  • My ferret had to be put to sleep last Friday because she had really painful tumors on her liver after having insulinoma for months and the pain medicine wasn't making the pain go away. She was named Eva. This has always been one of my favorite ferret videos and it's nice to think of them all playing on the other side.

  • So, you live in seattle? That's awesome, I'm in Des Moines just outside Kent. We have 2 ferrets ourselves aptly named Ms. Trouble and Mr. Havoc and their nicknames are monster and demon.

  • i like seeing the ferrets just playing.. then a huge lab just trotting threw lol

  • What happened to your ferrets? Have you gotten a more?

  • @Narutosims123 Ferrets only live 6-8 years. There's lots of cancers they're prone to as they age - Insulinoma, Cardiomyopathy, Adrenal Disease, Lymphoma. This video was done three years ago with videos from the several years before then.

  • @Narutosims123 And yes - I have five now - all adopted after I moved up to the northwest as I lost these ferrets. Sadly, my two eldest - Roxy and Sassy - are both in treatment for cancer. One has Insulinoma and the other Adrenal Disease. Both are around six years old.

  • @Ferretocious I had a ferret who had Insulinoma, too. And a congenital heart disease. :( Then he stopped eating and his rear legs were paralyzed...So we had to put him down. It was so sad...He was around six, too. The other two ferrets miss him so much. :(

  • @Ferretocious

So sorry for your ferrets, just last year i lost one of mine for cancer too. he was the most lovely ferret ever... wont ever forget him

  • Love the song.

  • @DJhollywoodgurl It's the "Macchinations" - rather obscure 80's new wave band.

  • Love the song.

  • @chris94677 O_O i'm surprised you have no reptiles

  • What a fun zoo you have.

    Cute video!

  • Cuuuutee ferrets!

  • i love my ferret.

  • wish my ferret was lazy she is wild!!

  • Are ferrets really hostile as I hear? cause I want one and everyone in my family is like, " If you get one im never coming to your house again in fear of bieng attacked"

  • @corpsecorn Nah, not at all! The only ones that will bite are those that have ben abused. And even they can be retrained not to.

  • What a super silly house you must have! Great video...

  • awesome vid X3 how many in all? o.o

  • The video name should clue you into that answer!

Sadly all these ferrets are now gone - this was made up of videos over several years and I made this a few years ago.

  • 0:38 was duncan right?

  • Yes - when he was only a little bitty kit! I miss Dunk - he was such a sweetie.

  • 0:19 looks exactly like one of my ferrets exactly like one of mine, but i got him at a shelter

  • That was Duncan. Sable is the most common colour of ferrets.

  • Yes - but sadly, all the ferrets that appear in this video are gone. This video's from a few years ago and they've all died of lymphoma, adrenal disease or insulinoma.

  • oh really? thats so sad . when did u get your first ferret?

  • About 12 years ago. Ferrets "can" live 8-10 years but most end up with various cancers or other diseases around 5-6 years.

  • oh thats sad. i love ferrets and i was so sad becasue my friend chris is getting one and a dog and thats what i want but im not mad at him i am mad at my parents kinds haha

  • So sorry for your loss. I had 3....but 2 have gone to the Rainbow bridge...One from adrenal disease and the other from an unkown cancer in his tummy....I miss that one the most....he was my little white boy...I just have Taz now....a 5 yr old sable boy....Thankfully he's fine....(crossing fingers)...

  • o hey i wacth all ur ferret fids n i wanna a ferret two but i beg my mom dad so give me some tips

  • lol those R some crazy ferrets u have there :P very...

  • i'm gonna try putting the tube down the stairs for my Mickey and Nanook. ;)

  • They LOVE that! We don't have stairs inside in this house. Someday I'd like to finish my unfinished basement and put some tubes along the walls down there for them.

  • Oh and it's not always easy to keep those tubes in place. What I did was put it behind a full rack of Xbox games and pressed it against the wall. You can see how it's set up in that one video with Ringo at :50

  • Hahahaha! Exceleent vid! I must have watched 0:16 about ten times!!!!!

  • Jake is the "nanny" when it comes to the ferrets. At the time Johnny was a baby and the others were picking on him. That's why he ran up and nudged Oliver out of the way - Johnny was the one in the tube he was about to attack.

  • haha! Show this to Arny. Now do these look like threats to civilization??

  • Well if they think communist countries are good at hiding Weapons of Mass Destruction then they'd REALLY have issues with ferrets.

  • Lol, this is cute and funny! Love this vidio!

  • that has got to be a handfull

  • But like I said, crappy food, not keeping litter box clean, & beddign clean makes a huge difference. I would not descent my private breds unless medically necessary.

