  • Your tempo starts to slow as you head into minute 3, so I'd keep practicing.

  • My boyfriend told me he learned how to play this just for me. He is going to play it for me on Friday! I'm so excited. Btw, this is AMAZING!!

  • I like it! :D

  • wow, it,s a really hard piece to do, so congrats! it<s really well. . . . a little slow, but REALLY GREAT! x3

  • this was really nice amadeus, really comforting.

  • @theycallmenavid .. that wasnt amadeus it waz pachelbel

  • @theycallmenavid ... thats y its called pachebel canon

  • @theycallmenavid ... but it waz nice :)

  • I thought it sucked.

  • What an honor! Thank you.

  • Pretty good, but i would want to hear it with more speed. Throw a little more rock in there and it be GOLDEN man.

  • beautifulll :')

  • I love how modest you are haha, this is great! Checked out your page, subscribed, and I really have enjoyed your work

  • Yea, very humble comments :)

  • I like it but i think fluctuations in the tempo would improve the feel of the piece

  • Yeah. . .people want to hear this song sound more like a romantic classical piece, rather than a chamber baroque piece. It's something that the purists would despise, but everyone else would love.

  • a little to much accent on the main melody at the beginning otherwise really nice

  • nice

  • ahahhhahaa

i dunno about the rest of u

but he can play better than me so what the heck

    GOOD JOB!!!!! :D

  • lol With patience and the proper guidance, you could play piano better than us all.

  • a little too automated and robotic. use more feeling next time.

  • I usually do, but as I explained earlier: the computer kept overheating, so after about 20 takes I lost a bit of my inspiration. lol If all goes well, i'll get a good live video up here sooner or later.

  • whats the tempo of this?

  • ~62 BPM.

  • hmm, honestly: i would say the bass is too jittery, especially the beginning should be slowly, and no appecio's. Then for the melody, on some parts the attratction of the melody are the strings playing in thirds, which you totally missed. Furthermore its a very VERY straight piece of music, so no change in tempo, its a canon, every part must be same tempo. (i'm from germany, not sure whether i got all expressions right).

And i do know this inside out, i play it on piano and organ ^^

  • Most people complained that this version sounds too mechanical when I played it at one tempo. I made the arpeggiations from the pizzocato/harpichord part of the score, and I am playing the first and second violin thirds at the beginning. In the rest of the melodies i'm adding in the inverted 6th from the second violins, so simulate the violins still playing and so on. It's still not completely possible to play every melody at once with two hands on the same instrument, though. I need a quartet.

  • This is very nice an smooth! Nice arrangement.

  • Thanks. I've long since added in a couple of improvised melodies here and there, and worked on the dynamics and tempo variations quite a bit. IF all goes well i'll post a video of me playing it Carnegie Hall with a string section. Kehehehehe

  • meh...

  • lol You found my arrangement shallow and pedantic.

  • Na dude, I think that on that day I had posted sooooooo many comments that I was left out of words for this one. Or I was probably sick. No offence, you are actually good at it. Keep it up bud!

  • (quote Family Guy) "Hmm, yes, I agree. Shallow and Pedantic" lol, you play amazingly.

  • lol Thanks. If you didn't like it, I would have told you to bite my shiny metal ass.

  • im might be getting a piano this christmas, and I hope to learn how to play, my school music teacher is going to teach students how to play, read and write which ever type of instrument they choose.

very well played :D *clap and cheer* -pure

  • you are awesome man, i've started sudynig piano 1 month ago,and I would love to play this song as well as you

  • Never lose inspiration.

  • Nice timing!

  • I believe i've gotten alot better at this song lately. Everybody that commented should definitely come over and let me know i fit sounds any better.

  • This is... kind of good

your fingers semes a little stiff, they don't look relaxed enough to play with feeling, and in a slow version you HAVE TO play with feeling, it sounded almost mechanic, in a way. But hey, that's a keyboard and not a piano... i think... if it is a piano you have to learn how to play "with your fingertips"... with feeling, that means soft at times and hard at times, not the same throughout the whole song.

Hope you get better ^^ have a good one!

  • Right. I said it before and i'll say it again: 4 pre-recorded samples that are stretched and looped with no resonance to speak of. Of course it's not going to give the song justice. . .even if it was a real piano, Yamaha's are terrible for classical. . .one of the better budget digitals, though.

  • Great Version 5/5 Nice work.

I loved it until 2:35 when it slows down and becomes repetitive. Check out the ending on

the Cannon in D posted by jonhing

If you can make the end a bit less dull I think this version would be even better.

  • Very good... I learned this song recently... I'll maybe post it as a response and let you hear my little arrangement of it :)

    Great job tho! :D

  • you rock man!!!!!!!! i even put this video in my friendster profile..!!!!!!

  • Thanks, redveniz! Now your profile is classy and relaxing.

  • your hands kinda look like spiders... :)

  • I know. . .perfect for Halloween!

  • nicely played very relaxing to listen to

  • nice one ol kiddie

  • Thank you, old spice! Rather, rather pip pip.

  • you play the piano really well. Are you able to send the sheet music for this piece to me? Thanks.

