I saw her a few years ago with Bob Dylan. I confess I wasn't familiar with her music because i tend to avoid contemporary or pop music. I was absolutely wrong. I was completely blown away, engaged, mesmerized. I will no longer assume that just because an artist is current, there music is commercial fodder. As good as this concert in NY was, (and it was very good), she's performed even better ones, including a tremendous Hammerstein Ballroom appearance in 1997 or so (though most recent appearance at Hiro Ballroom in 2008 or so was only soso)...would love to see her tour again.

This song was the first song inducted into my personal pop/rock single hall of fame back in 1986 - to get in a song has to send me when I first experience it and then send me again over a decade later - Natalie is one of 20 inducted into my personal female pop/rock recording artist hall of fame.
