It would be great if Kel-Tec were to create a PLR-16/22 version where all the firer has to do is swap out bolt assembly groups and magazines to change from 5.56x45mm to 22 Long Rifle. You can buy adapters for AR-15's to do the same thing already. Kel-Tec would sell a lot more guns. We'd have a lot more fun.
How do you find the ddab sight? I just ordered one and I read some nasty reviews. I am just going to be using it for my ruger 22 45 and I have heard it is hard to keep the zero. What is your experience with it? Also check my channel for never before seen combat footage in Afghanistan taken by myself and my platoon.
i got a plr 16 last year at a gun show, flawless weapon. im definitely gonna pick one of these up now, .22's are wayyy cheaper (box of 20 .223s $10) (box of 500 .22s $20). I wanna see someone use a GAT trigger on one of these, it works perfect on my 10/22
what is the point in having a .22 version of this gun? the plr 16 that fires the .223 is the only way in my oppinion this gun can be fun, as far as the bad ass part goes.... i could see you getting one if you have a small kid, or you just like .22's but if you havnt tried the .223 version yet, try it!
do those UTG lasers (walk) at all from there (zero') after a few rounds? or do they stay sighted in where u adjust them on the gun?....thanks for the feed back, thinking about buying one for my weapon
@kyle82386 I can vouch that the UTG holds its zero on the PLR-22. However, I can't vouch for anything in a higher caliber. It does seems to be fairly sturdy though. One thing worth noting: the pressure switch works GREAT...the pushbutton is JUNK...I received a replacement button from UTG and it broke too. Best of luck if you buy one!
@statefanman76 I'm afraid you were misinformed at the gun shop. Putting the forend on either the PLR-22 or the PLR-16 is not illegal. Putting a vertical pistol grip on the forend of either pistol classifies it as a AOW (Any Other Weapon). Putting a stock on the rear of either pistol classifies it as a SBR (Short Barrel Rifle). Both of these options are legal with the proper tax stamps. I hope this helps! Enjoy your PLR-22!!!
@BlazinX I'll try to get another video next time out. I realized right as I was ready to unload my last mag that we hadn't made any videos yet! Bullets fly when you're having fun!
I have it's mama, the PLR-16 in .223, its daddy, the SU-16 in .223, and its brother, the SU-22 in .22 LR. I think I might need to get the PLR-22. Collect the whole set!
I'm also saving my lunch money for a Kel-Tec PMR-30, which also looks too cool for school.
@Liberty4Ever I have the P3AT and hope to have the PF-9 soon...both in Hard Chrome. I'm VERY happy with the PLR-22 and think I'll have a lot of fun with this MAN pistol...LOL!!!

I was told at the gun shop when I bought my PLR 22 that the forends on the front violate federal law cause it turns it into a short barrel rifle.

How old do you have to be in order to buy this gun? Im 19
andrewvanrhoberts 1 year ago
This is considered a pistol and not a long rifle. Therefore, you must be 21 to purchase a PLR-22. Just a couple more years and you can join the fun!

Nice setup. Are you going to post any more vids of it?
