  • yeap, its been more than 10 years, but theres no match for this game...not even in xbox,ps3,pc or wii....this was the REAL gaming.,

  • When Link is fighting the Stalfos, it seems like an oldschool LOZ dungeon in 3d. That would've been interesting.

  • 0:27 Spring season in click clock wood if i'm not mistaken :)

  • This is also some childhood stuff, didnt play it as much as wind waker though

  • how come all zelda games always look better at E3? ocarina of time was still definately a perfect game though

  • As much as I'm looking forward to Skyward Sword, OoT was a watershed moment and completely changed the way I look at games. I don't think any game can possibly top the experience of playing this for the first time when I was 10.

  • i miss banjo on nintendo 64 if rare could go back with nintendo they would make a new banjo !!!

  • This is easily fake you can see part of a wall in it also I don't think there would be only walking an no fighting that is soooo fake!!

  • @EpicDlp This isn't fake...and if you did your learning on Ura Zelda you would know better...its a shame people like you go around calling this fake. :/ And back in the day it wasnt just about action it was about wonderment! It was when times were new to 3D enviromental worlds like that, so Nintendo used the aspect of that for the trailers themselves. So that when people got the game it wouldnt be a huge let down that they already have seen what they are going to get...like today.

  • banjo kazooie theme

  • did anyone else saw Banjo Kazooie on the tv?

  • The Legend of Zelda + Banjo kazooie music = epic xD

  • @EpicDlp Real!

  • @EpicDlp its the beta version dumbass

  • @EpicDlp Faggot!!!

  • What's written in the sticker is the actual name, no one looks at roms, seriously these terms are just code terms, like how the Wii was referred to as "Revolution". Just a code name for the game, not the actual name of the software.

  • And either way, how can anyone refer to OOT as Zelda 64? I mean come on, there were TWO Zelda games for the system, lmao.

  • so legit

  • I'm so glad they didn't keep the name Zelda 64, Ocarina of Time is just legendary.

  • @waterhands20 its still called zelda 64 in the ram of the game -.- ocarina of time is just a sub name holder.

  • @skater24481

Dude, I'm just calling it by the name on the cartridge. You don't hear people say, "Hey, do you remember Zelda 64? Ah that was such a great game.". Just saying that the name itself is incredibly powerful in the Zelda franchise and amongst gamers, and thankfully it's not Zelda 64. ;p

  • @waterhands20 lol, miyamoto still calls it Z64. ohwell.

  • @skater24481

Never heard him call it Zelda 64 unless it was before the actual OOT release (For interviews, conventions, media). All in all, awesome game with an awesome title.

  • @waterhands20 in one of the windwaker pre reviews when it was first coming out, he compared it to zelda 64.

  • @skater24481

Just one interview? Either way, it's called Ocarina of Time, not Zelda 64 so it really doesn't matter.

  • @waterhands20 the sticker says ocarina of time. if you look in the ram, the n64 reads it as Zelda64.ROM

  • I'm glad that we got oot

  • link moves alot smoother in this trailer... .-.

  • Oh my god...LINK HAS NO PANTS!!

  • @Melkac Actually, he's wearing tights. Btw, did you know that this was about to take place in an entire castle ala Super Mario 64?

  • @Octorok172 Ha, yeah, I read that at an article. First Mario 64, then Resident Evil...it would have been very weird if this game followed the same formula.

  • This is one of the few betas I've seen where I am completely glad we got the version we got.

  • where is that famous triforce scene?

  • Me gusta el fondo musical de Banjo Kazooie jeje,

  • @Carlohades Eh, ok?

  • @Melkac I think he said he's fond of the Banjo-Kazooie music.

  • @Octorok172 Since spanish is my main language...I know that...

  • I miss those days...

    Fack time.

  • wow the graphics look so different

  • (me looking at these graphics when i was little) Sweet jesus those graphics are good. (today) THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?!?!?!

  • thumbs up if you would like zelda oot to look like this but some changes!

