIDs are useful because they cause no psychoactive side effects so are safe if doing things like driving, working etc and ethical. Getting ulcers is very uncommon and is linked to alcohol misuse. The long term effects of thc are unknown at present and there is correlative data showing it linked with mental illness. Just be careful is my advise

why not go chemicall free,puree the pot,fill a mason jar half,then add water then add 4 ice cubes..pop into the freezer for 25 mins then remove shake like hell then pour over a wire strainer into a pot.....repeat this process once more then blow dry the water in the pot untill the waters evaporated then scrape the powder into a vial or whatever.

I am all for Medical Marijuana. What i find hard to believe is that processing cannabis to make hemp oil doesn't make it more harmful. For example Coca leaves get you high.But when processed with chemicals it becomes deadly. The same as opium. when processed to heroine. The same as peyote made to pure mescaline. I believe in MM because it helps with my cronic pains and my PTSD i got from Iraq. But I have not tried hemp oil. But baking with marijuana eases my pains. Smoking it eases my nerves.
@ctrackmonger I hear what you are saying. The thing with Hemp Oil though is you are not adding anything to it. There are no other chemicals that will be in the final product. The process of heating it with a solvent is what makes it into a concentrated oil. The solvent itself is what will burn out while at the same time converting the cannabis into a highly concentrated oil. The end result is Cannabis Oil.

I have a science degree and I work as a pharma sales rep. I can tell you that everything I have read about any anti inflammatory(advil, tylenol) says they ARE dangerous and that they should only be used in the smallest doses for the shortest period of time. The danger lies in the effects of the drugs on the cv and gi systems and should be avoided by anybody who has ulcers. The marijuana when taken any other way then burned at high temp(smoking) has no negative effects.
They are completely safe? Some of those anti inflammatorys are steroids based. Most NSAID's cause ulcers. They eat the lining of your stomach over time. Yes they ALIVE will eat your stomach walls if taken every day. Acetaminophen or better known as Tylenol will kill you if overdosed. As will aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. And you think they are all safe? You can not OD on weed. Proven in studies. But every pill named here can kill you.

Its not that dangerous to make - you do need vetilation thats for sure but hell we used to smoke ciggys while making it. You can make with pressure cooker and fitting a copper pipe to it - this will release the evaporating solvent into the copper tube which will drip out (into container) so you can re-use. Hell we did this over a gas flame too! Though I havent done this since teenager. I do miss weed at times though - never did me any harm just made me tad unmotivated at times :-)
I use Ibuprofen sometimes, and yes it does give some relief, but as it is a chemical drug it only covers the symptom. It doesn't go to work on the cause.

A test on rats is some promise, but it is ahrd to generalise to human beings.
What people dont seem to understand is that a cancer cell is the same as a normal cell, but its cell regulation mechanisms have been compromised. There are literally thousands of ways this can occur, so to single out a individual cancer cell is a very tough thing to do.
So far we are miles away from a cure, but lots of research is always happening. THC shows some promise, but in the same way as a cup of hot tea

Ive done my research and this is not a cure for cancer. I dont mean using google, I mean reading FULLY all the scientific studys done by real scientists in real labs using cannabinoids.
How about going on the pubmed website (google it) and tap in 'cannabinoids' and 'cancer' there are a load of studies you can read on there - theres quite a bit of scientific jarhgon, but read the abstracts for a general idea of what thet study was about
If this is true, then you would realize that looking beyond the generalizations that abstracts provide and peering deeper into the statistics is the only valid way of arriving at such a conclusion. These "real scientists" could be a high school science teacher and his team (students); I am not discountiing the science and method that they would use to arrive at such menial conclusions, but it seems that this is the type of logic you are using.
I was suggesting that people read the abstracts only because you need biochemical knowledge to understand the studies as most average folk will not understand it.
Why dont u take my advise and read up on the studies yourself.

@ctrackmonger I hear what you are saying. The thing with Hemp Oil though is you are not adding anything to it. There are no other chemicals that will be in the final product. The process of heating it with a solvent is what makes it into a concentrated oil. The solvent itself is what will burn out while at the same time converting the cannabis into a highly concentrated oil. The end result is Cannabis Oil.

