  • I don't understand this video or why people are directing to it like crytek did something wrong? All I see is some QQ about the Demo/Beta they released (which was awesome) and it doesn't even make any sense. It's not fucking aimbot either, it's the exact same aim assistance that every single newer FPS has. The last 3-4 CoD games have featured the same thing; so again I don't know wtf everyone is QQing about. Crytek did an amazing job, Crysis 2 is beautiful.

  • @Swmhunter go fuck yourself

  • @KaizerNail What an intelligent well thought out answer. No sir, go fuck YOURSELF. Fucking CoD fags.

  • @Swmhunter Aim assistance should never be included in a PC game. Those CoD games got criticized for it.

  • so sad video :(

  • It's hard to tell if you love the first or the second one more

  • Wait, so they actually put in magnet aiming for the PC version of the game? FFFFFUUUUUU-

  • @PKrising24 They did put in auto-aim, but you can disable it from the options menu (, which I had proudly done).

  • they fuckin sold themselves. fuckin disgrace.

  • Should have checked the graphics options. What a freaking embarrassment.

  • Heavy: OOH IT IS SAD DAAAY :(

  • forever sad

  • we dont care that ure sad

  • @OtakuPraetorius I would spam "citation needed" all over your comment in red ink if possible.

  • @WhereisthatFlyingbox Logic. Absolutely everyone know how to pirate games on the PC. Few people know that you can pirate games on consoles too. Thus, piracy is worse on the PC than on consoles.

  • @Corvaillian

And a Fable 3 designer said that Secondhand Games (What you on consoles) is worse than Piracy (what you get on PC)

  • dude u forgot to adjust ure tv brightness

  • :(

  • oh god i remember all that

  • Isn't it sad?

There are hardly any PC exclusives these days and we mostly get bad ports.

People try to make games as simplified and dumbed down as possible, because they know that's easy profit with the console gamers, to whom they want to appeal. (Crysis 2 is the most obvious example.)

PCs are being almost completely neglected.

Good job biting off the hand that fed you for so many years, gaming industry.

  • @UshiromiyaReiji Yeah, but luckily we'll have The Witcher 2 this year. :) And Portal 2 will feature tons of free mods and Battlefield 3 is being developed and shown on PC.

  • @ilovelctr

But CD Projekt admitted Witcher 2 was designed as a multi platformer from the beginning.

I REALLY hope it is a PC exclusive, but at this point, it's verfy, very unlikely. (GUI, combat, mechanics are simplified and suitable for 360 controllers, it was even played with one in the E3 video..)

As for Portal 2, Gabe Newell was quoted saying that the PS3 version will be the best version of the game.

I don't know in what context, though.

I hope we get at least Battlefield 3 as an exclusive.

  • @UshiromiyaReiji Well, Gabe said the PS3 version is the best console version, cuz it comes along with a free digital copy of the PC version, and it supports PC/PS3 cross-platform co-op. So PC version is still the best but those who have both a PC and a PS3 are more likely to buy the PS3 version instead cuz it's natural that ppl want more stuff, but for me lower price of the PC version is also attractive. :P Yeah I know about the TW2 thing, kinda sad but we still have mouse, better than analog.

  • @ilovelctr

I did hear they left DX9 behind for BF3, which sounds very good. And promising.

    And we've always had mods.

But think about it - there are just three (theoretically PC-exclusive) games we PC gamers expect this year and we're not completely sure if any of them will actually be exclusives.

  • lol'd hard

  • :(

  • Lol I agree about Crysis being a console port but this is pretty funny

  • ;(

  • DX9 - #LOL

  • What song and what video editor?

  • @Septagotius Schindler's List soundtrack by John Williams, played by I. Perlman.

  • :(

  • the games a bit better now i swear :'(

  • :(

  • This is the demo you can see it at 0:26

  • wait you uploaded this vid before release?

  • @starfox300 "Crysis 2 (TM) Demo has stopped working"

  • Why didn't you show the "choice" of graphical settings? That's the worse part.