  • I know they "poof" when not descented, & yes it stinks, half of mine are private bred, not descented. What I meant is, some people think that when a ferret is descented, it takes away the musky odor. It only prevents them from poofing. I never said they can still poof when descented.

When I said there is no differnce in smell, I mean you can pick up a decented one of mine, & a non descented one & neither one smells worse.

Maybe I didn't word it right, you misunderstood what I was saying.

  • they love the tunnel don't they?

  • That was great. Gotta love those little guys. I have six of my own: Tank, Roxy, Keeley, Nina, Simone and Baxter. Check out my weasel Slideshow!

  • Lol its added on my birthday.

  • I learned that descenting doesn't make a difference on their smell. They "poof" when very startled or highly aggitated. It's not like a skunk, it disappears. I have two private breds, & one for sure is NOT descented, & there's no differnce in her smell. Diet plays a key roll too. Crappy food like Marshall's makes them stink.

The key, as she said is in the owner. Good food, clean the litter boxes, change the bedding (fleece blankets are awesome), & the don't stink.

    *P.S. I love your videos!

  • Sorry, but you're wrong. There's a HUGE difference between a descented ferret and one that hasn't been. When they descent the ferret they remove the musk glands so they CAN'T poof. And if you say they can well why in ten years of ferret ownership have I never smelled it nor have any of the 100's of ferret owners on my forum smelled it? What makes a ferret smell is a lazy owner who doesn't clean their litter boxes and/or never washes their bedding.

  • OMG what little freaks!! They are great. I have 5 now, myself, you can see then at my channel. Nice they all get along and with the dog and cat too. Great video!

  • I've heard that ferrets can smell... is that true?

  • Any animal will smell if owners don't care for them properly or if they aren't descented. A lot of people make the mistake of putting small bedding in their cage like you'd do for a hamster or gerbil. Or they don't scoop their litter boxes daily and dump them out completely at LEAST once a week. I have seven and I've been told by anyone's that come here that they're "surprised" the ferrets don't smell. It's all about the owner - not the animal.

  • your ferrets are very large how did u get them so plump?

  • That's only because in these videos they were quite young. Most ferrets get pretty chubbed up their first year then slim down. Look at my more recent videos and you'll see. Duncan, though, the dark sable down the stairs at the beginning was also a big, chubby ferret.

  • hypppeeeeeeerrr *shakes from sugar shock*

i never cease to be amazed by animals' will power

    especially that of ferrets

they are master escape artists! X3

  • sweet ferret are cool, where do you get the clear tubes

  • That's one of the "Super Thru-ways" you can find them at Drs. Foster-Smith online for $17.99. They do make clear dryer tubes but they're not as long as this nor do they stay extended as well as these do.

  • I got a super thru-way after I saw your video and Eva loves it!

  • Awesome! I've yet to find a ferret that didn't! If you stairs definitely drape it down the stairway. I did that in my old place and they LOVED it! Don't have stairs inside the new house, though.

  • Let me guess, Ur an animal lover? Me 2! I got 2 hamsters whose names are Benji and Gyro! Very cool video!

  • Cute names! Hamsters are adorable but I'm afraid my weasels would try to eat them!

  • so damn cute

  • What do you feed your guys?? I can't seem to get mine to put the weight on.

  • What are you feeding them? Mine eat Totally Ferret and sometimes Innova Evo though a couple of them won't touch it at all. Ferrets need a really high protein meat-based diet.

  • I feed them a mixture of Totally Ferret and Iams Kitten. and I also give them Duck Soup 2 times a week. I love your video Flying Ferrets. Tried that with mine they didn't like it too much. so we just go for rides on the sheets!!

  • I'd back off on the Iams and give them more TF. 2 of the 5 first ingredients in the Iams are corn. Is just one thin or all of them? Mine tend to sleep more and eat less in the winter so sometimes they slim down a bit.

  • Oh and come join my forum. Link's on my profile or just google "Ferretocious Forum"

  • My girls have alway been thin, but the boys started sliming down back during the summer, doc says they are healthy. Will start with more of the TF!

  • this is awsome! i'm a big fan of your ferret

    videos.

  • Thanks :) I'm going to make another compilation soon. These vids are all pretty old!

  • way to cool LMAO must be fun at your house

  • It can be but it can be very hard as well. I lost three of these guys last year - Duncan the chubby dark sable going down the stairs and Oliver and Andy - the two lightest ones you see in the video.

  • no way i am so sorry to hear that u poor thing

bless their little itty, bitty, souls.

    again very sorry :(

  • Two had insulinoma and were on meds for about a year. Duncan died suddenly with lymphoma - he hadn't shown any signs of anything wrong :(

  • how many ferrets are there? it looks like u have 6!!

