They're jamming. It's not about to sound polished- George loved all things Dylan (and The Band) so it's a little busk on a favourite. If you think The Beatles are a 'boy band' you obviously have no reference or context. Dylan and The Beatles are among the very best of music in the 20th century (and probably the 21st as well). Some people feel they have to slag one to make their favourite appear greater still. Pretty sad.

In terms of songwriting, Bob Dylan is vastly superior. The Beatles had nothing to say until they heard Dylan. Besides, Dylan is one guy against three and a half (the half is Ringo). The sad truth is the Beatles were a boy band when they started out. Their songs were short, simple love songs, girls thought they were cute. After meeting Dylan, they started making their best albums.

Neither are better than the other, because they are both so different...Dylan was a genius and so were Lennon and McCartney, not to mention Harrison..I love them all. it's always george singing these dylan songs in the let it be sessions. Dylan and George were probably jammin' together in those days. Writing tunes like "if not for you" etc, etc.

I love it...George was forming a little safety net while John and Paul were away, using Billy Preston and Ringo to back his awesome songs. I'm not being sarcastic with that statement btw...any beatles scholar can tell you that these sessions were a dark time for the band..they could have broken up right then!

Terrible? It's from a rehearsal, not meant to be released. Reminds me of people who are so critical of Muhammad Ali that they go so far as to critique his sparring sessions. Keep up. Dylan is great, but he isn't the Beatles.