  • proudly pirated

  • @FoxHoundUnit89 had the same problem with the demo.. not pirated bro :/

  • This game sure looks incredible!

    just kidding, Fuck you, crytek

  • @lljkceski hey what video editor did you use for the subtitles... :( I want to make my own....... *Sob*

  • Er, why are you attempting to join nearly full servers and then sad facing when somebody else happens to join at the same time as you?

Also, I'm not sure if the aim assist applies to online.

  • @twitchinstereo The server he tried to join was 4/12

  • @TimTehPilot My mistake. With how fast it went I thought he'd clicked on the 11/12 one.

  • I just finished playing Crysis 2 on the PC.

    What a crock of shit.

The game is dumbed down to hell, or "streamlined", as morons would put it.

Instead of having armor as your default mode and being able to select cloak, speed, and strength, you can only choose between armor and cloak, and both drain power.

You have no option of sprinting without using up suit power.

Out of power? Too bad, you have to slowly walk behind cover, if you even make it.

    Continued...

  • ...

The game's visuals are about as realistic as Killzone 2.

Absolutely every single source of light has to leave some sort of post process bullshit trace on your screen.

Instead of dedicating processing power to things that actually contribute to the visuals, it's spent on cheap camera effects that only fools kids, and console gamers, into thinking it's something worth looking and be amazed at.

    Continued...

  • ...

And unlike Crysis 1, this game assumes you're a complete moron and literally tells you what options you've got when getting into a situation, and even those options are few.

In the first game you could literally tackle any situation however you desired, as there were no bounds in the level.

The only boundaries were natural things, like steep cliffs.

In Crysis 2, expect to encounter many invisible walls.

    Continued...

  • ...

In Crysis 1, no place was safe, any shack, hut, roof, or wall could be brought down with a grenade, or an explosive, or a car that was driven into it.

This is what made it fun, because it brought these factors into play.

Anyone who tells you that Crysis 1 was boring is because they were too stupid to do anything other than running and gunning, they were unimaginative.

    Continued...

  • ...

In Crysis 2, only things that are predetermined to be destroyed are destroyable.

Running and gunning becomes your only way to play.

Shooting a barrel and throwing it on a target to blow it up came natural in Crysis 1.

In Crysis 2 such things becomes a chore, because, as I wrote in the first part, the suit has been severely nerfed.

Nothing you throw goes further than 10 yards, and it also drains all of your suit power. No joke.

    Continued...

  • ...

Who's to blame for this mediocrity?

It would be easy to throw the blame on console gaming, as PC games in almost all cases do become dumbed down when there is a console version being made simultaneously.

But ultimately, it is the game developers who go "this is good enough", and decide to put out such horrid crap.

One thing that was constantly on my mind while playing the game and encountering many little nitpicks was, "I wish I was playing the first one".

    Continued...

  • ...

Truth is, the many nitpicks which I haven't mentioned, they all add up to the mediocre experience.

Not being able to destroy something with explosives, but shooting it does the job.

Horrible level design with allows you to skip entire areas if you're running through with cloak turned on.

Not being able to put any attachment on any weapon, as they are all weapon specific.

Not able to run fast enough, not able to jump high enough, not able to throw far enough.

    Continued...

  • ...

    The list goes on.

But to sum it all up, it's simply not a fun game.

People who haven't played the first will think it is, because they haven't been spoiled.

This rant went on longer than I was intending, as you can guess I'm pretty upset.

If there's anything you should get or quote out of this rant, it's this:

Crysis 2 would've been a superiour game had it just been a level pack on top of an optimized version of the first core game.

    Continued...

  • ...

I spit on you Crytek, and I spit on your game.

You killed one of the last good things PC gamers had.

    End of transmission.

  • @P4INKiller I think you're confusing this area with your personal blog.

  • :(

  • :(

  • Adjust your TV brightness :(

  • I love crysis 2 but I think that crysis 1 was better.

  • EPIC FAIL.