  • Very nice

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Supah cool

  • Uh'thank you.

  • This is Lee Galloway's version? Or you edited it?

  • this is my own arrangment done by ear. I added in all the harmony and condensed it to roughly two, or three melodies played by both hands.

  • I think Petaah thought you had two right hands because your pinky kind of looks like a thumb on your left hand. x_x Very well played.

  • lol Yes, my fingers are alot longer than normal. I can play the piano from across the room if I feel like it. :-P I have noticed that I kind of have trouble curling my pinkey finger in (especially while playing the black keys), so I just go with what feels natural to me. I'm glad you liked the performance.

  • Well played. Smooth and beautiful. Your hands look good for an 87 year old

  • great

can u send me the music sheets?

    i really need it.

    nixangelo@yahoo,com

  • No sheet music, sorry.

  • *sniff* this is truly beautiful!!!!! it made me cry :'^(

  • @ oOXahrasOo: Aww i'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • And be happy cuz it's very hard to make me cry! ^.^ I love this song!!!! *squeeee*

  • hehe glad you like it oOXahrasOo.

  • cool arrangement..love it..would you mind sending me a copy??tnx^^..

  • is it just me or does this guy have two right hands?

    sound great though... ^^

  • lol Two right hands? My thumb is clearly placed differently on my left hand so i'm not sure how you got that? Thank you, though (I think?)

  • I like this song.

  • What Is The Music Sheet For This

    Please Send It To Me

    lovin-october@hotmail dot co dot uk

  • if you play piano you will know she have really put lots of fellings in it.

    good job!

  • Huh? I'm a guy. lol Thank you, though.

  • i agree :P i play piano too and i can play this song as well. the way i play it though doesnt flow as good as this one. i havent practiced it in a while though because i played it a while ago...now im in the middle of learning to play my immortal by Evanescence

  • I play My Immortal as well. . .I played it on stage before with a singer. If I can get a decent cam i'll upload it here.

  • OMG YOU DID!! sweet!

  • Sure. The only problem is I have no one to sing it for me. If I upload it would anyone be willing to overdub vocals?

  • i cant sing for the life of me soo...heh not me :D

  • I agree - put some feeling into the playing!!

  • You played in beautifully....truely.

  • Hey, that's pretty good!

  • it's beautiful. BUT could be played with more emotions, really.

  • this song is really beautiful!!!keep up the awesome work!

  • you're really good!!! could yo sen me the music-sheet of this piece to my e-mail? thanks!!!

  • Very well done, but a little slow.

  • lol isn't it Comrade not Commrade?

  • yes but you have to be unique :P

  • lol nice!

  • i have made probably 3 different variations of canon in d. your variation is very creative and pleasant to listen to. good job

  • Thanks alot. . .it's impossible to really play everything with two hands on one instrument, so I had to get creative. lol

  • i completely luv this song! keep up the good work

  • very nice, would you mind emailing me a copy of the notation please?!

thank you and keep it up!

  • hey lan light, you can prolly google this sheet music. I got mine from that :o

  • very nice!

  • diferrent version ffrom mine...n u play much better than me too!:D

  • Hey, now! Playing better is all a matter of perspective. If it's any consolation, the average 90 year old lady can sight-read better than I ever can, or probably ever will.

  • wow, nice, i'm gonna be learning this piece next week, well re learning it, from a different sheet.

  • nice

  • It's very nice, but maybe if you put some more feeling into it...

  • Very nicely done. Enjoyed it very much.

  • Thank you very much.

  • thats pretty good man if you guys want to see a great arrangement and music video along with it check out this channel i think it was the haygoods they had a pretty sick music vid and arrangment

  • Siendo mucho come'sta? Mi taco es grande! j/k I understood like three words that you said, and thank you.

  • very nice--I love playing this song too.

I play both violin and piano.

  • Out of every person that of which i have seen so far you are the 2nd best piano player i've seen. 2nd to an actualy orchastra - no comparison in that. So, I call you claim 1st

  • Well if I understand your comment correctly, I appreciate that greatly. ..unless you're calling me a second-rate pianist. lol

  • No. . . I said that you're prolly the 2nd best piano player i've ever seen. But only 2nd to an actual, and entire orchestra. =p i think i had just came from playing football so i wasn't typing ok.

  • lol No, Raidereric I was joking with you. See? :-D Thanks again.

  • hi! can you send me a sheet of this song??please i am only 14years old boy willing to play this song.. please

  • Hey, this version's not bad.

    i like the initials.

but the ending parts are abit slow.

overall i think it's very good, though i don't know how to play the piano =p

  • this is so nice !!

continue your great job ! x)

  • like it. you have good feeling. see if I can add violin on your arrangement.

  • Huh, not terrible. I thought you could have done some more impressive changes in your dynamics, though. The ending was anticlimactic...all of your build-up just kinda dropped off. Still, it's a nice-sounding arrangement. I personally would play it just slightly faster (especially the ending. That ritardando was too exaggerated for my tastes), but overall it wasn't a bad rendition.

Please keep in mind that all of my comments are personal opinion. Keep up the good work.

