Reincarnation is the rebirth of the soul in a new body- often adhered to by religions who believe man needs to break this cycle somehow. Reincarnation is the rebirth of the soul in a new body- often adhered to by religions who believe man needs to break this cycle somehow. For example, they might believe you can come back as a dog or bird etc. Resurrection (in the context of Christian theology) is dying and receiving a new (glorified) body just as the resurrected Christ did. You *need* to take a look at the claims of Jesus, pray and ask Him to reveal Himself to you so that you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Look to Jesus- who even though you reject Him as God and deny His shed blood for your sins still cries out to you in love with open arms and says, "come to me..." @lablask OK. Let me unpack some misconceptions you seem to have picked up about Christianity: Jesus was a Jew. He wasn't from the west. Christianity is not a western religion- it began with Jews and a handful of gentiles in the Middle East. It spread from there outwards into the west and the east- but it isn't a "western thing". He is definitely new for India. I can promise you that. But He has been preached there for some time. look it up ;) And I am not advocating going to Church.

Jesus Christ is *not* the same as Sai Baba- whichever one you are talking of. He is God. He led a sinless life. He died for your sins. @lablask I cannot look beyond Jesus who is the God-Man. The Bible tells me in Acts 4:12 that there "is not other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved". Why would I exchange a relationship with God who has forgiven my sins and gives me peace and hope and joy with idols, philosophies, man made rituals and ideas, struggles, a looking inside of myself for some kind of divinity, or a system that locks me in and makes me a prisoner to my birth? Apparently you do not realize that Jesus (a Jew) was the fulfilment of the Old Testament, not an inventer of a new religion. 2009 merely dates his earthly manifestation. He is mentioned many times in the OT. Pantheism and polytheism are perverted offshoots of the true worship of the one true God. Mahabharata is only early bronze age. The Bible records events much earlier.
