  • ppl kill themselfs in the outside world all the time, mental health is a issue everywhere, just cos we have standards does not mean we do not have trials. unfortanetly some ppl feel bad and guilty that is not how heavenly father wants us to feel, but everyone forgets that about satan. he knows us just as well asheavenly father and he can play on our guilt and shame and as they build up we draw further away from heavenly father, satan can put ideas into ppls head that they cannot return t.....

  • wow this guy hates mormons .......what did they do to you ??

  • @eeikman actually those with pioneer heritage come from other country's like England , wales where I am from etc. all of us are equal to one another in the church there are no pesants we are all real Mormons, most of the pioneers also were British so I think you should read more into it and get your facts right before u saying things, I'm not here to give you a history lesson just to state my belief and opionions I respect what you belief and I hope you respect mine also now I'm not going to ar

  • Eeikman actually you are wrong I live in south jordan Utah for six years of my life and I saw the culture etc so don't say I don't have the right to a Voice on the opionion, just goes to show how arragant you Americans are!

  • @dontmesswithadrew * Utah for six years of my life * A very short time. I lived there most of my life (40 years), I am not being arrogant when I say you know little of the Utah culture, the same way I do not know about the social class system that exists in the UK. It's odd that a person that lives in a country with social class system would tolerate a church with a class system, those of Utah pioneer heritage will never consider you a real Mormon, you will always be a peasant to them.

  • Um u r totally wrong on blaming the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints for a person committing suicide, there are loads of people from each religion that have unstable things going on in they're life that Make them do that and you foolish man I bet there are thousands of people from your so called "religion" that kill them selfs I hope you find your way back to finding the gospel of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints I pray for all of you I am Mormon and proud and I'm only

  • @dontmesswithadrew Since you do not live in Utah, you wouldn't know how a culture that is over 90% LDS actually works. Living in the U.K. makes you an outsider. You do not have the right to voice an opinion on the issue.

  • Look at the whole picture. People are free to do whatever they want and no one takes theyre life because of something like that. Is doing drugs bad? Yes! This shawns argument is against that principal, and with himself. If I claimed that shawns shows made me feel inferior and then commited suicide, would it mean that it was his fault that I was dead? Fight agains evil, not good. Truth is truth and always will be.

  • @YZ450f24 *If I claimed that shawns shows made me feel inferior and then commited suicide, would it mean that it was his fault that I was dead? * You can turn Shawn's program off anytime you wish. The act of suicide is the culmination of years of erosion. At this moment are you free to stop going to your Ward, or do you feel compelled to to so, regardless? If you learned the LDS church was false what would you lose?

  • How dare you speak of this young mans death to turn the hearts of men. Shame on you.

  • Egyptian military science with gnosis has been a question historically since Antioch as a trade route with the Near East. The missions of St. Peter and St. Pual with military study of Titus at Cyprus was to clarify the issues of Judiac gnosis based on traditions with family heritage and alligence. The same questions by Napolean I Emperor of the French from 1804 to 1815, and Adolf Hitler Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945. Translations of the Bible by St. Thomas Aquinas offer more insight.

  • The mormon church has made it's members want things they don't need or exist by linking mass produced LDS doctrine and ideas to peoples unconscious desires. Out of this comes a new political idea of how to control the membership. By satisfying members inner selfish desires, the church has made it's people happy and thus docile. The start of the all consuming self, man-made idols of the self, which has come to dominate the church today. The church of Joseph Smith and his latter day saints.

  • YOU GO SHAWN,

  • My mormon friend has nearly done this because of keeping to church standards, this is true.

  • yes this is true

  • I testify to you when I watched this show and looked and seen the church is not true by reading some the bible and Bom There was so much lies it hurt but after a while you feel free not sinful but grateful and feel more willing to do the works of god .

  • The church has nothing to do with this....all man is free to choose right from wrong as best as it seems to them...if someone get in to a point of commiting suicide...this is lot worse than only because he couldn't bear the fact he hurt some of the church standards, it starts with a type of depression that if not treated it only gets worse and worse and even hard to heal, you must see the gravity of his clinical picture, because no one drinks a beer and in the other day wants to kill themselves.