  • lol I laugh knowing that pc gamers try to blame consoles for ruining games. Game developers are fully capable of making 2 versions of a game its been done before. So it's not a console fault. If your gonna bitch write a complaint form to Crytek. I've never seen people complain so much over something such as this. Reason half a people buy a console is because everytime you buy new hardware for a pc something new comes out 4 months later its a waste of money. Your not progressing in hardware your

  • Comment removed

  • @GameChallenges upgrading your hardware there is a big difference there. I use to play on PC all the time but it got ridiculous buying new hardware that didn't make much of a difference. What increasing your fps not by much? Adding a new graphics card to make things not even half much noticeable than it was before. Its a joke a reason people buy consoles is so they don't have to do that crap. Pc isn't far ahead than a console a ps3 is just as capable of running things.

  • Hahah, great vid! Funny how I noticed exactly the same things shown in this video when I tried the Crysis demo. :(

Video game industry today, is in a really, really sad state and should be euthanized and put down like the sick deviation it is.

  • Great video, it made me laugh!

Sad that consoles are dragging PC gaming down even further...

    Oh how I miss crysis 1 :(

  • so much for master race

  • The autoaim likely means the game is going to be insanely easy. The trademark for a consolized first or third person shooter is that the weakest gun (pistol) is actually the most powerful because it's just headshot after headshot after headshot with the mouse (with autoaim disabled).

How good are the enemies at hiding in Crysis 2? Because consolized FPSes have the AI's running in the open and/or standing perfectly still while you take your time aiming at their heads.

  • im gonna cry :(

  • You people stupid? Just use your brains and work around the bugs, it's not impossible. And it's not like they completely took away the option for aim assist. Just turn it off if you don't like it. It wont help those who have it on that much, and it seems fair for the newbs to be able to find a little help from the game. Start button? Just click it. You could even interpret it to mean press the word 'start' with your mouse button. This game isn't ruined, you people are just being picky.

  • Another good series ruined by consoles. Is that really the full extent of the options menu?

  • :'(

  • i will pirate this, delete it and pirate it again. I will not stand for this atrocity.

  • @imadoofus123 No fucking wonder they go to consoles.

  • FUCK YEAH DX9 IN 2012 FUCK YEAH CONSOLES

  • Лошара!!! stupid!

  • whoever saves one games, saves the industry entire.

  • I CRY T_T

  • Aha ! And I thought it was my firewall that the fail demo couldn't connect.

  • Bullshit, you can always point out the bad parts of a game -.-

  • They released a patch last week for the demo, that renames "Press Start.." to "Press Enter.." :D

  • what's the name of the song?

  • @88arsenio88 Remembrances

  • @88arsenio88

     watch?v=yMx2SKIRkw4

  • one of the saddest most heart touching videos i have ever seen ='[ bravo lljkceski, you sure know how to pull at a guy's heart strings

  • Haha.. I can't decide whether to laugh or cry..

  • I had none of these issues, the game says "Press Enter" for me, it runs at hardcore settings with no issues and I don't have any problems getting into a game. Fail for you.

  • @ginkgonk122 You obviously didn't start playing it until after they patched it.

  • @animefr33k Pretty sure I downloaded it day one and reached the highest rank. PC gamers are acting so childish. They seem to think its been dumbed down for consoles, but they're wrong. Its just more focused. Streamlined. Like Mass Effect 2 over its predecessor. Crysis was hardly perfect, by making the game more streamlined its just more focused. There's nothing wrong with it.

  • @ginkgonk122 Well you obviously did not because everyone seen the press start not enter screen and there was a huge upset about it. Crytek released a patch and one of the things they decided to change was so it would say enter, you can go google it. Being dumbed down I'm not sure of but there's no lean, no maximum strength and no graphic settings besides something a console user would say. "Gamer, Advanced, and HARDCORE!" oh boy and no advanced to change it yourself.

  • @animefr33k No I saw it, chuckled a bit and they changed it a few days later. Didn't bother me. The fact that people get upset about seeing the phrase "start" over "enter" is pretty pathetic if you ask me. Seriously its a game. Lean is in the single player if you watch any of the gameplay reviews or previews. And maximum strength and speed are implemented automaticly, like I said streamlined. And so what if theres no advanced options to tweak the graphical settings?

