Republicans: Respecting our soldiers as long as they're male, straight, and don't end up writing books about the horrors of war (ahem kurt vonnegut ahem ahem).
so then if Keith was prez would he overturn the ban on gay men cant give blood? if not, then why can they serve in the military? doesnt the military go out in the middle of nowhere and in times of need of blood need to use who they have on the spot? then what? call for a redcross rush delievery? I mean I dont even see the ignorance. its STUPID
Can't serve unless we're invisible. Can't be on a campaign steering committee. Can't get married unless we lie. We can get fired from a job/discharged if we tell. Don't need to do anything. Just tell someone you have a husband, not a wife. We can pay taxes. Can die in combat and the flag isn't given to our family. Can pay Social Security, but not get survivor benefits. Don't get full veterans benefits. Sounds like slavery to me. From the same group with the same "reasons."
Slavery? I would imagine there are alot of Blacks that would totally disagree with you. Quit feeling so sorry for yourself. If you are so unhappy with the USA, you could leave. Of course, I would not go to Iran. They don't have Gays there, or at least they don't anymore.
Amusing to watch all these civilians lionizing this phony asswipe who exaggerates his "service" beyond belief. He served 2 yrs as a clerk in the Army (1953), and then only WEEKEND duty at the Armory in San Francisco (Natl Guard), pushing paper. He retired as a colonel, and that "general" he claims is a state honorary title not even recognized by the Army or the Fed. govt. And since he was strictly peacetime, his only "decoration" was the sequins on his high heels at the annual Drag Queen Ball.
I'm sorry but I don't understand the whining about this by partisans, you really sound like a bunch of babies. Many of the GOP candidates constantly bash Clinton & that's fine but when someone supporting her asks a question you start wringing your hands? It really is pathetic to have such thin skin. There's so much more to be concerned about than this.
Truth? Nice non-response to my point (that GOP partisan hacks are a bunch of cry babies regarding who's asking questions at a debate). Evidently some are also not very intelligent. BTW if you think it's so bad for GOP candidates to handle questions from an American with an opposing view, maybe fighting terrorism might be a little too much to ask of them.
Listen bm mudu, They answered all the questions, that were given them, even though they were all BS questions. Did you even watch the debate? Actual question to Hitlery at debate: "Hitlery do you prefer diamonds or pearls". Answer: "I want both". But you probably think that is a excellent Presidential question.
I did watch the GOP youtube debate but not the Dem youtube debate. I'm not sure I get you point though. Asking Clinton about diamonds or pearls sounds like BS to me but you label the questions asked at the GOP as BS. I think you've got that backwards.
ymmudu, again, like so many leftists here, you completely ignore the clearly stated issue. The topic of gays in the military is important. The undercover sneaky man-hole loving general who concealed his affiliation with Clinton's campaign did not belong in a republican primary forum. EVEN ANDERSON COOPER SAID SO. If you watch repub primary debates, these issues are being discussed. Stealth general certainly not very honest or 'transparent', is he?
Lalaland, thank you for finally speaking to the issue of dirty tricks.
As for my opinion, I am glad to discuss it here. I just need to know if you will conduct an intelligent discussion with me (point and counterpoint) or if this will become a leftist mud slinging assault.
Emma, I'm an undeclared voter, sometimes confused with independent and have never been a member of any political party. You seem to have misconceptions. BTW, how's the weather in the Boston area?
I'm sorry but I don't understand the whining about this by partisans, you really sound like a bunch of babies. Many of the GOP candidates constantly bash Clinton & that's fine but when someone supporting her asks a question you start wringing your hands? It really is pathetic to have such thin skin. There's so much more to be concerned about than this.
Next question: Did you at any time disclose to CNN your connections to the Clinton campaign? Next question; Why did you deliberately decide to not be forthcoming about your relationship with the campaign? Next question: Did CNN at any time ask you about your relationship with the campaign? CNN is pathetic; they surely knew. What a lame ass attempt to cover their own.....
What is the fact that Kerr is connected to Clinton has anything to do with his question?
Another question:
Which is more pathetic? CNN for allowing Kerr to ask his question or the people who keep whining about Kerr's connection with Clinton to distract us from his question?
lalaland, the question is a good one. It was a setup but it was a good question. That is NOT the issue. The issue is dirty politics. He is a liberal and a Clintonista, and did not disclose this. CNN who surely vets every rat that runs the rafters did not intercept this 'under the radar' attempt by a liberal to invade a party debate. Dirty politics. Did the repubs plant 5 questions in any of the dem debates, as the dems did in this one? Show me proof; the answer is NO.