  • How do you claim it's because of LDS standards? He abused substances and drank beer as well. That messes up a person's judgment. What about all the nonLDS that have done this? What about even the atheists that have done this? You going to blame their deaths on the church too? Pathetic excuse.

  • @majinish

Ever stop to think that perhaps it was the oppressive Mormon church culture that drove him to drink and abuse drugs?

  • Going to the obits and picking on a sad young man?? My goodness, this man will go to any length: shameful

  • I wonder if this guy bought his beer from my bishop, who sold it in his restaurant, and another prominent member was advertising it with Monday night specials (FHE). Does that mean my bishop had to lie to become bishop so he could NOT GIVE A TEMPLE RECOMMEND or BAPTIZE a person who drank the beer HE SOLD???

  • I have now left the LDS Church, but when I was a member I was near suicide myself. I felt much like this return missionary did.

  • Comment removed

  • I left that cult after 50 yrs. of brainwashing. I want them to leave my children alone! They DO NOT own my children! I DO NOT want my teens going on a mission for Satan's cult. I will counteract it by shouting it from the rooftops of how the LDS Mormon church tore my forever family apart, and continues to encourage children to disobey parents. They USE families to strengthen their cult! I want to protest at their Missionary Training Center. Leave my children alone!

  • God set's the standard! Not men!

  • Comment removed

  • @squrilleyboy well unfortunately the lds standards are from Joseph Smith, not God.

  • Jesus NEVER mentioned that you must be sealed in a temple to gain exaltation. If it was SO VERY important an ordinance, wouldn't he have? Or did J. Smith come to correct Christ? Esphesians 2:13-16

  • Great work you are doing here! I have many Mormon coworkers, and they have gone on or are going on missionary trips. I want to reach out to them, but I don't know how to go about it!

  • Sad

  • You active mormons do not share your God with your wifes you believe your bishops are the ones you truly share your wife with and your self as letting them tell you what God wants what is best for you and they tell you this is what God told me to do .

  • @InTheseBooks where the heck do you come up with this statement??? God is god and he is shared with everyone in the world husband, wife, daughter, son, sister, brother, neighbor, everyone. Bishops are there to help give you further guidance as a couple if you need it.

  • I also testify that Shawn use to be a mormon and he was so high up there he could not take it anymore living a lie so he got out and still to this day he has his fight with the active mormons to this day but he if was prayed over that the mormon spirit leave his body which is unclean that is Gone by God. Who is only Jesus Christ his Savior he has a personal relationship with he shares with his beloved wife.

  • I well keep believing that Jesus is the Christ which i know he is . The holy spirit told me that he is the christ like yo usay your spirit claims they are seperate enitities but the holy spirit is God the father who hovered over the waters like he hovered over mary in the book of Mathew. Because God the Father is the son who came on earth as the Name Jesus and bore no sons because he was perfect there did not have to have sex because

  • There fore the son really donest mean anyting when he crucified on the cross for your sins because you need works to earn your self in to heaven ok my friend keep day dreaming you have your right to have your opinion ands thats all it is.

  • Beautiful sermon here testskfiftene

my reply to the man of God dude who said you cant love your neighbor love your self lol. This is very interesting what about can not also serve two masters which you do God elohim and the mormon Jesus you can serve one with out making the other less there is always one higher we all know you put God the father higher then the son.

  • BTW if this guy is a man of God, why does he bash another group of people? Sounds contradictive

  • @eldapeeze because man of God is found in Isaiah 40 - 31 something you dont read eldapeeze you judge me dude and say i dont know what i am talking about and i was x member dude im a little more hard core then shawn is i tell you right in your face your religion is peice of crap and there is nothign you can do about it eldappeze. I have a little more grudge on the mormons.

  • @InTheseBooks your full of it. Any man that calls himself a man of God with hate towards another is a hypocrite and a servant of Satan. So shut up and stop lying to yourself and any followers who believe you. You cant love God and hate your neighbor. I asume you know that dont ya

  • I couldnt live up to the standards but I didnt kill myself. Damn that kid must have had some serious self esteem problems.

