  • try bluffing like that on any poker site... they'll call you with A high. I hate poker...

  • when bluff turns good

  • You must have missed your flush huh? lol I love Sammy

  • @SH03B0MB3R Stones

  • I still think Sammy asked for this bluff. Flopping top pair and checking was a bad move.

  • @LisaJJMerry The game was played differently in 2003. Nowadays no one would check top pair! No one. Never. By the way... Watch the tells Moneymaker is giving... The nervous touch of the nose at 1:15 is a real tell of having no made hand... Did Farha just miss it?

  • @bigtasty780915 The deal at the time was that Moneymaker was there having earned his way in from online, and hadn't been around for long enough for anyone to get a good read on him, and to top it off he was consistently lucking out in the tourney. He would go in with nothing coming up to the last card and draw out on it. He was more lucky than good.

  • "What a play for Chris Moneymaker". If the situation would be reversed a little bit and Farha called, the commentator, the title of this video, and the whole crowd would be like: "What a horrific play for Chris Moneymaker"

  • I don't care what anyone here says, Chris Moneymakers play here was not good. Moneymaker is an amateur who got lucky. He always has been and always will be. Yes he has balls, but his play here stank of a bluff. I will agree with what DGol03 says, Farha knew it was more likely than not a bluff but he didn't want to risk all of his chips knowing hes the favorite with less chips. His all-in straight after the big 'fold-this-hand' raise just stank of a bluff. Bad play imo. Always will be. LUCKY.

  • @quiksilveruk18

I don't care what an idiot like you says.

Chris Moneymakes is a world champion of poker, and all you people say he was just lucky.

You only see some of the hands on tv.

Imagine Chris would have had trips all you donkeys would pay him off big time, and lost the tournament.

Farha acted weak and moneymaker acted on it, he used his position and chip stack correctly.

Next time before you comment something don't comment like an idiot.

  • @DrSBrouwer You don't have a clue, just know who your favorite players are. Become a professional gambler or at least profitable and then I'll respect your opinion. Just like most of the commentators, no clue about value betting or positive EV poker.

  • @quiksilveruk18 poker is profitable because of people like you, the know it alls, who cannot play

  • @DrSBrouwer poker is for Christians, there are no poker gods

  • @DrSBrouwer You couldn't have "trips" on that board, you mean a set.

  • Comment removed

  • @quiksilveruk18 it was a fairly good bluff, lets see you make it.

  • wtf kind of poker is this

  • @FacebookPokerChipss Coming from a guy called "FacebookPokerChipss"? LOL, gtfo.

  • This must hurt so bad when Farhas watches this

  • He obv watches durrrr to much

  • Not really that great of a play if you ask me. It was screaming bluff, but you can't blame Farha for folding. Typically if you think you're the by far the best player in a heads up situation, you don't wanna call off massive amounts of chips unless you're positive you have the best hand. I'm sure Farha was leaning towards bluff, but he thought he would still be a favorite to win with far less chips.

  • idiot player

  • i think moneymaker always got an unfair rap. he may not be the greatest player in history, but he is a good, solid pro. he'd definitely take my money, and probably yours too.

  • @openhead I see where your coming from about the unfair rap but he stands no chance anymore against the aggressive young internet players. He would stand no chance against any pro or anyone who isn't a donk

  • @openhead

ya he has skills. he's not phil ivey, but there are only two or three other pros I'd put in ivey's league

  • @openhead no fkin way

  • lol he is the weaker player

  • Moneymaker is a fat slob

  • 1:00 -> classic tell; Sam figured! (instant call)

1:13 when sam instant calls.. (another classic tell) donno if sammy noticed it

what the heck! I saw their hole card! ;)

  • this is tough to call

  • that bluff would back fire soon

  • @TheTEAMBUTLER especially since he won? come on man

  • Chris Moneymaker is at thesame level as Antonius, Dwan, ivey, Negreanu

  • @TheH0lyGrail dont be soft

  • BOOM

  • Farha is one of my fave players but I think vanity made him lose WSOP 2003. Didn't he wear shades for the whole tournament then all of a sudden he takes them off in the finals? *That* was the crucial mistake, not this uncalled bluff.

