From the very first time I heard the LP version of the amazing War of the Worlds back in 1978, I always wanted to play the part of Parson Nathaniel. Not sure why, he's not exactly full of hope. Think it''s because it's a good excuse to shout a lot lol.

What you should be worried about is the guy playing lead electric guitar in the latter half of this clip. He is AWFUL! Complete lack of feel, no soul at all. How the hell he got the job I don't know. Really puts a dampener on things.

Definitely will be interesting in 2010 to hear Jason Donovan.Didnt see this years but saw the Dec 2007 show in Nottingham as a result of being blown away by Russell and Tara's performance.That was great,but disappointed the parts were played by John Payne and Sinead Quinn who didnt match the DVD in quality of performance.Russell's performance is all the remarkable given the fact he was suffering the middle stages of his first brain tumour and was affected by severe headaches and vision problems.