  • sometimes they lose there belief all together finding out it is not true and end up being compeltyl atheist cause some wards the missionareies well tell you not to starty your own church and threatening y ou with if you do we well stop it which people could take them to court for that and should but there afraid because of the mormon bullies in there and in utah especially.

  • so there priest hood takes it to its hard to get it back and if they cant have that priest hood they cant livei n there celestial heaven. with there mate.

  • exactly thats what so dangerous about there cult is because they base works on salvation. they believe you cant sin if you have been baptized because there baptizm is salvation and if you do sin they well say then you truly have never repented there fore we well remove your priest hood for being dishonest i know how they are i struggled with them

  • @InTheseBooks

yes thats it. It has nothing to do with the fact that you dont know what your talking about. LOL

  • guess what dufus, Christians of all denominations commit suicide, the point? roll eyes.

  • I knew an Evangelical Christian who shot himself with a gun for the same reason as this guy. Point - ALL religions kill.

  • That's funny cause as an LDS member we have always been taught that intense guilt to the point of hurting oneself is not from God but from the Devil, afterall he is the one who would want somebody to kill themselves. God would never want that.

Please really make sure you understand what you are talking about before you tear it down.

  • @jessiekay16

yeah but why did he feel so guilty??? thats the question.

the lds doctrine puts people on a scorecard when you really think about it.

you do good-you go into the temple

you do bad-you could get excommunicated

    thats not grace or salvation,sorry

  • @lilbeaveymac . Well God wants us to try to be good. So there is a scorecard coming from God. That is why God sent His son. That IS what repentance is for. We believe people can live properly and people can change for the better.

P.S. Ive seen this talk show guy before and he says things that are completely false. Sometimes my mouth drops open He is lying to you about the Mormon church. All I'm saying is don't believe everything you see w/out 1st getting info from the actual source aka Mormons.

  • @jessiekay16 well i i used to be mormon... so here is your source. mormons are wrong. there is no scorecard! Thats how they make you feel... thats how they keep all their believers "In line" is through guilt. mormonism teaches that it is through your works that you get into heaven when the Bible teaches that it doesnt matter what we do here in this life we are all still sinners. Its is ONLY through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that we are saved. By His grace and mercy alone....

  • @kristena710 Okay...well that is not my experience at all as a Mormon. I'm sorry yours was not a good one. I just feel that 'doing whatever you want' and then expecting salvation is selfish. It is there to save you but only if you really repent.

  • @jessiekay16 well to think that your works here on earth can even come close to saving you is absolute ludacris. NO ONE can even come close to what Jesus did for us and for mormonism to teach that works will save you is unattainable and unrealistic. The only we can be saved by accepting Jesus and realizing that he did something that we could NEVER do for ourselves.

  • @kristena710 : Your exactly right. We never can do it. It is not our works that save us, it is the fact that we try. That is all God asks. Anyone who is really trying to live a good life will have the chance to be saved. Not just Mormons. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the Mormon church.

  • @kristena710 . It is also the fact that we accepted Christ as our Savior before we came to this Earth.

  • @jessiekay16 I encourage you to read and study the Bible. Have an open heart and pray, just the same as what you do with the book of mormon. You will see, God will open your eyes if you let him.

  • @kristena710 Thank you for the kind advise. I did this & I find both books to be true & to coincide with each other. It strengthened my testimony that the Mormon church is true. That God is just & merciful. Guilt to the point of repentance is good, it's called the Light of Christ (your conscience)but guilt that makes you hurt yourself is not from God. We are taught that being a sinner is okay. We just have to keep trying. None of us are perfect. That is why we have a Savior.

  • @kristena710 This young man was troubled beyond what the church can be called accountable for. However, he will be fine. God will take care of him.

  • @jessiekay16 the church is and can be completely accountable for his suicide. too much guilt put on him by the unattainable standards and the looks of dissappointment he got, I myself am familiar with these glares, when i was mormon and trying to repent when i didnt take the sacrament.... everyone stared.... bishop included.

  • Comment removed

  • @kristena710 That is sad to hear you felt that people were glaring at you. Some may have been and if so that is their problem, but it is my belief that the doctrines and teachings of the church are not to be blamed for his suicide.