  • @tranquility922 this is the dumbest thing i ever read

  • @kingofthenoobs Hey, it's a possibility.

  • You can get a 50$ starting bankroll on different software if you anwser a basic poker quiz on this site. Just though i'd share with you guys.

    pokerstrategy(dot)com/uKO9S9

  • I love how Farha never hesitates when calling a huge raise.

  • best bluff? oh ya that was before dwan's appearance

  • After the river Sammy should've went all in.. His check made him look really vulnerable and Chris took advantage..

  • SHOW HAND SHOW HAND SHOW HAND!! XDDDDDD

  • Non_USA_players_sign_up_at-Full_Tilt_Poker_with_referral_code:FTUS600_and_you_will_get_a_600$_signing_bonus

  • Did moneymaker string bet it there? he didn't announce the raise until he started stacking up his chips.

  • @YouCanCallMeAl1022 No, he did say raise first. The tournament announcer said it incorrectly, and Chris immediately corrected him. Chris counts out the amount to call and the amount to raise separately, but he doesn't do that until after he's already said raise.

  • Omg my big pockets are getting cracked way too offen on this dame site.

  • this is nowhere near what an advanced player would even call a "good" bluff. it was the right play, but absolutely nothing mindblowing took place on this hand.

  • would be a world class bluff if farha actually had a hand

  • @anthonypowell99 wow u got coolered that never happens in poker or anything because quads with every time eh fuck face

  • Thats quite a standard play really.

  • @UCanLearnPokerdotCom

Maybe it's standard in your home games playing for peanuts.

  • his name is really moneymaker?

  • When_creating-a_new_account_at_Full_Tilt_Poker_use_the_Referral_Code:FTUS600_for_a_600$_sign_up_bonus

  • What could moneymaker have that would scare Farha...pocket 3's..Strait?

  • @Caksman1027 well, just about anything, really. I think it was more about the fact that an all-in loss would have knocked him out of the tournament. If Farha had just one more nine i'm sure he'd have been bolder.

  • Pokerfrik website is giving some free bankroll money for beginners, this sounds pretty cool, will try it out.

  • Webcam poker is the shit. I play on pokerview. No BOTS No Cheats from those freakin sites man.

  • @javiert7476

  • i remember watching this shit and jizzing my pants soo hard.

  • @luchador1764 were you furiously masturbating after you saw that bluff?

  • Most of the coinflips go against you, and no matter what lines you chose, they end up costing you your full stack. Anyway i got my bankroll for free from Pokerfrik website so if i lose i don't really care heheh

  • check this out poker free-roll passwords news and more chipchatpoker.webs.com/apps/forums/

  • Sorry but these "poker" players cant be taken seriously with the sunglasses and earphones.... The entire ART and SKILL of poker is not just playing the cards but also to watch and hear what is going on around you AND to play the opponent. If the opponent is sitting in a self-made sensory deprivation chamber - what's the sense of playing?

  • @getyoid I'll give you the headphones observation, but sunglasses can be a form of protecting a tell or even the bright lights. Amateurs dont know where to look and could have nervous eyes. The pro in the video has worn sunglasses himself before.

  • This challenge will obviously be a lot different from the one against Patrik Antonius. Antonius started his carrer with taking free 50 $ starting capital from Pokerfrik websie :)

  • Cole South ended the weekend on a positive note when he took off with $171K of his opponents money yesterday. Cole also started his carrier with free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik site

  • Can you imagine any of the aggro-donk droolers in today's poker world being able to let go of top pair? With a pair and a queen high flush draw I don't see how the money doesn't go all in on the turn if this was played in more recent than 2006.

  • Sammy Farha is the best..... smoking a cig heads up lol

  • Its so obvious he's bluffing when you watch it now...the way he aggressively pushes the raise in on the turn and says "NO I RAISE!" when the dealer doesn't hear him....a player with a strong hand there is not going to act so excited like that at all...I'm surprised Farha did not catch that

  • @zaluko4071

Ahah, I can spare 10$ my full tilt name is jallum0227 =]

    And yeah

I learned on Full Tilts official blog last sunday you can currently make a new account on the Full Tilt web page with the code AMERICAS if ya do not currently have one with em.Great way to acquire fast easy money to play around with. They will DOUBLE your first deposit plus a couple other excellent perks. Sucks but it's only gonna work for the first 4000 players that sign up with this

  • Farha realized the bluff at the end, but what a class for him..