  • This was shot over a several year period. And featured in this video are the names shown at the beginning - Freddy, Andy, Oliver, Ringo, Duncan and Johnny Rotten.

  • i thought dogs didnt like ferrets?

  • Jake was brought up with them so he's learned to be VERY gentle with them. When you see him shove one aside with his nose its because he always feels the need to protect the younger ones!

  • arrh so cute how many pets u got how many ferrets?

i love how the dog is waitin for the ferret pop out of the tube lol my dog and ferret get on now didnt at the start its so funny watchin them play lol the hole house gets turned upside down tho lol

  • This is a compilation of videos made over several years. Sadly, all but Ringo (the one down the tube on his back) and Johnny Rotten (white paws on the bed attacking my hand) are the only two left of the ones shown here.

  • Jake is VERY protective when a young ferret comes into the house. He shoo'd away Oliver because he was trying to get to young Johnny in the tube.

  • arhh thats so cute its nice to see them play and get on 2gether.its like his the big daddy of the group hehe.ppl are like 2 me, omg ur dog, doesnt he try to eat him im like huh no there best friends lol.sorry 2 hear ur other ones past way. ur other past way :(

  • You should have seen him when I have a baby kit in the house! I've always keep baby ferrets out-of-cage time limited to my bed so they don't get stepped on. If a baby falls off the edge of the bed Jake would gently pick them up and put them back on the bed. When Ringo did it a few times Jake finally put Ringo in my lap like "This one's out of control - I think you should put him back in the cage!" lol

  • arhh thats so cute lol.how many years have u kept ferrets?this one is my first one but neva look back.jack seems a top dog.

cheak out my videos if u have time.:)

best wishes to u and all ur animals xx

  • I've had them for about ten years now. Did you see the link to my ferret forum on my profile? Come join!!!

  • Get the book "Ferrets for Dummies" before even thinking about getting one. They run around $129-$159 at pet stores but that's the least you'll ever spend on them. Ferrets are prone to lots of diseases and with vets that treat them few and far between vet bills can get VERY expensive. I spent about $3K last year with three sick ferrets. NOT a pet to be bought impulsively or if you don't have a substantial steady income.

  • omg the god dam dog

  • huh? Jake loves them - he was raised with them. In that first clip he pushed the ferret out of the way because it was messing with Johnny Rotten - the youngest.

  • have u or ur dog ever stepped on 1 of ur ferrets?

  • Nope. The ferrets are used to him and he's very careful around them. Jake was a ten week old puppy when I adopted him so he grew up with them. And I tend to just be very careful and watch where my feed go when they're out!

  • That is correct - they are illegal in CA. Search "Ferrets california" and you read the idiotic reasons why. Mine eat Totally Ferret as well as Innova Evo - a cat food that's 50% protein with no grain.

  • That was cool! Thanks for sharing. Happy Holidays!

  • Where did you get your ferrets? I'm considering one or possibly two.. seattle area.

  • Go to washingtonferret dot com (it doesn't let you put URLS here) That's a ferret shelter in the Seattle area.

  • or you could simply go to home depot and get some duct tubing thats the exact same stuff for $2

  • No, it isn't. These tubes are similar to the clear dryer tubes they sell there but they're not that much cheaper. Plus the plastic is thinner and the tubes don't stay extended like these do. I should know - I've had ferrets for about 10 years.

  • Drs. Foster Smith online has the Super Thruway on sale right now for $15.29 :-0! I just ordered one since we haven't had one of them in the house for awhile.

  • That tube is the "Ferret Freeway". There's also an identical one called the "Marshall Super Thruway". You can find them online at ferret supply stores or eBay. They retail for about $24.99 but on eBay I've picked them up as cheap as $14.99. They do sell clear dryer tubes at hardware stores but the plastic isn't as durable and it doesn't stay stretched out very well. I also buy stretchy aluminum tubes at Lowe's.

  • They're litter-box trained. Outside the cage they use the cats' litter boxes and in the cage they use their own.

  • i own a ferret too your so cool lol

  • Well I volunteer with a shelter so I basically have this never ending supply of the little monkeys lol Sadly most of the ferrets in this video (this was videos from over several years) are now gone. Only Ringo (the blaze who zips down the tube on his back) and Johnny Rotten (on the bed with the tube and attacking my hand) remain of this group.

  • your soo coool i own a ferret but i dont manage to look after him as well as you do your a great owner oh yeh how did you mange that many ferrets

  • Unreal... love it.

