They werent expecting only 1 clone. In fact Solid and liquid arent identical twins. Solid has Big boss recesive genes while liquid has his dominant genes. Liquid always thought he had the recessive wich he thought were inferior. Thats one of the reasons he hated snake so much. The only exact copy of Big Boss is Solidus. During the fertilization process there were 6 or 8 eggs (not sure here). The weaker were aborted or at least thats what they say on MGS1.

@marioballs All the "songs" Sunny sings during the game are various scientific and mathematical sequences with two exceptions. The one she sang before the Middle East chapter consisted of digits of Pi. The one she sang before the South America chapter was the Fibonacci sequence. The one during the Eastern Europe Chapter was comprised of elements from the periodic table. Last but not least, for Shadow Moses, she just sang random stations along the Japanese Nose railway.
Not sure if this has been said, but the eggs were actually also a part of Sunny's "fortune-telling". How the eggs turned out was also a sign of how well things would turn out in the mission. It sounds strange but look it up, kind of a neat inclusion. They werent expecting only 1 clone. In fact Solid and liquid arent identical twins. Solid has Big boss recesive genes while liquid has his dominant genes. Liquid always thought he had the recessive wich he thought were inferior. Thats one of the reasons he hated snake so much. The only exact copy of Big Boss is Solidus. During the fertilization process there were 6 or 8 eggs (not sure here). The weaker were aborted or at least thats what they say on MGS1.

@marioballs All the "songs" Sunny sings during the game are various scientific and mathematical sequences with two exceptions. The one she sang before the Middle East chapter consisted of digits of Pi. The one she sang before the South America chapter was the Fibonacci sequence. The one during the Eastern Europe Chapter was comprised of elements from the periodic table. Last but not least, for Shadow Moses, she just sang random stations along the Japanese Nose railway.

Not sure if this has been said, but the eggs were actually also a part of Sunny's "fortune-telling". How the eggs turned out was also a sign of how well things would turn out in the mission. It sounds strange but look it up, kind of a neat inclusion. Also in the songs she sings, in one she sings the digits of pi, in two she sings the Fibonacci sequence, 3 she sings elements of chemicals, and 4 she sings something in Japanese (I think various Train Stations in Japan).

i see what your saying, hideo always has a way of telling storys but naomi is younf, rememer mgs1 take place in 05 and mgs4 take place in the near distant furure ( 2016 or 14 i belive) so she is about otacons age, about her late 30s and it was paramedic who conducted the project, eve, who carried the twins, and apparetly big boss didnt like the idea to much. mgs history is very complex isnt it?

Actually it was Doctor Madnar who helped who helped with the process of the cloning , which later turned out to be that para medic girl from MGS 3, she later died from Gray fox, because she was also in charge of the revitalization project further discussed in Peacewalker

what are you trying to say when you ask how old we think naomi is? naomi did not participate in the les enfants terrible project! she wasn't born yet. she was about 12 years younger than frank yaeger. It was Dr Clark, a.k.a. Para-Medic, the mentor of that project. Para-medic is that woman working with major zero, in the snake eater op.

I'm sure you know this but everyone commenting may not. The eggs are referencing the past much as naomi is. Naomi represented Dr.Clark who was both involved in Les infants teribles as well as the super soldier program (gray fox). This would explain why Naomi was able to help both raiden as well as sunny.

For one thing, Naomi did not help with cloning the Snakes. Paramedic did the surgery. Therefore, she doesn't need to be that old.
