He used to be a huge DJ in Memphis before he went west, with his wife, to find fame and glory. I don’t know but it could have been recorded at STAX, sounds like the Memphis Horns…
I remember dancing in PE during the late 70's in elementary school to this...they made us get in a circle to dance like crazy kids on crack....now i dance to this for fun

@YerenFilms Hi YerenFilms. I knew that this song had sold over 1 million copies, but i never knew that it sold 6 million copies. That is unbelievable. And i am one of the 6 million people that still have this record in their Record Collection. This song for some reason has always brought a smile to my face each and every that i have heard it. It still does to this date. Thanks for the information about the song. Much appreciated.
@kirufusmcclure1 Hey, you're welcome. I listened this for the very first time a month ago on Xirious XM radio, on the 70s music station. I was so intrigued that I look it up on internet and that's how I found out that it had sold 6 million. This song makes me smile too.
@YerenFilms yes, because americans like to by crap, and lots of it. the more crap they buy, the happier. how else can one explain the bradford exchange collection of plates? who else would buy their crap. i'll tell you. americans. let's see, there is the elvis plate, the superbowl plate, the obama plate (which means there has been a plate of the presidents since ronald reagan), and if one tried hard enough, i bet there is a disco duck plate, to better commemorate the era or crap
