Nah, I actually don't have a band currently. As for the mic, it was one of those cheap 50 dollar ones at Guitar Center :P I record my vocals with an AKG Perception 220 nowadays.

I watched the NRK black metal documentary enough to pick up their accents and then it was just constantly reading and comparing the written words to what I heard. Now, I have an audio CD collection on the Norwegian language, and that helps. :P

Hey man these covers you do both vocally and on your guitar are truly excellent your a really black metal pro man! i play in a band and we do a few Dimmu cover's but im having trouble getting a similar vocal tone to Shagrath any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Well, unlike normal growls which come purely from the diaphragm, I shape the tone with my throat while still keeping the air flowing safely along the vocal cords. So it's kind of a mixture of diaphragm for power and throat for tone. Hope that helps! :)