But invading another party's forum IS DIRTY POLITICS. Obviously Kerr knew this or he wouldn't have kept his alliance a secret. Now click your heels together three times and repeat after me, "there's no place like home, there's no place like home, ....."
i don't really understand the problem. somebody asked a simple, fair question at a debate. Clearly, CNN is conspiring to get Clinton into the White House....
A Thought...What is the chance that someone from Operation Rescue could ask Hillary Clinton a question about Partial Birth Abortion and get away with it at CNN?
I seriouly doubt that CNN had no idea of the connection between Hillary and this General. Within hours after the debate, it was researched and found out by bloggers. Also, I have descovered that the majority of questions selected by CNN were in fact asked by KNOWN and ADMITTED supporters of Democratic candidates. How could CNN screw up THIS BIG?!?!?
Man...these guys should stay away from controversy he should've known that they would have found this out..Even though there's no weight to the argument but that doesn't disregard his question even if he is or isn't someone with a bias working for another campaign..Fox News chris Wallace and all other pundits put up questions that are controversial or devisive to find out what these candidates think about what has been said..SOft balls are a waste of time
Y'know, I'm not sure how the public is served by screening youtube questions so only loyal republicans lob softballs at the candidates. The public has always complained of candidate coddling in debates, what we clamor for are hard questions. I think it is appropriate for republicans to submit tough questions to democrats too.
Because this was a REPUBLICAN debate. They were there to debate REPUBLICAN issues. Save the Democrat sided questions for the general election debates AFTER the primaries.
lalaland: Time to learn about the nation you call yourself a citizen of. The ENTIRE primary process is exclusive to party. This is where each side selects their candidates. There is NO place in the primaries where the process is bipartisan. Nice try; you are either extremely ignorant or downright dishonest and sneaky. As to Kerr's comments, I wish HE had been transparent (as he cites at the end).
411 for lalaland: Not every republican watches Fox, not every democrat watches CNN. The debate is on CNN for the sake of making money; that is what cable TV is in business for. The debates are on Youtube because people want to post them there. Ask the posters why they do this if you really want to know.
A simple answer from a simple mind. No point in continuing the dialogue with you lalaland. We are a nation of rules and our political process has rules. I don't pretend to know Indonesian process, but I know our own. Any you don't and you evidently don't want to find out. As I said earlier, people choose ignorance. Too bad; tends to make one irrelevant.
As far as I know, Kerr did not violate a law. Instead, CNN and Kerr were complicit in violating the accepted practices of the primary debates. It is DIRTY POLITICS. The dems and reps put the gloves on and have at it after the primary elections. Until then, the process is by party, within the party. It is a matter of disrespect and malevolent intent. At one time we were a nation of honor, rules and respect. Now we are a nation where anything goes....
Not sure why the idea of respect for process, respect for rules, respect for others is such a hard idea for you. Not every accepted rule of behavior in the US is enforced with a law. Most of our behavior is dictated by simple respect. CNN and Kerr showed no respect to the republicans. Instead they crossed accepted rules of process in an underhanded way. As for Rove, what are you talking about? You sound like a blogging leftist. Give me facts lalaland.
lalaland, don't know if you are in the US or merely admiring from afar. Here is reality clue: the leftist blogging community that villifies Rove, Cheney, Bush are a minority of wack jobs and haters. Their anti-Bush venom is merely a redux of 1960's anti-american vomit. They have no respect for our nation, our traditions, or our leaders. But our system allows for them to change it through political involvement and the ballot box. PART I
PART II: People who don't like what is going on do eventually bring change, an important and needed component of a free society. But that change can come without the hatred, animosity, and without degrading our nation. You and they and Burnett show complete disrespect for our systems and our nation. You don't have to like Rove, don't make yourself as ugly as you think he is by using hatred, venom and vitriole to divide people.
"You and they and Burnett show complete disrespect for our systems and our nation. You don't have to like Rove, don't make yourself as ugly as you think he is by using hatred, venom and vitriole to divide people".
Well i agree with you on this one. America needs to move on (Heh heh) from divisiveness.
Ty for the spelling correction. I type 120 wpm+ and often miss errors. As to divisiveness, sounds like we agree. The greatness of the US due to a system that allows different voices to work together towards common good. We may never agree on philosophical ideas, but we have the opportunity to effect change. Just doesn't have to include the hate speech that is so prevalent currently. Calling our president a 'monkey' on international broadcasts is small example of how ugly BOTH SIDES can be.