  • it's actually a good fold by Farha

  • SAMMY FARHA STILL RULES!!!!

  • I never understood Sammy here. Unless Sammy thought he was beat on the turn, and just was chasing the flush, hoping to hit a spade, I don't understand why he folds here.

That 3 could not have improved Moneymaker's hand, so i've still never understood the fold by Sammy

  • @GialloHorror maybe moneymaker had 4,5, the 3 giving him a straight

  • @1234323256 Looking at this hand again, Chris wanted Sammy to believe he hit the flush on the turn and that's why he raised, and I'm sold that Sammy believed Chris hit a small flush on the turn, and he tried to hit his own Q high flush on the river, and when he missed it, he folded

  • I'm about seven years late to the party at playing Poker. I wish I had watched the 2003 World Series of Poker more closely. I would've known that Texas Hold 'Em was not a game of 100% luck. I'd have started playing 7 years ago had I only watched the WSOP instead of only catching 2 or 3 minutes of it on ESPN2 every once in a while.

Oh well. Just means I have to train five times as hard. If I ever get on TV, you'll recognize me as the guy that will talk like Pegasus from Yu-Gi-Oh. Watch out world

  • If anybody is looking for the answers on pokerstrategy quiz check out PokerFrik website, they got all the answers!

  • thank you moneymaker............ because of you i now play the greatest game on earth....!!!!!!!

  • Full Tilt Poker is by far the best site and i've played on many. So much easier to actually win big money on there coz of all the newbies! Use Code: GRAB600 to get $600 free to start u on ur way to riches :D

  • thank you sam farha for not making this call.

  • he had 20 outs id hardly consider it the "best bluff"

farha had top pair and a marginal kicker..

both these guys get crushed my todays sharpies..

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @bettydaw1970 I don't see those 20 outs ... I count up to 17 ... Any King (3), any spade (8 - Farha has the Qs), any 5 non-spade (3), any T non-spade (3) ... what am I missing?

  • sammy should have bet on the flop and go allin on the reraise by moneymaker.

  • @DiOrco okay freeroll master

  • Go use that Referral Code: FTUS600 for Full Tilt Poker when you make a new account. It really does get you a 600$ sign up bonus

  • I got 600$ from Full Tilt Poker when I used Referral Code: FTUS600 at account sign up

  • Get 600$ when you use Full Tilt Referral Code: FTUS600

  • I got 600$ from Full Tilt Poker when I used Referral Code: FTUS600 at account sign up

  • сучарище

  • I would have called. Sure it was a pair of nines, but it was top pair!

  • @TOBranch then u have no idea of poker

  • Huge tell at 1:35, lips perk up and then instantly tighten up..sign of a bluff

  • Ahh yes, I remember watching this when it first aired. Good times........ =^)

  • Look at Farha's face at 3:03 he knows he got bluffed. But to someone of Farha's standard, thats just extra information for next time.

  • if some bigstack would lay down a royal flush against a min raise from shortstack with 7 high ... THAT would be the bluff of the century ! Thumbs down if YOU agree !

  • That kinda bluffing is kinda obvious. I mean I'm going to say that but when you push all in like a second after the river, it just screams Napoleon complex.

  • @aznbutteredtoast or maybe he got a good hand but is trying to tell he got a shitty one

  • can someone please explain the rules of this game? i don't get it.

  • @buka7039

Sounds like a plan, Hey you wanna have a 1 on 1 match my full tilt name = zapka3716 =)

    And yeah

I seen various pros sharing all over their facebook wall currently you should make a account using the code SPECIALS on the Full Tilt web site.

I think it's the preferred way for a beginner to start off.. Your 1st deposit get DOUBLED oh and a couple other important perks. It's limited to the first couple thousand people that register with this

  • I think it's actually a good thing for Sam Farha in the long run that he lost this tournament. If he had won he'd be playing hold'em a lot more, when he's clearly a much better Omaha player.

  • Chris Moneymaker is one of the best players in the world

  • @074Jesse LOL you must be living under a rock if you think he is one of the best in the world. I'd say he's in the top 100,000 in the world though.

