It's definitely different, which is always a good thing. as long as they don't ever cross over to the realm of ridiculous amounts of product placement that captain amazing in mystery men did.

This series isn't a yaoi, it contains no gay smut (in canon), and it is not shonen-ai either, the series *does* focus on Tiger and Bunny's relationship with and to each other, but it is not a BL (Boys Love) series. There *is,* however, a lot of BL undertones. Kotetsu and Barnaby's relationship was stated by the creator as being however we, the fans, decide to interpret it. Also, Nathan and Pao-lin see themselves as agendered and androgynous (Word of God), which also appeals to an LGBTQ fanbase.