As for the Rove interview, two responses: 1) not sure the point you attempt to make; and 2) give me a link to the speech so I can hear it and understand your point.
lalaland, I had not seen that interview nor read about Rove's forthcoming book. His comments seem indefenseable unless he is going to assert that repubs on Capitol Hill pushed for the accelerated pre-election vote. I would argue, tho, that Rove is more reflective of the trend and tone than a causality. Both sides r sneaky, dishonest, disingenuous. Gut response: Rove is lying. Will wait to read his defense of his comments for final judgement.
An Independent is someone who is too embarrassed to say he is a Democrap. I am a Republican, and not embarrassed. My husband, who is a Democrat, has been telling people he is Independent, too.
"An Independent is someone who is too embarrassed to say he is a Democrap".
Gee and here i thought independent are people with conservative values but do not hate gays nor people who aren't white and aren't afraid of feminists.
BTW does this mean you think O'Reilly a secret democrat as well? Heh heh.
Very simplistic perspective lala, but not real. I completely reject the gay lifestyle and do not believe sexual deviancy merits political considerations but I do not hate gays. Just like I disagree with the philosophy of the dem party but do not hate most dems. Also reject feminist politics but love women. So, lalaland, evidently you think wrong about many things.
I don't hate gays or non-whites. I, as an American citizen, have the right to complain just the same as anyone else, without being called racist. When my son was young I would go to the class and help the teacher with the kids. My son went to a small school that was half white and black. I helped ALL the kids. Black or White, good or bad. When I see them, they will still come up and give me a hug. Dems are the party of haters.
Then why are you calling names like "democrap" and "white trash" hmm?
"Dems are the party of haters".
Really? Then how come the minority and the poor prefer dems over republican?
Is it because dem's socialist bent or is it because dem ACTUALLY care about America and what makes her great like Civil Liberty, Freedom of Speech, Habeas Corpus etc?
DEMOCRAP is the word I feel fits the Party. They are destroying our country. Let's see, what about how Dems said "Throw Daddy out of the house and we'll give you Welfare money." Do you think the Black or White family has improved by having the father degraded. Liberal Judges letting child molesters off. AL Sharpton and Jessie Jackson. It's the White man that owes us. Don't take responsibility for yourself Party. We'll take care of you.
You do know that the Democraps were in control of the Congress and Senate when they created welfare. When they first gave out Welfare at the start, there could not be a man in the household. That is where I get "Throw Daddy Out". They changed it now, but it started the down fall of the father and the family.
Are you kidding me?!? Are you saying you believe welfare is good for the family? I helped in my son's class, and most of the kids in the class had no father in the house. The welfare kids were the kids that needed the most help. They were usually the most angry and violent children. Would you be happy, to be the one who got the free meal? Would you be proud to say your mom is on Welfare?
Because they are poor, and they want the hand-outs that the Democraps will give them. Republicans want you to be able to work and earn your own money. Which sounds better: "Mom is on welfare" or "Mom is at work". Do you really want a child to have to say his Mom is taken care of by the government?
Poor people aren't typically lazy people. And there are lots of lazy people who are well off. In fact, lots of people who work retail and hard labour are stuck in poverty and they are some of the hardest working people in society.
Which sounds better to you? "Mom has the opportunity to become financially independent" or "Mom is stuck in a low paying job because she can't afford to go back to school?"
Fox News has disgraced itself since its first minute on the air, shilling for every extremist right wing politician and crackpot cause in the country, and yet you don't bitch about their 24hr non-stop Republican agitprop. What's more, Kerr's question was perfectly legitimate, and that's what's really eating you nutbags!
What would really be cool is if the War Profiteers at Fox News including Boss Roger Ailes, and on air war mongers Hannitty, Kristol, Oreiley, and Britt get declared as dangers to themselves and are sent to institutions for the criminally insane.
Matthew Shepard has become a poster boy for the homosexual activists thanks to massive media attention. But what about Jesse Dirkhising? In the small town of Rogers, Arkansas, 13-year-old Jesse died a horrible death at the hands of two sodomites and almost nobody heard about it.
Referring to this evasive little shit as "Brigadier General, US Army) is simply fraud.
He was a retired, peacetime National Guardsman who never rose beyond Colonel, and any suggestion this fruit is or was a US Army general is simply a lie.
This "general" title is some State militia title that is not recognized by the Army. It's equivalent to an honorary degree from a college, or to Colonel Sanders' honorary title from the state of Kentucky.
Keith Kerr is a retired Brigadier General, USAR -- U.S. Army Reserve, to you.
Kerr was also a U.S. Army Colonel.