I also do not believe that we will ever convince each other of our points of view. So spending time on this conversation for both us is, in my view, a waste of time. I wish you all the happiness and love a person can receive in your life. - Jessiekay

  • @jessiekay16. And may you find happiness as i have found. God bless.

  • @jessiekay16 I also have trouble believing that you have actually read the Bible. If you actually have and truly believe that it coincides with the b.o.m. then your comprehension and understanding of the Bible is extremely flawed. I would Encourage you to go get a NIV bible. It is much easier to understand and puts the Bible into easy to understand language.

  • @kristena710 I'm sorry you feel that way, but I have read it and I love every page of it. I wouldn't be able to love it, if I didn't understand it.

  • @lilbeaveymac

Mormons believe that those in the church will become gods and have many wives. Really.

  • @KyFMastercus being a member of the mormon church myself we don't believe in having more than one wife or husband. We believe that the sanctaity of marriage is between one man and one woman. If you don't know, you should ask and seek to see what is believed. The rumors that go around are not always true.

  • @angelia1986 Sorry, but even if you personally don't "believe" in multiple marriages, the LDS church doctrines have always embraced it in practice as well as a doctrine of salvation for wives. The still practice "spiritual" multiple marriages in hopes that the physical reality will again come to pass. Seek other videos on Mormon polygamy by Shawn. This is well documented and not a rumor at all. Average people within the church may not have all the facts, but the higher ups do.

  • @angelia1986 Then you must not believe Joseph Smith, because HE said it was an EVERLASTING covenant. Do your research. Brigham Young was a mass murderer! "American Massacre". He desecrated a cross at burial site, proclaiming it was a "vile, Christian symbol". 1857massacre(dot)com. Hence, no LDS Mormon church or temple ever has a cross. Jesus died on one for you. Joseph Smith DIDN'T. He only led people into lies while molested teen girls (adultery).

  • Respond to this video... WOW! My BISHOP SELLS beer in his restaurant. Double standard? A bishop cannot baptize a person who drinks the very thing he CAN SELL? How did he get to be "called of God" then? Did he LIE, too?

  • Comment removed

  • @latterdaymystic Do you realize the only thing that defines u in the last 3 paragraphs is your hatred of something else? What do you stand for? What do you believe? Life is hard, and people make mistakes. If you believe in Christ still, surely you know this because He is the only perfect one. Open your heart and listen, and see the goodness which is Christ. Forgive your brethren and move on. Or do you love your anger more than him?

  • @osup31 When someone leaves your cult, THEY need to leave us alone and give us our free choice to worship as we may, as they profess in their Articles of Faith to do. Why are they baptizing dead people, even Hitler! They won't even stop after you're dead. They (LDS Mormons) think they OWN people. They tell you everything you can or can't do in your entire life. Communism?

  • @latterdaymystic By all means, consider yourself left alone. Worship however you like. There's something you should probably understand and that is people are not constant. Humans are unique. An experience you have with one person may be unfavorable, while very favorable with another. There are problems and mis communications in every organization in the world. I'm sorry you've had some hard experiences with some latter day saint persons. So why are you upset? Don't you see that I care?

  • @latterdaymystic Isn't it uncomfortable to harness anger or become obsessive? If you're religious, then I hope you believe in Christ. If it so be, let's look at his words: Let us take up our cross, deny ourselves of all ungodliness, and follow him. It means forget about ourselves, forget about our pain, our obsessions, our difficulty and let go. Surrender. Remember him. When you're ready. I love you either way.

  • the preasure to live holy as a mormon I think is too stressful. God never put that mantle on us to walk. I live in Alberta, and Raymond is a mormon hub, a hub that also has a psyc ward. when we want to be holy on our own we as man, willl go insane. God alone can make us holy, and regenerate us to where He wants us.

  • All cults, as far as I know, make their adherents feel guilty, worthless, first, then they come up with the solution, salvation of some sort.

  • Lets face it. This young man whom you are speaking had problems. but to blame the Church?...c'mon.

  • Is this a guy or a girl?

Anyone who thinks Mormons put guilt on their members have NEVER been Roman Catholic.

