I actually ended up getting a epiphone les paul. Sounds 1000000x better than the guitar i had in this video and 10x better than one in my "newer" videos haha!

Epiphones are deffinately an upgrade, if you like the style of the les paul and how it feels, go for what i have next, Gibson usa les paul studio cheapest of the gibson models, but still sounds probably a million times better than any epiphone, its good to slowly upgrade though. =]

Rock on, man! With a bit more practice you could probably play the killer riff from RB and nobody could tell the difference. Also, the file has expired already, at least that's what it says even after I copied and added the last digit. Shame, this is a sweet song made even sweeter through the Rock Band version.

The notes in the riff are usually muted when I play for fun, and to me muted notes that are alternate picked don't sound as strong. I didn't mute the notes in this video because I wanted my guitar to be louder than the song.

You can't. You must use a hand to strum. But some people say that they "tap" on the triplets (yellow, blue, orange, yellow, blue orange).
