  • At 0:35 I sprained my back by doing this. It still hurts even though I keep applyinc medication on it. This is a tricky exercise. It forces you to crunch you straight back. I don't get it how it's healthy for you.

  • @vandijkimke apparently exercising before you sleep might make it harder for you to fall asleep.

  • im a fitness freek. been dancing since i was 4 so like 10-11 years now. i take ballet tap ect...ect.... but i also take yoga and paloties. anyways if you work at it these excersises make a huge difference. i also suggest if you fing this excersise easy, then when you lift your hips and flatten them out keep them like that and do the flutter excersise while in that posision. if you can't hold it then try putting your hands under your hips to help you hold yourself up. happy excersisig!

    People say like "I´m not overweight i just tip over" and "im not fat but i can´t touch my toes!"

    If you tip over you either have serious issues with your balance or you weigh too much.

    If you can´t touch your toes your'e either paralyzed or very fat. Try sitting down and reach for your toes.

  • You sir/madam are a very rude person, I cannot reach my toe's for a standing or sat position and I'm underwieght for my height.

    I have a back problem as do many people so please consider what you say before you laugh and pressume to know people's circumstances.

    Let's also not forget the people who do not stretch all the time and as a result have shortened/tightened tendons... these cause major inflexibility.

  • o_O Only an uneducated numb nut would say something like that. Do your research before you try to post a "smart" comment. Can't touch your toes had nothing to do with weight it's all about stretch in the hamstring and muscles. and if you don't stretch often it's hard and painful to touch them. Fat has nothing to do with balance or flexibility. I've seen fat girls do splits better than skinny ones. So....o_O common again.

  • make sure you warm up and stretch properly before! It will hurt in the beginning if you're not used to it. Try doing less repetitions and following the instructions carefully until you can do more :) Also, try doing other pilates exercises as well as they work synergistically to strengthen the core and the stronger your core, the less it will hurt. Good luck!