As you may or may not know, Army Reserves are fighting in Iraq as you babble. If Kerr was called up in his Reserve capacity, he would go as a Bridadier General.
Wackos never cease to amuse and disgust with their mindless attacks against patriotic Americans.
By the way -- Kerr has contributed no cash to the Clinton campaign. The last politician he funded was a Republican.
It was all Hitlery Clinton's doing. She is the worst person alive. She is a power hungry, never owned a house or a mortgage and living off lobbyist money, Rupert Murdock loving Socialist.
It turns out that Kerr is a member of Log Cabin Republicans. Maybe republican controlled FNC planted him and then tipped Bill Bennett off in order to hurt CNN's credibility. Now that's a conspiracy theory that I can believe.
This video makes it rather clear, he's not a plant. Hilliary only plants questions for herself using nobodys, and not at debates. That's good to know.
If the people who are going on about him being a plant are so worried then I guess they must know that this issue isn't favoring for the Republicans. How else could you explain them giving a damn?
If anyone is asking a question based on thier own personal views, it was this guy. He's gay an ex-military, for him the point is clearly relevant. It would actually be a tough question for Hillary as well, since her position on this is exactly the same a Romney's (Don't Change, Don't Fix).
It's only a tough question if you haven't a clue about the subject, which is why civilians should STFU about it.
That fruit is my blood bank in combat, for direct transfusion, and there's a good reason their "donations" are called "fruit juice" in the laboratory world.
Might as well load that spike with blood from the local crack whores, too .... NOT!
I don't know what the person views had to do with this. I guess this is some sort of argue that is attempting to make his question invalid; although if anything it just makes your post read awkward.
Maybe the Republicans should press this issue on the Democrats? That's pretty much what they did with Gay Marriage during the 2004 elections; however with this reaction they must know it's a dead issue or the stance makes them look bad.
Uh, Giulani got temp deferment for school, ended up reclassified 1A, Romney got temp deferment for religious activity, ended up reclassified 1a, and Tancredo sought and gained perm deferment for prior emotional/mental issues for which he had been treated. None broke the law, two of the three ended up classified as most eligible (1A), and were subject to the same draft I was. But you miss the point; none were troops. Kerr was a troop. Your cited 3 broke no law.
Coy those guys spoke tough on matters of defense and counter terrorism while the truth is when the country ask them to serve they turn tail and dodge the draft (legally of course).
Our government did not think it dishonorable when they allowed for it, as we still do. Should they have served? Yes, if their numbers had come up. For Giulani and Romney, their numbers did not come up. I was grateful that my number was a bit high and was not drawn. Would I have gone if my number had been drawn? YOU BET. Had planned to enlist in the Navy (parents served there) if drawn. Would these two have gone if drawn? Probably. To avoid THEN would have been wrong.
lalaland, you read into my words things that I do not say. You are a simple minded leftist. I did not say I like Romney and Giulani. I merely gave a factual, objective response and then my own opinion about your allegations of draft dodging. Pay attention dolt, I support NEITHER of those two. As far as Ron Paul is concerned, he is a scary individual whose only role in the election will be as a spoiler if he runs as independent after he gets his butt kicked in the primaries.
Did you forget that the republican congress OBSTRUCT Bill with the cockamame impeachment and he still manage budget surplus, low unemployment and high economy.
Clinton cut the FBI, CIA, Military, and every protection we had to achieve this. He passed our weaken country on to George Bush. Osama had been attacking us throughout Clintons term, but Clinton treated it as a police action. What do you think Sandy Berger was trying to hide from us by stuffing in his pants?
"Osama had been attacking us throughout Clintons term, but Clinton treated it as a police action".
Really?
Aside from 93 WTC attack the rest of terrorist attack in America during Bill's term are from homegrown CHRISTIAN terrorists (And please don't twist this as a sign that i hate Christian would you Emma?).
FACTS: Kerr DOES NOT work for Clinton & IS NOT on Clinton's steering committee(he had worked for Kerry & was on Kerry's steering committee)He supports Clinton & is only one of nearly FIFTY co-chairs of "Veterans and Military Retirees for Hillary" So what? Let the candidates answer his question & then he can decide if he still wants to support Clinton. That's why people ask questions. What are you are whining about?
ymmudu FACTS: Kerr withheld critical information of his alliance with Clinton's campaign that would have most certainly disqualified his question from the debate. The primaries ARE NOT BIPARTISAN. They are strictly PARTY POLITICS for each side to pick their own candidate. For being a mighty Brig Gen, he is far from honest. He was sneaky and CNN is complicit. They surely knew as well.
lalaland, what the heck are you talking about? Do you know how stupid you sound? Sometimes is better to keep one's mouth closed and be thought the fool than it is to open it and remove all doubt. The primaries by RULE are not bipartisan. Are you even old enough to vote yet? I hope not, for the sake of the rest of us.
