Overclocking My AMD X2 4000+

my goes up to 2.85ghz and then frezez how can I reach 3ghz?

i have a AMD X2 4000+ and i oced it to 2.85ghz stock cooling and heatsink. i do have thermal ice tho. and if i volte moded i could oc to 3.0+ghz easy

I got a amd x2 4000+ , stock 2.1,OC to 2.7 Ghz on asrock ALIVENF7G-HD720P

i got a amd x2 4000+, stock 2.1, OC to 2.6350 on asus m2n sli deluxe, max fsb (250) and multi(10.5) on 1.3 volts (max "listed" is 1.35, some peeps run 1.5 in em), someone said can get 3.4 out of it with a better board

thats a pretty shitty overclock dude, and you didn't even use bios, you just used software...

I ditched the 4000+ for a Intel E2180 so i can actually overclock well.

Yeah, my old 4000+ would go as high as I want it BUT my mobo only allows up to 3GHz :P