  • The lds church presses great guilt upon all of the members that fail the worthiness test.

Another terrible, evil doctrine that mormonism professes, is that no one really goes to hell and people would kill themselves if they could see the other side.

No wonder there is such a high rate of suicide in Utah.

  • I was lds for 40 years and yes, alot of guilt for not "measuring up" and for not appearing as "worthy" as the stalwart lds.

  • It wasn't this guy being vulgar it was people talking in between him who were being vulgar. He was also wearing a Ramones shirt, which doesnt really matter, but the Ramones are such a poppy easy band that arent that good. I mean the ramones are probably great people but there music isnt that great clapton is better.

  • Watching Tv of this guy it seemed like he cared more about his views, ratings, money or whatever than he cared being a clean person. It was wierd to see him mix vulgar clips and vulgar jokes mixed with talking about god. Well i guess it wasn't super vulgar, but it was inbetween PG and PG13 rated vulgar and it still didn't mix with talking about god.

  • Lol i was bored one day and i watched this guys tv show for a few minutes it was kind of vulgar so i changed the channel too sienfield which believe it or not was less vulgar than this guys tv show that was on channel 20. haha soup nazi so funny. like the inbetween him talking clips they say kind of vulgar jokes, like they refered to a older gentlemens reproductive system when they were talking about a 100 year old marrying a 17 year old girl.

  • its funny you mention the 100yr old man because that is essentially part of the old church doctrine and probably something similar happened...maybe not as exaggerated as 100 but it would still be old. and 17 is not even the youngest girl married.

  • i don't know what your talking about but the bible probably for sure doesn't make a sexual joke about it.

  • oh the bible makes jokes about a lot of things....killing 42 teens because they made fun of someone because they were bald....

i have to make coffee every morning for my wife. thats no joke (its found in hebrews....

  • "Jakedevon is murder good or evil."

Murder is evil. Every single time.

  • Comment removed

  • sin is evil every single time.

murder however is forgivable unlike what would be taughtat an LDS place

  • neyeseek was saying that polygamy is neither good nor evil.

The Bible, however states that finding a wife is good. (Proverbs 18;22)

I was just pointing out that either he is wrong, or the Word of God is wrong.

Either way, he left my original question with no real answer.

(My original question was: Mormons, is polygamy good or evil?)

  • ok. i understand. I agree. thats a good question

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Oh my goodness Toy Story 3 trailer out! so so so exciting!

  • "Its not evil if god commands it."

So now you are saying that it is not evil?

  • God knows better then men. Its just a common fact. Some people look at all the starving people in Africa, and say "there is no way a good god would allow this"

but in my view i think of it this way

life is short. If you put the time of life over infinity then the time on earth is like a second.

    100 years/ infinity is short.

God knows whats best, God has far more knowledge than me or you. If god commands something and you disagree with it, think in your mind god knows something i dont.

  • Thats just my personal guess. I look at polygamy and think "Wow that would be awful for relationships, it would be hard for a woman to love a man who is with other women, blah blah blah." but then i think in my mind well i guess god must have had a good reason too allow it a short time for church growth or whatever reason god allowed it (im not really sure.)

But you can gain a strong knowledge of the church if you let your self be susceptible to it for a little white. Be open

    just saying.

  • "Thats just my personal guess."

    Well that went nowhere fast.

I guess that I'm back to square one.

Mormons, is polygamy good or evil?

  • Good, evil, neither. Is that water hot or cold or is water hot cold or warm is the answer A or B or is the answer C or is there any explanation who am i where am i where do i belong should i eat sushi or potatos wheres the answer or is there no answer at all who am i who are you
  • "Good, evil, neither."

The Bible says "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing," Proverbs 18:22

You seem to be saying: 'Whoso finds many wives finds neither good nor bad.'

Are you going to stick with- neither good nor evil?

  • Jakedevon is murder good or evil.

  • or does it depend.

  • "So you think when [G]od commands it [G]od is commanding evil."

Executing criminals is not murder. Just as killing enemy troops is not murder.

    "Good, evil, neither."

"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing," Proverbs 18:22

You seem to be saying 'Whoso finds many wives finds neither good nor bad.' Are you going to stick with- neither good nor evil?