Again, do you know how stupid you sound? Freedom of speech is not a blanket license for anybody to go anywhere and say anything. Rather, it is a right that comes with responsibility, and as with any right, it is not limitless. The rules of the primaries are clear, accepted and understood. Once the primary elections are held, then all is fair in love, war and politics. Again, your ignorance is showing.
Thank you for asking. My answer is YES. If you cannot tell by now, I am a man of rules, principle and process. I would be this stringent if the situation was reversed. I have previously asked to be shown if the repubs have indeed pulled the same shenanigans. The fact that nobody has yet shown it to be the case leads me to believe that the dems have the corner on dirty politics (with the assumption that CNN has a dem slant... which their practices betray).
Don't you get it Looney lelo? If the Replubicans had planted questions like the Democraps did, then it would be blasted all over the Leftist news media. Remember Sandy Berger? Your media made that CRIME disappear! I can't even count how many Dem's went on T.V. and said that Sandy Burgler was just "Sloppy",when he put the papers down his pants!
OK, just went to lalaland's youtube page. Now I see just what she is. Foreigner from backwards third world country who is as ignorant about life, science, and american politics as can be expected. Sorry for the harsh treatment. Not that I know you are a moron, lalaland, I will be much kinder to you. But STFU about US issues, you stupid ignoramus.
Perhaps but I will say this. Not all foreigners are naive and ignorant as to American politics and culture. Ignorance is generally a choice. I have dear friends who r foreign nationals and are better informed than I. As to your question, I think you are ignorant (I said your NATION is backwards, which it is) and that because your comments expose such. You ideas expose the typical leftist thought that is out of context with historical realities.
No, the idea that we follow rules, that we respect accepted processes. The idea that a major cable network should be above board and honest. The idea that the phrase 'a concerned unaffiliated voter' means just that and not a plant from the other side. The idea that everything has its time, but not every time is for everything. Western thought; I wouldn't expect you to get it. Good thing because you obviously don't.
AND FACT: Kerr lent his name to the the CLinton campaign, therefore he is working for the Clinton campaign. He is on record as a supporter and committee member. This makes him a liar and dishonest. Reminds me of the debate over the word 'is.'........... What do they say about birds of a feather?
You are preaching to the choir about Giulani. The man cannot even manage a family after four attempts.... and he has shown moral failings in breaking his vows repeatedly, even while still married. As to veracity of question, READ MY LIPS: the question was good but not the issue. DIRTY POLITICS is the issue. This was PRIMARY debate, NOT BIPARTISAN. CNN allowed FIVE questions from dem workers in a strictly repub debate. Not right, not fair. THAT is the issue.
Now let me ask you lalaland. You do not interact with my ideas or facts. You infer, imply, obfuscate, etc., but where is your response about rules, honor, integrity, honesty? Instead of even discussing these fundamental ideas, you point out people who violate them. We all know that people violate these ideas; that does not invalidate their significance. Where is your ability to get to the heart of issues? Are you simply unable to conduct cogent intelligent dialogue?
We knew Hillary plants her own questions. It looks like she may be planting questions for the Republicans now as well. This exchange looks very scripted to cover for both Clinton and CNN. Wake up people, there is an obvious campaign to push a very liberal social agenda on the country. Pay attention to these things.
They pulled the question from the debate questions....ha ha ha. What an embarrassment. And to say Clinton didn't know, or that he's not done any work for the committee, is just a red herring, meant to distract from the real point.
what's the big deal? democrats aren't allowed to ask questions of the vaunted republican candidates?
Going back to the Democratic YT debate, I can think of at least 3 questions that probably came from Republicans: the gun guy who Biden called nuts, the anti-tax question, and the Iraq pull-out question.
LOL!!! not all leftist brah...but i do feel the same frustrations with my lefty friends....but i also get the same amount from my righty friends too so the door swings both ways.
Poonard, Thank God that someone else has figured out that left and right-wing extremists are equally annoying. But it's hard to believe that anyone argues with Hecko's point that it's usually easy to tell where a questioner is coming from just from the question and by the way they ask it. I guess that is unless you're an extremist?
If what you say is true ymmudu, then the american voting public is tragically stupid. I choose to believe, however, that most american voters who pay attention are issues voters of principle. They ask hard questions of their representatives. Not all questions are 'pearl or diamond' questions. Lets hope dems ask dems about controlling taxes and repubs ask repubs about controlling taxes. Both sides are horrifically guilty of stealing from us via taxes.
