I have to say, it's the little things like this-all the little bitty backstories and events that Fallout presents in perfect harmony with its gameplay and massive exploration-that makes the Fallout series so great. That's why I think everyone's full of bull whenever they say that the 2D Fallout games are better than the 3D ones or vice versa. Both have the backstories, and both have the massive exploration.

I kept Charon alive for ages till the douchebag stepped on a load of mines and died, I use Fawkes and Dogmeat kept them both alive for 17 lives so far

Charon died on me like 30 minutes after I got him. I regret taking him over Fawkes because I thought Charon would be better. But sadly Fawkes died so I'm using the Paladin follower(which I gave Enclave armor for the lulz).
