Art and Steve used to come skate our ramp in the valley with the Skull Skates people. Hacket, mark partain. We loved it when they showed up. The box ramp was an awesome place.

I remeber when i first saw and intervev on Thrasher, may be, and i saw those inked .. i understood the connection between skateboard, punk rock , tattoo & street life..

i think the were the oldest guys in the hstreet team ...and this was the reason couse they will never acclaimed as great pro skaters... skateboard is business that invests in the Future's pros ..lol

Big respect to the Godoy brothers...

It was when I watched "Shackle me Not" and saw I think it was Art's elbow with the skull circle, that I thought, I want ink too.

That was when I was 15 years of age.

I also like their interest in punkrock, it realy got me into the harder type of music.

I can only but agree on their comment to the tattoo"world", freakin' tv shows on tattooing... No respect and the China lowbudget machines...

Art and Steve taught me how to swear when I was a little kid in Lancaster, PA. I lost it when I was watching H-Street 'Shackle Me Not' in my sister's house and she said, "I know a set of twins named Art and Steve..."

Thanks for sharing this. As a professional tattooer of 11yrs I have a lot of respect for the Godoy Bros. They are the real deal. I'm about their age if not a bit older and back in that era you didn't tattoo. It wasn't "in". Maybe you had one tattoo or something you got when you were 18. But getting covered no F'n way... It just wasn't something you did... cheers to the Godoys.... they were before their time.