  • Oh, yeah. Like I siad I want peoples opinions. Also keep in mind that Windows Movie Maker has been giving me alot of problems, so I had to do about 40 takes to get that to record (all long, recorded takes - no splicing or editing). After I played it about 30 times and had the computer crash I started to get a little flustered. I normally arpeggiate the ending more than that, and the recording volume was a bit lower than I wanted.

  • Pssh, excuses =P I'm kidding, with all of those issues you did pretty well.

  • My next video's going to be like a still picture and me using piano giga samples instead, so watch out for that and please believe that it's actually me playing.

  • Nice job. But I've noticed you drop drop your wrist whenever you play a note, especially on the left hand and when you use the pinky.

  • nice job! cool arrangement - enough of your own personal touch to a flippin amazing song!

  • the ending sucked nice job anyways

  • sooooo peaceful love this song ^_^

  • this is amazing, not too fast too

  • very nice :) i do like the piano a lot and you played that very well. keep it up :)

  • Stately. With honor. Adagio. Almost allegro. Don't pay any attention to the ranting flamers you encounter on this two-bit site. Most are just jealous losers anyway.

  • awsome

  • nice tempo, i think. and my favorite one of the videos ive watched. it sounds most like the orchestra played version(note wise) that i first fell in love with.

  • This has always been my favourit song and listening to you play it reminds me of my boyfriend. It's lovely ,but you might speed up the tempo.

  • It sucks. Actually I don't know because I didn't watch it yet.

  • Sorry, not impressed... slow, unimpressive, and a honky-tonk piano *yawn*

  • lol Apparently you made your account just to tell me that. I feel am'the special now.

  • slickware ur so weird! the piano is a great instrument. its elegant and can enternain quite well. many famous composers played piano i.e. mozart, beetoven, bach

the piano can be played fast too. its very impressive if u played 4 a long time (like me! i played 8 years now) and its definetely not honky-tonk.

  • I'm 98% self taught.

  • I love this, well done ^^

  • Shoot, man, is your left pinky double-jointed? You got it pointing almost sideways! Scary claw pinky! :)

  • No, but I do have weird fingers. My middle and ring fingers on my left hand are the exact same length. The only person on record to be like that was Arthur Rubinstein, the pianist.

  • the ending sounds weird to me, never heard it like that, but the rest is great.

  • that was cool

  • This was pretty nice for piano. Usually some metal dude is playing it.

  • lol you mean like the Asian guy playing it on guitar? I also arranged this for acoustic guitar, but you'd need at least 3 guitars in order to get all the melodies/chords

  • Wow....well done...<3

  • hehe thank you, Vikki

  • dis song makes me cry its so emotional

  • You did a great job man, keep it up! :)

  • a'thank you.

  • The piano seems to be a smidge out of tune, unless I'm just hearing things.

  • lol Yamaha sampled the piano at perfect tuning for this board. Yamaha piano just have crappy tones to begin with.

  • since you want ppl to leave comments id just say one thing that would make it more better is have one of your friends to do the song with you on a diffrent instrument so id be like a duet...

  • But that would defy the point in arranging it for solo piano, now wouldn't it? =)

  • yeah but the video isnt titled solo piano just cannon in D on piano... idk it was just a suggestion that would sound good

  • Anyway congrat.. nice work..

  • You can play as expresive as a concert piano in a digital one.. I have a privia Px-410 from casio, and sounds better than a acoustic piano (a small one).. and that's does not look like a digital piano.. look like a keyboard.. does it have hammer action keys?

  • Yamaha P-60, and if you think a plastic key with a plastic weight on it playing a looped sample is as expressive as a concert grand, then you should try playing a concert grand piano with me for a couple hours. :-D

  • haha i have played i concert grand.. and mi privia Px-410 has the same weight.. the hammer action is the same... really.. and if you don't believes me, just try to play a privia.. and again.. nice work Amadeus Mozart :P

  • yeah! I love this song! :D

  • I got that in sheet music. Also you start an octave higher (according to the stuff I have). But pretty good besides that.

  • haha i am learning cannon in D as well on a keyboard bt i always get stuck when i reaches the part b4 the chorus haizzzzzzzz feel like stabbing myself

  • nice, i like to play piano also, but i just know one hand, can u teach me? i wish to learn piano and break dance, but i 0 knowledge about this. isn't the concept same like typing?

  • A break dancing pianist?! That'd make a mint.

  • Duhorn: Let's see how expressive you can play on a Yamaha digital piano compared to a responsive concert piano.

  • Eh... to me it's a little slow. In addition, when you're not playing the 16th notes, it's choppy... sorta I don't know how to put it into words... like I feel the weight of each note when I should just be hearing the phrase, you know? Your tempo is erratic and I personally don't like the suspensions you added. You're doing well! Keep up with your musical studies!

  • lol Don't thank me, thank YOU for watching/listening.

  • SWEET!!! Beautifully done, thanks for sharing your talent. (:

  • ur pretty good at piano! you should be proud. Like, I suck at piano. =( but ur so good. :) you could play more lively songs too.
