I've been focused on the new world order, atheism/satanism/Christianity and am looking to sci fi to stimulate my imagination in order to forge a response to what seems like eternal bad news of an empending world war. One thing's for sure there's no justice when so many bad Science Fiction Authors are still here and Octavia E. Butler is gone - where's the justice? Every interview with her seems to have been a Gem: I firmly believe if she had more of an outgoing personality she'd be up there with Stephen King, maybe carrying Science Fiction the way he carries Horror.

Octavia E. Butler was a gift and although I agree with Idrach's comment that Octavia deserves much more recognition but I really enjoy thinking of her as a treasure that a priveleged few get to possess.