  • yes, we are pointing out that the scripture is singular and refers to a wife. singular. not plural

    a singular wife is good.

  • Plus when most of the Mormons were asked to practice polygamy it was a huge hard burden that they didn't want to take, plus it wasn't practiced by very many mormons it was like 5% of the church or something like that.

  • Did you guys know that china is estimated by economists too out rank the United States economically by 2050? Thats a crazy thought. India is estimated to outrank us soon too i think.

  • i know that's irrelevant , but its crazy.

  • Mormons, is polygamy good or evil?

  • Evolution? give me a break, a disproved theory means you reject God? Watch the following video which will explain why Evolution is a dead end:

"Creation / Evolution debate on Michael Coren Show"

  • Iclamborn, Jesus as a Myth? You can't be serious? I'll send you a link to a debate between atheist Dan Barker of the Freedom from Religion Foundation and Christian Apologist Dr. James White, I think that will save us both a lot of time. If the link doesn't work then type "Was Jesus a Myth? Part 1" in to the YouTube search engine and it should be the first video on the list.

  • bye

  • bye.

  • Mormons, is polygamy good or evil?

  • Depends on if god Prohibits it or not. Right now god does not allow it, but for some reason a short while god allowed it. I dont know the exact reason god allowed it but at the early times of the church there was Alot more females than males, and i guess he maybe wanted the church to grow or something. Right now god does not allow it or condone it, he will not allow it right now, and probably will never again.

Polygamy was practiced in the bible also.

Its pretty much Ok only when god allows it

  • "Right now [G]od does not allow it,"

If it is evil, as you say, then why is the doctrine of polygamy still in the Doctrines & Covenants (doctrine 132)?

You seem to be saying that the LDS has some evil doctrines.

  • jakedevon thats like saying "if christians dont sacrifice heifers anymore how come is it still in the bible" Your argument is wierd.

We dont take out stuff when things change, neither do people take out the things in the bible that have changed.

why do you put a [G] like that.

  • Jesus's atonement changed so that sacrificing animals wouldn't be necessary anymore, yet its still in the bible. Just like that doctorine is still there, its look at as church history not doctorine anymore.

  • "...that like saying "if christians dont sacrifice heifers anymore how com is it still in the bible" Your argument is wierd.

we dont take out stuff when things change,"

I didn't say that you should change your scripture. I asked why polygamy is still in mormon DOCTRINE if, as you say, it is evil.

So, why is polygamy still in mormon DOCTRINE if, as you say, it is evil?

  • I think doctorines and covenants is just the name of those scriptures, since that what it was, that part of it changed though.

I dont get what your saying , you think we should take it out, or what? whats your solution sir?

  • Its not evil if god commands it.

  • Really God allowed polygamy? did he allow Sin? No. but did people sin and do they today? yes. People tend to do what they want and if God was a just God we all would and are in big trouble.

This is why we need Jesus, Jesus is the ONLY way we can even think to be worthy of Heaven. Polygamy in the OT was just as sinnfull ans it would be today. God will and has never allowed it. Joseph Smith did this on his own for his own reasons.

  • Exodus3141AM if you have you read the first 200 pages of the bible like i have you would know that god allowed polygamy in the Bible. I think it was Issac who took his wife, his wifes sister, his wifes maid, and his wifes sisters maid and had children with all of them. Im pretty sure it was Issac. And if it was so sinful why did god bless Issac so much and promised him his seed would cover the earth or something like that. Read the first 100 pgs of the bible and you will knw wat im talking bout

  • well actually i dont know if Issac married all the woman , but still he had children with all of them. So that would be even worse than polygamy in todays standards? or not? i guess you guys can decide.

  • Issac was one of gods most blessed people.

  • And it wasn't so much "allowed" as "commanded."

    i don't know why i said allowed.

  • "commanded"? ok then there must be scripture to support this false idea! God NEVER commanded a sin. God also never changes His mind!

You really need to read and understand the Bible more!

  • Its jacob not issac sorry im really bad at reading and i mix stuff up and forget stuff. i agree im not a bible expert yet, probably will be in like 15 years. but ya Genesis 30 i believe.