  • rofl sammys look at 3.03 is basically.. he kows hes been bluffed and hes thinking 'you little fucker'

  • Astalavista Baby, All-In

  • We’ll never know, but on this hand it might have been more effective. Anyway the best ay to start poker is to take free 50 $ from Pokerfrik website and then learn with those 50 bucks without risk.

  • Ivey and negranu would have called... dwan would have taken it on the flop!

Problem was, Fahra didnt know where he was. he should have bet on the flop just to see.

  • @steevyp If Farha had made that call, there would probably be no Dwan, to talk about today.

  • @steevyp You´re even worse than Negreanu and Lederer together.

  • @mvogt of course i am... what a silly thing to say!!

  • @steevyp not if you knew how bad they are

  • @mvogt hahahahaha!!

  • lol after he folded it was so obvious he bluffed by moneymakers reaction

  • @ElectronicStuff4Free yea true dat, he shouldnt make that muth gesture

  • @ElectronicStuff4Free mind you i would probably have had a sigh of relief too lol...but doesnt matter that he sighs after the hand..farha already folded lol

  • @ElectronicStuff4Free And you can tell from Fahra's wry smile that he knows he's been bluffed.

  • такой жирный блеф))

  • Durrrr was trying to do something that is very difficult, floating out of position on the flop. Anyway if you guys didn't know, durrrr started with free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik website.

  • amazing.......

  • It will be interesting to see how the rest of the year will now go for Antonius. Btwn antonius only staretd with free 50 dollars he got on pokerfrik website :)

  • That face touching at 1:15 is definitely a tell.

  • @Stratoart i think sammy didnt saw it, otherwise he had called that bet. But you never know it, i mean its the mainevent finaltable headset!

  • @Stratoart u must be a pro....

    fking youtube poser

  • Even in this case Antonius had over 22% equity, but the king on the river was of no use to him so theAshman103 took down the largest pot of the day. Btwn Antonius started poker with free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik website.

  • pls check out my poker videos on my channel...thanks =]]

  • When he said "No I raise" on the turn, he looked so sure of himself. That's possibly what made the difference.

    Possibly...

Indeed, one of the best bluff I've ever seen.

  • I know for a fact that chris ferguson or howard lederer would have aclled that.

  • thats a terrible bluff... most people would call that with top pair. who in the hell moves all in with a flush or a str8 after their opponent has checked? theres no need to move all in unless he was trying to steal. chris's intentions where obvious from the moment he re-raised sam's 300k raise... chris was trying to look strong and then when the river came and sammy checked, chris moves all in but then hes completely still, no movement, barely breathing... sign of a bluffer!!

  • moneymaker is a fat bitch... bluff isn't going to take you anywhere

  • @52727030 really? IT TOOK HIM TO FIRST PLACE OF THE WSOP! stop hating

  • @52727030 Apart from to a WSOP bracelet.

  • whats so fucking best bluff... sammy has only a freaking pair... there are like 1000 hands that can beat him.. he did the right thing... fuck moneyfucker

  • Just incredible! Takes some guts and balls to go with them...

  • In my opinion, if Sammy called there he'd only 'usually' be right about 5% of the time...

Even though its the wrong fold, its the right fold in the long run and Sammy knew it.

It took a sick cooler in the final hand to beat sammy

  • Comment removed

  • Can anyone imagine how different the poker world would have been had Sammy made the call = No poker boom.

  • @AMember2 There you have something to discuss. I dont think so, movies like rounders, the economy (and the difficulty to reach a mediocre standard of living in todays society), and the increasingly popularity of the game (without the first amateur to win the WSOP by qualifying at an online pokersite) made it possible for poker to become such a phenomenon.

  • @VideoSoldaat The game at the time was getting popular but the all the craze came about when moneymaker won, not from the popularity of both of the movies you have mentioned as it is aimed toward a cult audience and not the mainstream audience , everyone who hasn't even heard of the game became very optimistic about poker and try to accomplish Chris Money Makers success and thats how poker exploded. The WSOP 2003 only had 839 entrants the WSOP 2004 had 2.6K entrants, the field increased by 3x.