Well, here is the exact text of two of the questions, since you asked so nicely:
1) I'd like to know, if the Democrats come into office, are my taxes going to rise like usually they do when a Democrat gets into office?
2) To all the candidates: Tell me your position on gun control, as myself and other Americans really want to know if our babies are safe. This is my baby, purchased under the 1994 gun ban.
I don't think you can argue that these people are Democrats.
Nutjob, you are validating your name. Are telling me that dems are sheep who look forward to the higher taxes of dem administrations? Do all dems have too much money and pay too little tax? As for the gun issue, what was the party affiliation of the man of violence who invaded Hilary's office last week? Now, and again, deduction based on assumption proves nothing. GIVE US FACTS. Saying it don't make it so. You are proving my point.
I'm saying that a Democrat wouldn't ask the question in such a way. Both of these questions use right-wing frames - and I think it's fine that they do.
If any of the candidates wanted to screen questioners as you do, they shouldn't have agreed to go on the damn YT debate to begin with.
You assume a behavior set stereotypical of all or most dems. How can you justify that? Of course an angry democrat could ask the question in such a way. As to the gun guy on the dem youtube debate, that guy was a nutjob (no relation I suppose.... lol). So how was he any different from the wacko who walked into the Clinton office the other day? Come on, nutjob, people are people. Both parties have the satisfied and the dissatisfied. Don't presume the world (and your party) to be so simple.
Show me proof that the anti-tax questioner is an "angry democrat" Show me proof that the gun guy is a "nutjob." Or are you just making assumptions?
I agree that people are people. And I have no problem with either of those 2 asking questions in the debate. It is YOU who want to screen questions from Americans, not I.
The primary process is for PARTY MEMBERS to select THEIR OWN candidate. It is not a BIPARTISAN process. The homosexual man loving general is a democrat; he will not be voting in the republican primary. Instead of becoming a 'stealth' questioner in a forum he does not belong in, he should be interviewing his OWN candidates in his OWN party. Then, after the primaries, it is gloves off and have at it.
Get real. Independents and undecideds have valid questions (and votes in some states) during primary season. People can still even switch their party affiliation based on what they see during these debates.
Even Kerr is an independent. I assume he got involved on the committee because he cares deeply about the issue, and the Clinton campaign was the only one who bothered to ask him. If one of the candidates had answered as he wanted, maybe he WOULD have voted in the republican primary.
Kerr is anything but an independent. He was a member of the national steering committee for Veterans for Kerry, serves on Hilary's board, etc. We are not stupid, nutjob. Your attempt to excuse his covert intrusion into republican party debates is lame. He is a political figure with a pro-liberal leftist voice.
He is a registered independent. Look it up in the various coverage of him over this. I know several registered Republicans who are now disillusioned and are considering voting for a Democrat. Are you saying that they have to register as a Democrat before they are ALLOWED to ask any questions in the nationally televised debates?
No acknowledgement that Independents and party-members can still change their registrations from one party to another, or vote AS Independents in many of the primaries?
He may be a reg indpndent but he is a dmocratic operative in prctice. He is also not a republican, registered or in practice. Nutjob, I have never said people don't have a right to ask questions. Heck, I acknwledged the significance of the issue (homosexuals in the military). My point was and continues to be that the republican process is for repubs, just as the dem process is for dems. Kerr's history tells us he is not a repub nor is he bcoming one. He did not blong in the party event. Period.
coyeti: No acknowledgement that Independents and party-members can still change their registrations from one party to another, or vote AS Independents in many of the primaries, based in large part on how candidates answer these questions during nationally televised debates. Only VOTING in the Republican party is restricted to Repubs (and not in all cases, like NH). Up until that deadline, anyone can register as a Repub, so debates are for everyone.
Give me a break! Quit giving the girly general excuses for what he did. The leftist media gives him plenty already. I can't figure out why he is asking the Replublicans about "don't ask, don't tell",when it was a Democrap who made it law! If it wasn't for Glenn Beck I would never watch CNN(Clinton News Network).
That really surprises me, because a REAL military man would never demean his own country, dury a time of war. A REAL military man would not kiss the ass of every commie bastard out there. But Democraps do not have to have morals, just Republican, so they get a pass. I guess, it is a same as when you are mentally retarded, and they excuse your actions!
