little fore-shadowing here. morrissey would soon after surround himself with 50's inspired young boys and dump johnny. at the cost of his artistic integrity.
Yeah its Gannon from Aztec Camera who was in the Smiths from Feb-Nov 1986 as Mike Joyce was having drug problems and was increasingly incapable of rehearsing.
The other guy is Craig Gannon. He was hired as a replacement for Andy Rourke, but took over as rhythm guitarist when Rourke was reinstated. Gannon played on Ask, Panic, the live album Rank and was part of the 86' tour.
@Commiteee Marr is on the right side, morrissey's the singer, mike joyce plays drums and andy rouke plays bass and is on the left side.. i don't know who's the other one with the guitar
My God, what I'd do to turn back the clock and listen to The Smiths earlier than I did. Bloody Pet Shop Boys and Rick Astley were standard fare back in the day at 13!!

Don't ever want the 7 ages of Rock and Roll made by Rolling Stone Rag and Dennis Hopper does the narration. Terrible stuff. Smiths do get some nice praise though. But most of it is just bad journalism and entertainment. One of the 7 ages in Art Rock (OK not into it) and Pink Floyd gets so much more time that the Smiths, The Replacements, Neil Young, the Bealtes, Buffalo Springfield, Elvis C etc. - bands that matter so much more...combined.!!!!
Johnny Marr was the absolutely epitome of cool during those days, Although, i absolutely adore Morrissey, he does come across as a paedophile supply teacher in this video.

@struckanerve88 Thought I'd help you out here-The Rickenbacker guy is an English musician called Craig Gannon. He often played with the Smiths as 2nd guitarist on live performances from 1985 onwards. He also played with the Scottish band Aztec Camera in the early 80's. He now writes tv and film music.
@MawisaAnimation HI FROM FRANCE SORRY FOR MY POOR ENGLISH WELL I THINK THATS CRAIG WHO PLAY HERE ON GUITAR THE CREATOR OF THE RIFF OF BIGMOUTH BUT THERE'S NOCHANGE JOHNNY STILL ONE OF THE BEST EVER GUITAR'S PLAYER THE SMITHS FOR EVER :)
@MIKEDURSTEWITZ Neither by me. But the fact that Marr recieves nill recognition amongst the tribal mainstream for his contributions is seriously depressing and is, perhaps, a sign of the times. Britpop stole his accolade.