  • I think all ferrets enjoy the stairs. I put the tubing slanted down my stairs with brackets and they love dooking on the stairs and then one will jump in the tube and slide all the way to the bottom.

  • Sadly we lack stairs in my new house! But once I finish clearing the basement out of a bunch of junk I need to get rid of I'm going to design part of it as a ferret playground - with an enclosed ramp up along the wall to the top of a tube that'll be attached to the wall so they can "luge" down it :)

  • The cat's happy because now in my new house I keep a baby gate up when they're out - so half of the home is "ferret free". The other cat I have now (Percy) completely adores them and plays with them all the time. And the dog loves them as well - he was raised with them so he's the "referee" and steps in whenever anyone gets too rough.

  • That was Duncan as a kit. Sadly, I lost him earlier this year to lymphoma :( In fact, Ringo (the one with the blaze on top of his head) and Johnny Rotten (dark silver with white feet "silver mitt") are the only two of this six still alive.

  • haha ferrets r sooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL they must have the best life, i feel sorry for the cat though.. this video makes me wanna have a bunch of ferrets as pets

  • I used to have a ferret, but then i had to return it because i had allergies. =(

I miss my ferret soo much !

  • Im sorry for all your loses but as they say a soul dies so another can be born. At least they aren't suffering anymore

  • really cute! what program did you use to edit and add music to your vids!! I love ferrets. I really would like to get my ferret a friend but I can't afford it... and congrats to u for being able to handle 6! :)

  • Sadly four of the six in this video are gone. Freddy (the tiny chocolate sable) I lost three years ago to adrenal cancer, Andy and Oliver (the two silver ferrets) died earlier this year from insulinoma and Duncan (the chubby dark sable) had lymphoma and died in May. But I adopted Roxy and Sassy from the shelter three years ago and three more last month - so back up to seven.

I used Windows Movie Maker to make the video.

  • o...my...god.SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE... MUST... HAVE...

  • Mine is very small. :) She's very cute though!

  • I have one itty bitty one, too - Sassy. I didn't have her when this video was made, though. She's a tiny sable and the cutest little thing.

  • I have a ferret named chewy. He's a cinnamon ferret. some cute ferrets you got there dude! luv them. so cute and small. My ferret is smaller then a average ferret. So he's a midget. sorry if that's offencif to some people. but he is too small.

  • There's no such thing as a midget but there are ones that are a lot smaller than most. My Sassy's one of those. I got her after this video was made so she's not here but there's others ones of her on my page.

  • lol when that dog/cat comes out its so funny lol

  • i love ferrets more than anything i used to have 1 but he died at age nine i might get a new one but this time i think i might get a girl all i know is its gona be from a shelter!!! n.n

  • Please let me know were I can find those tubes plastic and transparent i look all over and just find metal aluminum and not transparent I will apreciate too much tank you

  • Go to Ferret Depot online or search "ferret freeway" or "Marshall thruway". They're specially made for the ferrets. They do have clear tubes at some Lowes and Home Depots but they don't stay expanded as these ones do (since those are meant to be used as dryer tubes) I've also found sellers on eBay carry these as well.

  • Lucky for cats ferrets are lousy jumpers - so cats can jump up somewhere high and get away from them!

  • That was Duncan - he was a chubster!!! That first vid he's in at the beginning was when he still had lots of baby fat on him - he couldn't even fit in those tubes!!!

  • that was so cute and very funny! excelent video. i'm sure they're a handfull!!

  • Ferrets are the best pet ever. Easy to take care of they are sooo much fun and they truly all have their own personality like people.

  • Ferrets are great to own. The perfect pet for anyone who is stressed out or depressed. I used to be very stressed until I got my three Ferrets. You just can't be sad, upset, or stressed out once you pick up your little fuzzy. Everything just melts away and a smile appears on your face no matter how hard you try to resist! I love my little babies!! Julie

  • It does!!! The speed and strange lyrics fit them exactly. I used to hear this song on the radio, and always though he was saying "gumby gumby gumby gumby, have your rug today". ;3

  • aaaaaand i'm dumb and should have watched the last 20 seconds of the video

  • i gotta know, what is the name of this song??

  • Great song, isn't it? Always been one of my faves and totally fit the hyperactivity of the ferrets!

  • The cats or the ferrets? All the ferrets are affectionate and friendly. That black cat, though, is a bit of a psycho lol

  • Don't - she can get up and run off if she wants. Advantage kitties have over ferrets is they can jump up and get away from them. She was lazy, though, as was basically going "Will you KNOCK IT OFF!" to the ferret :)

  • FERRETS DON'T NEED TO BE PUT IN FAST FORWARD! They're already hypo enough! LMAO! loved it. they look happy as! nice job!!