Its jacob who had children with 4 dif woman ( i think they were married) and was still recieving messages from god check it out.

  • exodus314 i believe your right. I think god does not change his mind, but circumstances change. God will do different things in different situations. As situations change things god does will probably change. For example if your a extreme-sinner who abuses women and hurts children god might not bless you that much, but if you try to be a good person then god might send some karma your way.

you get the point im saying though, things change. Different situation calls for dif actions.

  • Plus i don't think its like god randomly said Go polygamy, Stop polygamy, things changed. I think it was when the US law went into place, The mormon church believes in being subject to kings, magestrates, and rulers or something like that its a Article of faith in our church. and when that took place there was contradiction of what we were doing and our beliefs so i think someone prayed about it. And the law of the land won

  • Comment removed

  • I'm not a mormon history genuis, so i might not be fully right, but i think it happened something like that.

  • I am glad to see that you are not 100% sure, that means you can check it out for yourself!

Do not just take my word for it and please do not go running to someone at your church. Look for yourself!! God wants you to know the truth!

Say if the Bible is good (it is great) to you then what would it hurt you to join a christian home bible study group?

I would check it out if I were you.

    God Bless!

  • exodus314 why did you subscribe to me haha? did you like my favorited videos? hahah or what

that Danny's song by kenny loggins favorited on my page is the cutest song in the world. Its cuter than a rabbit. No a bunny. And bunnys are really cute.

  • I subscribe to alot of different people, all religious back grounds and ways of life.

I do because I care about everyone!

God wants us to seek all his people to show them the truth!

    Take care my friend!

  • according to lds doctrine i guess jesus dying for us isnt enough............

  • I'm going to stop wasting my time on religion videos. And debating with people. Both sides of the argument believe their right and honestly these videos are pointless and don't get anywhere. My opinions on religion haven't changed a bit from your guys arguments and neither have your guys opinions.

All i can say is that it is absolutely wonderful to be a Mormon young man. Like Gordon B Hinckley said to Larry king Its not hard to be a mormon, its wonderful, demanding, but wonderful.

  • And, unless God has mercy on you and does a work in your heart, you will remain blind to the truth of His Word. It's black and white, simple, and plain as day right there for you, but you reject it for Joseph Smith's lies...just like God said it would happen.

  • I'll be sorry to see you go neyeseek, but the next time you're passing an evangelical church do yourself a favour and pop in and hear the real Gospel preached from God's word. Shalom.

  • Thanks for your advice, i don't think ill use it. but its the thought that you care to share what you believe that is required to get into heaven that counts. I would suggest the same go into a lds church, you probably feel the same and wont use it, but its the thought i invited you that counts =)

  • Johny the reason you quit Mormonism is because you wanted lower standards, and felt you couldn't meet the standards, its obvious by how much you bring it up. You can meet the standards by praying with faith to help you overcome sins. No mormon is perfect even my priesthood leaders admit to swearing occasionaly. But god judges us on lots of things and we believe doing all we can on our part, and then Jesus does the rest, to make us perfect.

  • neyeseek, you're as offensive as you are errant. How dare you accuse JohnyJamie of having selfish motives for leaving the false church of the LDS! That may be the evil desire in your heart but JJ left because she was saved by Jesus and rejected the man centred cult of Mormonism, get over yourself!

  • The truth hurts neyeseek, you are confused, only because you've been lied to. Take a stand against the vipers who have ensnared you in this cult. Read the Bible and trust in Jesus alone, you can add nothing to the finished work of the cross so stop trying to win God's forgiveness with your self righteousness.

  • God would never lie, Satan "prince of lies" would do that!

  • You need to read all of 2 Thessalonians 2. It is talking about the Lawless one working working with Satan and God will not lie but will cloud the eye of the ones who are perishing because they are following this person. Now some may say this is Joseph Smith??? If you cannot see the truth then maybe your eyes are being clouded?? I hope not my friend.

Read it please, it will make it clear.

  • Exodus314 is correct. God doesn't lie. In

2 Thes 2, God is essentially saying their hearts have been hardened so they believe the lies of Satan. See also Romans 9. God hardens hearts and has mercy on who He will. I pray He has mercy on you, neyeseek.

