GRAMA SEVA 2011 - from the 28th September to 6th October.
This year's Grama seva will cover three mandals surrounding Parthi, Kothacheruvu, Bukkapatnam and Puttaparthi mandals. About 145 villages would be covered as part of Grama seva this year with about 350,000 houses. Each house hold will be given a saree, Dhothi and food packets and Laddu for each member in the family..

Devotees from Prakasam District got their opportunity to perform their annual pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam this week. A speech and a Carnatic music concert comprised today's programme. A skit entitled 'Seva Aradhana' is scheduled for tomorrow.
The programme commenced with Vedic recitation at 1630hrs. At 1700hrs, Sri . M.S. Krishnamurthy, District President of Prakasam District addressed the gathering.
"Where there is love, there is no room either for hatred or for disease. When there is no love, there will be hatred towards others and that hatred will develop into a big disease. Jealousy, anger, and ego are the biggest diseases. If you want to keep yourself aloof from these three diseases, you must try to love everybody."

Some of the goods and material we have sent has been distributed to isolated or hard-to-reach refuges in three cities/towns via patrol ship of Japanese Coastal Guard, while SSOJ volunteers have delivered the rest to refuges around Sendai city.
Our volunteers have sung Bhajans at the refuges they have visited, a report says that everybody was in tears possibly attributed to stress relieving effects of the Bhajans.
With the assistance of some trained devotees, a West Indian teachers handbook was published in Trinidad in 1987, which has attracted attention in Educational circles throughout the region. The Sai organization in Trinidad provides trained teachers to visit the other islands in the region to publicize the EHV(Education in Human Values) programme and conduct training exercises where the programme has been accepted.
The activities carried out in the region include conducting bhajans in the centers and groups, selfless service (seva), Sai spiritual education, and youth activities. On the island of Trinidad, the Youth and Bal Vikas sections are strong.
The propagation of Education in Human Values has considerable interest in this region. In this respect, the West Indies may be ahead of many other world regions.
The present administration in Trinidad and Tobago recognises the importance of values education. As a result, the Sai Organisation has trained approximately 1000 teachers in the primary schools in the first quarter of 2000. The training programme is continuing, and it is envisaged that all teachers from primary schools will take this programme. TV programs are shown. An article on Sathya Sai Baba's teachings is published weekly in a daily newspaper.
Sai Organization, the West Indies, extends from the Bahamas to Surinam.
A high level of Sai awareness has developed in the region, particularly in Trinidad, Guyana, and Barbados, as a result of public education programmes such as public meetings, newspaper articles, and radio and television broadcasts, which have been conducted over the last 20 years. On these islands the general population knows about Bhagawan Baba, as well as something about His mission and teachings.
Sai Organization, the West Indies, extends from the Bahamas in the North to Surinam on the South American Continent in the South.
The main countries in this region with a Sai presence are Trinidad, Jamaica, Guyana, and Surinam. The others are the Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and the islands of Curacao and Aruba of the Netherland Antilles. Region 5 has about 90 Sai centres and groups, with about 60 in Trinidad, 7 in Jamaica, 14 in Guyana, and 7 in Surinam.

This year's Grama seva will cover three mandals surrounding Parthi, Kothacheruvu, Bukkapatnam and Puttaparthi mandals. About 145 villages would be covered as part of Grama seva this year with about 350,000 houses. Each house hold will be given a saree, Dhothi and food packets and Laddu for each member in the family..

Doctors who were giving treatment to Satyasai Baba have opined that, he is clinical dead. They have observed his eye balls swollen from 3mm to 8mm which is the indication of clinical death. (In medical terms it is called as Pupil Dilation.) His heart beat and BP also completely fall down and all his vital organs like heart, kidneys, lever etc are one by one stop functioning. Governor of Andhra Pradesh or Home Minister may make an official announcement about Satyasai Baba’s death soon.

SSOJ (Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Japan)
Some of the goods and material we have sent has been distributed to isolated or hard-to-reach refuges in three cities/towns via patrol ship of Japanese Coastal Guard, while SSOJ volunteers have delivered the rest to refuges around Sendai city.
Our volunteers have sung Bhajans at the refuges they have visited, a report says that everybody was in tears possibly attributed to stress relieving effects of the Bhajans.

Trinidad and Tobago have 60 Centres
EHV(Education in Human Values)
With the assistance of some trained devotees, a West Indian teachers handbook was published in Trinidad in 1987, which has attracted attention in Educational circles throughout the region. The Sai organization in Trinidad provides trained teachers to visit the other islands in the region to publicize the EHV(Education in Human Values) programme and conduct training exercises where the programme has been accepted.

The activities carried out in the region include conducting bhajans in the centers and groups, selfless service (seva), Sai spiritual education, and youth activities. On the island of Trinidad, the Youth and Bal Vikas sections are strong.
The propagation of Education in Human Values has considerable interest in this region. In this respect, the West Indies may be ahead of many other world regions.

The present administration in Trinidad and Tobago recognises the importance of values education. As a result, the Sai Organisation has trained approximately 1000 teachers in the primary schools in the first quarter of 2000. The training programme is continuing, and it is envisaged that all teachers from primary schools will take this programme. TV programs are shown. An article on Sathya Sai Baba's teachings is published weekly in a daily newspaper.

Sai Organization, the West Indies, extends from the Bahamas to Surinam.
A high level of Sai awareness has developed in the region, particularly in Trinidad, Guyana, and Barbados, as a result of public education programmes such as public meetings, newspaper articles, and radio and television broadcasts, which have been conducted over the last 20 years. On these islands the general population knows about Bhagawan Baba, as well as something about His mission and teachings.

Sai Organization, the West Indies, extends from the Bahamas in the North to Surinam on the South American Continent in the South.
The main countries in this region with a Sai presence are Trinidad, Jamaica, Guyana, and Surinam. The others are the Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and the islands of Curacao and Aruba of the Netherland Antilles. Region 5 has about 90 Sai centres and groups, with about 60 in Trinidad, 7 in Jamaica, 14 in Guyana, and 7 in Surinam.

Brothers and Sisters, we have confirmed almost all members of SSOJ (Sathya Sai Seva Organisation Japan) are safe. We have a few people still waiting confirmation. However, we have postivie information to make us believe that Swami is protecting his dears.
SSOJ has sent 16 tons of goods and material along with 50 or so volunteers to Sendai, the biggest city in the disaster area. In the mean time, we are chanting Gayatri Mantra at Bhajan meetings, and at home.