  • I don't know how you could of afforded 6! Food is so expensive for them, but my lil bugger is worth every penny!

  • read this further down or watch the video - it gives credit at the end

  • I had a ferret and it was great pet..Never bit me, i don,t know if whay would or why thay would.

  • Haha, I LOVE ferrets, but I don't have any :[ Mom won't let D:

But my cousin has like 4-6 of them, and sometimes I hang out in her place, and play with them :]

    I like your video <3

  • The Machinations - a rather obscure 80's band from Australia

  • I just lost the oldest of my six, my Duo-chan. Now I wish I had more pics (I only have a handful). I'm just not all that enamoured with cameras, but I think now I'll try to at least get more pics of the remaining 5, and maybe some video. ;-( I miss my Duo.

  • Most of the ferrets in these videos clips are now gone. I've lost three this year to cancer :( I'm sorry about your loss - these little guys sure get ua hold of your heart, don't they??

  • Wonderful creaturee. Have two now myself. Have lost three. I don't think I will ever live my life without ferrets in it!

  • they sure do i couldent imagein loseing one of my littel ones but it will happen soner or later :"( (wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!)

  • so jealous of u .....you're pretty lucky to have 6 of them

  • Actually there's only four now. And I just lost Duncan - the adorable chubby dark-faced one - three days ago :(

  • ohhh im so sorry!

  • I am sure nobody would object to you keeping the name Seattle-Six. That name made them famous, if you change it you will confuse America!

  • I love the Seattle-Six. Great name for them just like The Bowery Boys. lol

  • Unfortunately it's now the "Ferretocious Five". Since I made this video I lost Freddy and added Johnny Rotten, Sassy and Roxy - but lost Andy and Oliver - the two silver/white ferrets you see in a lot of the videos. Both had insulinoma (pancreatic tumors) and both died just a few months ago.

  • oops sorry that didn't add up... Did have Johnny when I made this though I'm not sure he's in any of the clips. I need to make a new one to show how crazy the girls are.

  • Hi! love the video of the ferrets playing. Can you answer a question for me. What is the name of the song and who plays that? thanks!! loved the song!

  • That's a very obscure 80's band from Australia called "Machinations" and the song is "Pressure Sway". They did this really cool animated video in the early 80's with this song that I song on a PBS show about animation and I loved this song every since.

  • Oops that I saw not song lol

  • cute! i like when they shoot out of the tubes

  • Do you cut your cats nails or have them removed?

  • I trim them - I would NEVER declaw a cat - it's unnecessary and very cruel - like having the first joint of your fingers removed!

  • what about dogs are they good with dogs?

  • It really depends on the dog. My Newf/Lab mix, was brought up with them - so he sees them as equals and is very gentle. But even so I never leave them alone unsupervised due to the sheer size difference between he and the ferrets. And I highly recommend never leaving them out with any other pet without supervision. I also never leave mine out when I'm not home. They're just too curious and this can get them in trouble. Plus everything I own would be stolen and stuffed under my bed :)

  • Good music for these fuzzy cutie friends, they got a lot of fun, I've a couple and I love them!!

  • adorable video!

  • i love how you have the tube for them to go in and play and also that all of your animals get along.

  • woo i just got my ferret. hes awesome! i named him sparticus xD and my mom is allergic to like everything known to man and not to him!

  • also, do your ferrets even have a cage lol or they just run free most of the time?

  • They're caged when I'm not home and I cage them up after playtime. That way everyone's right where the litter box is and there's a lot less chance of an accident! I also like keeping them caged during the day because it gives me the piece of mind of knowing that they're all safe in there. Ferrets are VERY curious so leaving them out to explore when you're not there to supervise can prove dangerous.

  • do ferrets get along with cats?

  • I have 3 cats and a ferret. They all love each other and play together constantly.

  • Check the other videos for the answer to that! Cats seem to view ferrets as kittens. Since they're equal on the food chain (ferrets aren't rodents like mice, gerbils, rats) then they regard eachother as equal. Ok well allies. Ok well sometimes they get along lol

  • are ferrets really bad for someone who has fur allergies even if they never touch it?

  • illegal to buy not to own, get them in jersey or PA

  • actually illegal in NY is misleading, they are illegal to buy not to own. Buy then in jersey, I've had ferrets for years and I live in the city

  • Jetixhater

nope you can't.there illegal in nyc..

NYC is still stink law..no ferrets allowed..that is stupid NYC law system

  • Brava!

  • i bet they slept for 2 day's after all that

  • The videos were shot over about three years so it wasn't one big play marathon lol