Joseph Smith lied and Mormons believe that garbage becuse they have not believed the truth, God's Word.

  • What difference is it to pray concerning the Book of Mormon if the Bible has already spoken out against it? Do you think the all-knowing God of the Bible is so inept and forgetful that He would approve a book and religion which is opposed to what He has already revealed? Never! The Book of Mormon, and Mormonism as a whole, meets the criteria of being 'another gospel.' No amount of semantics or prayer will change the matter.

  • neyeseek, you have no idea why another individual leaves your cult, you've been brainwashed by the stuffed shirts in Utah and are proving beyond doubt that you have no faculty to think for yourself. God cannot lie only false prophets and demons. Hold your leaders claims against the Bible and you will see clearly that they are deceivers. God has eternally been God (Ps 90:2), Joseph said He was once a sinful man like us, get out of that cult now!

  • "mormons" are not the bad ones, it is mormonism that is bad. It takes good intending people and tricks them. It twists the Bible and makes it "as long as it is translated correctly" not so important. Then it takes God and makes Him once a man like us. Then to top it all off if you are "good enouph" which no one can be, you to can be a god on your own planet.

So as I was saying, mormons are not the wrong ones its Joseph Smith who did this to you.

  • I quit Mormonism because it's false. God saved me.

  • What makes this even worse is the mormon 'word of wisdom' allows drinking beer. Check out my uploaded video on this 'word of wisdom'.

  • Nick Nolte is a Mormon?

  • Unfortunately, this individual was overwhelmed by the tribe. Religion generally amplifies underlying mental illness tendencies. Guilt always plays a role, IMO. Religion also asks for faith in spite of contradictory evidence, which leads the individual to distrust his own intellect - also unheathful. People susceptible to mind control exhibit insecurity, low self-esteem, and seek approval of the tribe. We see all these traits in his letter to mom. He was a victim of mind control.

  • Iclamborn, as a mental health profession and a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I can say with the authority of a professional that your comments are simply biased opinion and contrary to mental health research. Faith, in the main, leads to a healthier mental state. Some cults, like Mormonism, exact high standards and this can contribute to an unstable mind but Christian Faith is a free gift of God and not reliant on jumping through hoop after hoop

  • I think we are actually in agreement - destructive mind control is destructive to the human intellect and mental health, whether it is in a religion, a gang, or a military unit. Not all religions use destructive mind control, and I was wrong to imply that all religions do. Would humanity be better off without Christian and Islamic faiths? I believe so - my opinion only. I could be wrong, but nobody can prove me wrong. Wouldn't it be lovely to try it for a few thousand years and see?

  • Iclamborn, if you were a serious student of history I would gladly enter a debate with you on the pros and cons of the Christian faith in social terms. But as you're clearly biased against religion per se I suspect my time would be wasted and I mean that without malice. By the by, there is a world of difference between Islam and Christianity in terms of social structure and freedom to serve philanthropically. Should you wish to discuss truth and its absolute nature I'm happy to talk.

  • Well, I am only 51 years young, and have only been seriously studying for a few years, and as Archibald Wheeler has said, "As the island of my knowledge grows, so grows the shore of my ignorance." I don't have all the answers, but I think I have started asking the right questions. One of those questions is not whether you have religion, it is whether religion has you. The more I study, the more I become convinced than mankind no longer needs superstitious beliefs.

  • Iclamborn, you are starting from a place of incongruous inquiry, you've already concluded before you've begun that anything religious is simply 'superstitious belief'. Your line of enquiry is philosophically void of meaning by your own definition. In all senses of the word you are prejudice, something not uncommon amongst those of older years. Your suppositions are telling, you believe all religions to be man made, when in fact every religion bar the one true faith is man made. Open enquiry?

  • And you reveal your prejudice by presupposing that there is one true faith. The evidence that all religions are man-made is overwhelming to the objective researcher. Virtually everything mankind has tried to explain, one thought to be supernatural, has found a natural explanation of high probability. We have a trend! I expect it will continue. Embracing the possibility that there is no true faith would be a truly open inquiry.