I have a science degree and I work as a pharma sales rep. I can tell you that everything I have read about any anti inflammatory(advil, tylenol) says they ARE dangerous and that they should only be used in the smallest doses for the shortest period of time. The danger lies in the effects of the drugs on the cv and gi systems and should be avoided by anybody who has ulcers. The marijuana when taken any other way then burned at high temp(smoking) has no negative effects.

They are completely safe? Some of those anti inflammatorys are steroids based. Most NSAID's cause ulcers. They eat the lining of your stomach over time. Yes they ALIVE will eat your stomach walls if taken every day. Acetaminophen or better known as Tylenol will kill you if overdosed. As will aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. And you think they are all safe? You can not OD on weed. Proven in studies. But every pill named here can kill you.

Its not that dangerous to make - you do need vetilation thats for sure but hell we used to smoke ciggys while making it. You can make with pressure cooker and fitting a copper pipe to it - this will release the evaporating solvent into the copper tube which will drip out (into container) so you can re-use. Hell we did this over a gas flame too! Though I havent done this since teenager. I do miss weed at times though - never did me any harm just made me tad unmotivated at times :-)

Ibuprofen is a good anti inflamatory. It is cheap, and has virtually no side effects.. and is legal.
Weed has many side effects, has not been extensively tested and is addictive. I would think carefully before taking this substance,

I use Ibuprofen sometimes, and yes it does give some relief, but as it is a chemical drug it only covers the symptom. It doesn't go to work on the cause.

A test on rats is some promise, but it is ahrd to generalise to human beings.
What people dont seem to understand is that a cancer cell is the same as a normal cell, but its cell regulation mechanisms have been compromised. There are literally thousands of ways this can occur, so to single out a individual cancer cell is a very tough thing to do.
So far we are miles away from a cure, but lots of research is always happening. THC shows some promise, but in the same way as a cup of hot tea

Eating whole foods greatly reduces your risk factor because it gives your body what it needs to function properly. It is a fact that several cultures such as in the amazon do not get cancer and they live well into their 90's for the average person; With a high percentage of the people living to a hundred or more. This is a fact. Now just because you don't know about them does not mean it is not a fact. And the tone of this is not meant to be harsh. Some simple research is all is needed. A visit to other cultures outside the U.S is a wake up call.

There is a few studies. The major study was conducted in Spain. The problem is that in America the cultivation is illegal. Unless the government does the study. In studies in the late 70's early 80's in America done in Mich. and NY. The scientist informed the government that it was a helpful plant. Government shrugged it off and made it illegal to study due to cultivation laws. 13 States with MM. Canada as a country sees MM as helpful. No conclusion look it up for yourself. All over then net.

ACS has even recognized the research on their website. And maybe you should google journal of clinical oncology thc cancer study. Third link down, PHASE II STUDY. Read the blue paragraph. If you have a degree maybe you can understand everything else.

I have looked at the research papers thank you and am interested in the findings, but as I keep repeating we are miles away from a cure. Cancer is not a single disease with one cause, but has literally thousands of causes within cells. Cell regulation is a massively complex process, and a mistake in one aspect of it can cause cancer. There will never be a magic bullet for cancer, but we can pick away at the causes and cure some

the same can be achieved by simmering the bud in water and cream for 4 hours.
use as a whitener in beverages or smoothies.

Ive done my research and this is not a cure for cancer. I dont mean using google, I mean reading FULLY all the scientific studys done by real scientists in real labs using cannabinoids.
How about going on the pubmed website (google it) and tap in 'cannabinoids' and 'cancer' there are a load of studies you can read on there - theres quite a bit of scientific jarhgon, but read the abstracts for a general idea of what thet study was about

If this is true, then you would realize that looking beyond the generalizations that abstracts provide and peering deeper into the statistics is the only valid way of arriving at such a conclusion. These "real scientists" could be a high school science teacher and his team (students); I am not discountiing the science and method that they would use to arrive at such menial conclusions, but it seems that this is the type of logic you are using.

These are the only way to really see whether these miracle cures work. Anecdotal stories of rick simpson and others is NOT evidence.