  • @TheOrangeloveant lol why.. the final looked 100x better

  • @xjustin523x huh?

  • @TheOrangeloveant you said you wanted ocarina of time to look like it does in the video.. but why it looks awful

  • @xjustin523x that's your opinion

  • @Redgenesisxiii Well, not NOW. There' still 11 days.

  • Ocarina of Time and Banjo Kazooie at E3... now it's Call of Duty and Battlefield Bad Company... What happened to the old E3?

  • @Goldhawkstar MMM Halo happened....that and also a lot of other things...I truly miss the old E3 even though I was to young to be a part of it :(.

  • Awesome. And B-K music in the backround just adds to the epicness. Man, I LOVE the late 90's. They were great.

  • banjo kazooie a pretty awesome game, but THIS IS A DEMO OF THE BEST FREAKING VIDEOGAME IN HISTORY. could you stop speaking about banjoo kazooie?

  • Comment removed

  • The Legend of Banjo: Kazoo of Time

  • @TheTKCreborn The Legend of Banjo: Kaoozie of Tooie

  • Why does it say 1997, if Zelda:Ocarina of Time was released in November of 1998?

  • Comment removed

  • @RetroVideoFan because this vid was shown at e3 97

  • @RetroVideoFan The games are always announced one year before in the E3 conference. Ocarina of Time was announced in 1997 and released in 1998

  • @RetroVideoFan the beta version was from 1997

  • I love the way you can actually sheath/unsheath your sword without attacking XD

  • Kinda sad how much better the beta looked D:

  • @thedudemonn You actually think this looks better than the finished product?

  • @Lunarvx22 In some ways at least.

  • @thedudemonn How? Nothing about this looks better to me, it's about as primitive looking as 3D games ever were on the N64.

  • @Lunarvx22 Just an opinion of mine, not i'm forcing you to like it or anything.

I just have an odd fascination with unfinished things.

  • @thedudemonn Fair enough. I find it fascinating too, I'd love to get the chance ot play these early versions of gaems I love.

  • Is it wrong that the first thing I noticed in this video was Banjo-Kazooie music? Apparently not judging by all the other commets.

  • @cjszero01 If you look really closely at the top left corner, you can see a reflection of the Banjo-Kazooie E3 Booth right across from this one.

  • Man, the sword's freaking massive and you can barely see the Z-targeting system. Thank god they changed those before release...

  • wow, the animation looks more like WW

  • Wow! This visuals and animations changed a lot when OoT came out a year and a half after this E3. I hope the same will happen with Skyward Sword.

  • @Galvanizer67 I cannot tell you how much I feel the same. I really hated WW's cell-shading, and I swear if they implement that in SS, I will kill Link in the game over and over again instead of myself. ._.

  • @apurforyou I didn't like the graphics of TWW either. The good news is that SS has been delayed till late 2011 so there's some good time that the graphics will improve and have a better style of cel-shading. I want a style similar to the characters in Street Fighter IV.

  • @Galvanizer67 That would look pretty neat.

  • @apurforyou I have a strong feeling the final graphics will look like the intro to Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance on the GameCube. Search "Fire Emblem Ike's Training" and watch the first video that comes up.

  • The legends of Banjo-Kazooie!

  • omg in the beta they had more animations to run and so on.. omg and in final game not....

  • the beta banjo kazooie opening theme is more better than the original

  • This must have been...... magical

  • I NEED THIS ON 3DS AND I NEED A 3DS NOW!!!!

  • a year b4 release they were still making the DD version thats insane

  • link looks more round and good looking in the beta compared to the pointy bodied link in the real oot

  • the swordplay is sloppy

  • Omg!! I heard a kazooie squawk!! Raaaa

  • banjo kazooie music in the background lol

  • hahaha banjo kazooie is in the reflection and I hear click clock woods :)

  • you were at e3 in 1997? unfuckinreal.