  • @ginkgonk122 You obviously don't realize why they got upset then, Crytek was saying that the PC version would be the one they work on the most as in they would port to the consoles not the other way around. They tried to reassure the PC users (also known as the people who made them what they are) that they wouldn't get screwed over and look at it now. "Press Start" symbolizes that they didn't even bother fixing it from the xbox demo and ported it to their main fanbase.

  • @ginkgonk122 Also don't say "so what" if there's no advanced options. Everybody knows how advanced the graphics were in the first game. The first game is so widely known for having the best graphics that people do benchmarks on that game to see how well their computer can handle it and removing something which kind of made the first game even better to the now outdated DirectX9 that released back in 2004 is a big step back. We're on DirectX 11 now and we want to use it.

  • @animefr33k It's coming. Relax dude. I still don't see how this has anything to do with it coming to consoles. No-one seems to draw up the fact that the games been optimized so well that it runs and looks great on lesser rigs. Something I think should be applauded.

  • @ginkgonk122 You seem to be forgetting it's running in DirectX 9 which cheap little consoles can do so of course it runs well on cheaper rigs. Multiplayer was downgraded as well since it came to consoles, 32 players in the original and now we get what? 16? Yeah consoles ruin everything.

  • @animefr33k But it still looks absoloutely gorgeous, and is a lot more accessible than its original. Oh and stfu about the multiplayer. Because the gameplay is more focused and streamlined. The multiplayer is also more confinded. Its not like Crysis Wars was that great in the first place. The maps are smaller, its more focused and better paced.

Hasn't every single reviewer praised how much improved the multiplayer is compared to the original?

  • @ginkgonk122

visually it looks worse than Crysis 1

and it was already an fps, you can't get much more accessible

  • @maddog050 Not the game more accessible, the ability to run it. It's been optimized so that it works runs better. I can run it at Extreme with out a single drop in frames. And have you played it? I'm about 5 hours in and it looks absoloutely flipping gorgeous.

  • @maddog050 It looks way better dude... Max it out and open your eyes...

  • So sad.

  • A pre-release demo does not represent the final game.

  • Welcome to the tutorial about the procedure to kill PC gaming (presented by Crytek):

    Step 1. sell your proud PC-exclusive franchise(s) to a fast-food-style game developer (e.g. We sold Far Cry to Ubisoft);

    Step 2. ignore the gatekeeping work of your beta software because it's easier to blame someone else (e.g. Our inner staff leaked Crysis 2 for Windows and we preferred to blame PC gamers for it);

Step3. offer PC gamers a shitty port where they can find 360 signs, so they'll know PC sucks.

  • @ilovelctr step 4: make bullshitve anouncements that the pc version will be a pc game and that the graphics will be better than the first game and not worse.

step 5: bullshit pc gamers some more with fake dx11 anouncements on an otherwise dx9 only game and tell them that you take the complains seriously and thats why you fixed the press start to begin only to see a "adjust your tv settings" afterwards. Finally patch your mp that is played more by pirates than buyers because they cant log in.

  • This video is so simple yet so sad and moving..

  • They finally fixed Press Start to Press Enter.

    HUGE PATCH!

  • @ThisIsAGreatName Well considering that's most of what people are complaining about here that should get them set to see that it's actually a great game.

  • @leewolfgang

Lol it's not a great game at all.

You obviously never played Crysis Wars.

  • @ThisIsAGreatName Is CW good or not? It's hard to tell, considering this channel was once for disliking Crysis, but now it's for whining about Crysis 2 being terrible because the intro screen says "press start."

Anyway, I very much enjoyed the C2 demo. It involves CoD-like gameplay, of course, but it adds much more interesting assets to the formula by allowing you to use neat nanosuit tactics. Whether you like CoD-paced shooters (not whether CoD itself is good) is a matter of preference.

  • @leewolfgang

Crysis Wars: Lets use tanks, helicopters, and maps are huge! It's like the single player... but there's real people to kill. Graphics actually look better than Crysis 2. :\

Crysis 2: Killstreaks, Perks, No recoil on guns, Only 2 nanosuit modes, no on the fly customizing your gun. Tiny maps. No vehicles. Graphics (especially water) look worse than Crysis Wars :\