Where do you get the idea that communism is dead? Ask the Chinese who live under the thumb of communism. Ask the N Koreans who are dying of starvation. Ask the Cubans who live in abject poverty. Ask the Russians who are seeing a return of communist controls under Putin and his corrupt election from last week.
"Where do you get the idea that communism is dead?".
So Reagan didn't defeat evil communist Soviet after all? / sarc.
BTW where's your apology for your misinformation that Kerry hasn't release his military records while i have proven otherwise (Even though it's not all the records) if you are sooo honorable hmm?
first, Reagan defeated the soviet union by outspending them militarily and forcing the break up of the union. Communism was confronted and dismantled in many nations but is not yet crushed. Second, Kerry has not released ALL of his records. Again, the article YOU CITED states this. The records he has not released (post-active duty) include time frames from his protest activities.
AND AGAIN LALALAND: FROM A PRIOR POST: "A quote from the website you source: "UPDATE: The only apparent anomaly in the Form 180s is that they only authorize the release of Kerry's active duty records, not his reserve records. This could well be important, in that Kerry's antiwar activities occurred when he was a member of the reserves."
When will you admit you are wrong lalaland? I have stated all along that Kerry has not released all of his records. He admits that. The swift boaters state that. Only you are unable to admit that he hasn't been entirely forthcoming. Downright bizarre.....
I thought the original challenge was for someone, anyone, to definitively disprove any of the SBVT's accusations against Kerry. The Swiftboat guy backtracked on the challenge though when Kerry took him up on the offer.
Of course, I may be missing later developments - as I haven't been following it.
No, you got it right. Kerry offered to take him up on the offer last month. The 'swiftboat guy' then laid out the criteria (full disclosure since it is his million dollars) to insure that whatever refutation is forwarded cannot be disproven. To the best of my knowledge, Kerry hasn't yet released the rest of his military records or submitted his proof. WIll be interesting to watch develop.
Lalaland, I apologize for not being articulate enough with this earlier post you have cited. My comments presumed a common understanding that release of said records meant "all records."
I grovel at your feet for your forgiveness for presuming a common understanding. Herewith and forever, for all intents and purposes, I declare that Kerry has released SOME of his records, and Kerry has intentionally withheld SOME of his records.

Truth? Nice non-response to my point (that GOP partisan hacks are a bunch of cry babies regarding who's asking questions at a debate). Evidently some are also not very intelligent. BTW if you think it's so bad for GOP candidates to handle questions from an American with an opposing view, maybe fighting terrorism might be a little too much to ask of them.
ymmudu 4 years ago
Listen bm mudu, They answered all the questions, that were given them, even though they were all BS questions. Did you even watch the debate? Actual question to Hitlery at debate: "Hitlery do you prefer diamonds or pearls". Answer: "I want both". But you probably think that is a excellent Presidential question.
emmathird 4 years ago
Actually i dislike Hillary as well and i also agree the "diamonds or pearls" question is BS.
However distracting us from Kerr's question by badmouthing him because he somehow connected to Clinton is an even BIGGER BS.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago

Next question: Did you at any time disclose to CNN your connections to the Clinton campaign? Next question; Why did you deliberately decide to not be forthcoming about your relationship with the campaign? Next question: Did CNN at any time ask you about your relationship with the campaign? CNN is pathetic; they surely knew. What a lame ass attempt to cover their own.....
coyeti 4 years ago
Here's a question:
What is the fact that Kerr is connected to Clinton has anything to do with his question?
Another question:
Which is more pathetic? CNN for allowing Kerr to ask his question or the people who keep whining about Kerr's connection with Clinton to distract us from his question?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
lalaland, the question is a good one. Show me proof; the answer is NO.
coyeti 4 years ago

I seriouly doubt that CNN had no idea of the connection between Hillary and this General. Within hours after the debate, it was researched and found out by bloggers. Also, I have descovered that the majority of questions selected by CNN were in fact asked by KNOWN and ADMITTED supporters of Democratic candidates. How could CNN screw up THIS BIG?!?!?

benjie2429 4 years ago
Y'know, I'm not sure how the public is served by screening youtube questions so only loyal republicans lob softballs at the candidates. The public has always complained of candidate coddling in debates, what we clamor for are hard questions. I think it is appropriate for republicans to submit tough questions to democrats too.
GretchenDawntreader 4 years ago 3
Because this was a REPUBLICAN debate. They were there to debate REPUBLICAN issues. Save the Democrat sided questions for the general election debates AFTER the primaries.