  • so glad they didnt call it zelda 64

  • haha SEE!

    skyward sword will be badass.

  • lol banjo music

  • No one ever knew at that moment that this game was going to be the best.

  • this game is gonna get a remake to 3Ds... so sweet, so simple

  • hahaha banjo kazooie in the background makes me laugh

  • The attack looks nice why they quited that attack style?

  • Its just me or the animation and lingthing there looks smother than the final OoT

  • @Imlunatik0 It does.

  • Sounds nice with banjo kazooies music it was probly in the beta version of the legend of zelda

  • I here Banjo Kazooie well it is better that Oot thats for sure still I am some what confused???

  • They sure made changes before it realesed

  • Why is there Banjo-Kazooie music playing on a Legend of Zelda Game?

  • At this E3, Banjo Kazooie was being shown too. I think the booth set up for Banjo Kazooie had the music really loud because you can hear it in some of the other videos I put up too.

  • i thinks its from another demo

  • word!

  • Hell this is one of the best games ever made

  • Conkers bad fur day is way better.

  • one thing that always annoyed me about oot is that link has to swing his sword whenever he takes it out

  • I know thats just gay and unepic.

  • this zelda ocarina of time looks totaly different....why? :O

  • it was demo.

  • oh, this is the preview for the nintendo 64DD, but it got changed to zelda: OoT because it was a failer

  • It's interesting how there's click clock wood music in the E3 version of Banjo-Kazooie. Yet, to my knowledge, the level wasn't even implemented in the game at that time.

  • they might of had that music playing over another level at the time

  • @helmsly2010 might HAVE

  • It was fungus forrest. Just a therory??

  • @runehero124 Interesting... Why don't you ask your girlfriend?

  • @Cossner Why don't you go troll yours?

  • @runehero124 Maybe I will troll her. I'll troll her all night long. (xD)

  • @runehero124 And sorry to be a dbag but, I find it hilarious that you can remember an obscure fact from 1997. I don't think even the guys at rare remember that.

  • @Cossner: Sure, if you don't consider the possibility that I acquired the information from an issue of N-Power stating there were only certain levels in the E3 build of Banjo-Kazooie. It seems you think I managed to retain that obscurity in memory since 1997. If so, lol...

  • @runehero124 Well I don't know about you but I DO remember some stupid stuff from 1997 o_o. Anyway what issue of Nintendo Power?

  • banjo kazooie music in background

  • OH MY FUCKING GOD!!! THIS IS SOME OF THE FIRST FOOTAGE I EVER SAW ON THE INTERNET BACK IN 97!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This may very well be the very first clip I EVER saw on the internet when I was 11!

  • yeah me too but with another zelda 64 beta video! it was a .mov file that I found with aol search xD

  • WOOOOOHOOOO BANJO KAZOOIE!

    and

    yay for link

  • Yay Banjo is better than link yay:)

  • these old zelda videos are making me sad, i hate growing up, hahaha

  • The shield was less uncreative but it had better graphics

  • omg itz so different!

  • must of been the worlds best e3 ever!

  • Heh, Banjo-Kazooie music... so great. :)

  • haha i heard it too

  • haha they're probably playing that in the bacground

  • haha its better than all zelda games for the n64 haha.

  • Is it me, or Link actually looked better?

  • Yeah, I also thought that.

  • thats cause he was on a disk at one point weird yes??

  • @badenaf777 dude stfu

  • no i got wrong.... all is banjo musi c=)

  • whats with the banjo and kazzoie music? lol i love that game!

  • At this E3, Banjo Kazooie was being shown too (I think it was playable). I'm guessing the booth set up for Banjo Kazooie had the music blaring out really loud lol

  • oh that makes sense

  • @helmsly2010 Well yeah its Grant F**king Kirkhope of course they're gonna blast it :3

  • What!? did i heard banjo cazooie music in the end??? when theire in the tree lvl???? lol i love the game too!!!!! where'd u got that from??? when i heard that i lolled high! =P
