  • Not the Gershwin Who Cares from Of Thee I Sing.

  • @GeoStrum3 Actually this predates the Gershwin song with the same title.

  • Superb early Jolson! When I saw Ruby Keeler she said that Al was the greatest entertainer in the world, and she knew it was true...(pause)..because HE TOLD HER he was! We all laughed at how humorously she had summed up his big ego. She was most kind of him when she talked about her years as his wife. Such a rare and wonderful Jolson record! Thanks for sharing!

  • @2reeler He may have had a big ego but in my mind he was the greatest in the 1920s. How tough it must have been for him as Ruby's career blossomed and his diminished in the 1930s.

  • Great recording Bill- Thanks for the lyrics!

  • @UkesterBrown You're welcome Dave! You might notice that Jolson improvises on the lyrics at certain places.

  • Great job, and nice pictures - was he ever that young. I think this had a revival in the mid 20's.

  • @HarborGuy I do know that the Gershwins had a different song with the same title in their musical "Of Thee I Sing".