lalaland: Time to learn about the nation you call yourself a citizen of. The ENTIRE primary process is exclusive to party. This is where each side selects their candidates. There is NO place in the primaries where the process is bipartisan. Nice try; you are either extremely ignorant or downright dishonest and sneaky. As to Kerr's comments, I wish HE had been transparent (as he cites at the end).
coyeti 4 years ago
"The ENTIRE primary process is exclusive to party".
Then why do they put the debate on CNN and YouTube?
If they want the debate for republican only they can always put it on Fox.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
411 for lalaland: Not every republican watches Fox, not every democrat watches CNN. The debate is on CNN for the sake of making money; that is what cable TV is in business for. The debates are on Youtube because people want to post them there. Ask the posters why they do this if you really want to know.

A simple answer from a simple mind. No point in continuing the dialogue with you lalaland. We are a nation of rules and our political process has rules. So.. Where's the legal repercussion/ lawsuit/ whatever?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
As far as I know, Kerr did not violate a law. Instead, CNN and Kerr were complicit in violating the accepted practices of the primary debates. It is DIRTY POLITICS. The dems and reps put the gloves on and have at it after the primary elections. Until then, the process is by party, within the party. It is a matter of disrespect and malevolent intent. At one time we were a nation of honor, rules and respect. Now we are a nation where anything goes....
coyeti 4 years ago
"As far as I know, Kerr did not violate a law".
You mean HE DIDN'T BREAK ANY LAW?!
So what's with all your whining?
And you think i'm ignorant?
"At one time we were a nation of honor, rules and respect. Now we are a nation where anything goes".
We got Rove to "thank" for that.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Not sure why the idea of respect for process, respect for rules, respect for others is such a hard idea for you. Not every accepted rule of behavior in the US is enforced with a law. Most of our behavior is dictated by simple respect. CNN and Kerr showed no respect to the republicans. Instead they crossed accepted rules of process in an underhanded way. As for Rove, what are you talking about? You sound like a blogging leftist. Give me facts lalaland.

PART II: People who don't like what is going on do eventually bring change, an important and needed component of a free society. But that change can come without the hatred, animosity, and without degrading our nation. You and they and Burnett show complete disrespect for our systems and our nation. You don't have to like Rove, don't make yourself as ugly as you think he is by using hatred, venom and vitriole to divide people.
coyeti 4 years ago
"You and they and Burnett show complete disrespect for our systems and our nation. You don't have to like Rove, don't make yourself as ugly as you think he is by using hatred, venom and vitriole to divide people".
Well i agree with you on this one. America needs to move on (Heh heh) from divisiveness.
BTW the right spelling is "vitriol".
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Ty for the spelling correction. I type 120 wpm+ and often miss errors. As to divisiveness, sounds like we agree. The greatness of the US due to a system that allows different voices to work together towards common good. We may never agree on philosophical ideas, but we have the opportunity to effect change. Just doesn't have to include the hate speech that is so prevalent currently. Calling our president a 'monkey' on international broadcasts is small example of how ugly BOTH SIDES can be.
coyeti 4 years ago
As for the Rove interview, two responses: 1) not sure the point you attempt to make; and 2) give me a link to the speech so I can hear it and understand your point.
coyeti 4 years ago
1) My point is Rove is one of the cause American politics is as dirty as it is right now.
2)YouTube:
"Karl Rove says he was opposed to politicizing Iraq war vote" v=gTqACtWRJT0&eurl

laleeloolelo 4 years ago
lalaland, I had not seen that interview nor read about Rove's forthcoming book. Will wait to read his defense of his comments for final judgement.
coyeti 4 years ago
Well it's good that you seem to see Rove for the liar that he is.
Perhaps there's hope for you yet.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago

No, what i'm saying is people are tired of "politics as usual" in the WH.
And most of those politics are perpetuated by people like Rove.

laleeloolelo 4 years ago
An Independent is someone who is too embarrassed to say he is a Democrap. I am a Republican, and not embarrassed. My husband, who is a Democrat, has been telling people he is Independent, too.
emmathird 4 years ago
"An Independent is someone who is too embarrassed to say he is a Democrap".
Gee and here i thought independent are people with conservative values but do not hate gays nor people who aren't white and aren't afraid of feminists.
BTW does this mean you think O'Reilly a secret democrat as well? Heh heh.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Very simplistic perspective lala, but not real. I completely reject the gay lifestyle and do not believe sexual deviancy merits political considerations but I do not hate gays. Just like I disagree with the philosophy of the dem party but do not hate most dems. Also reject feminist politics but love women. So, lalaland, evidently you think wrong about many things.
coyeti 4 years ago
Well Coy i suppose we just have to agree to disagree on what makes someone an independent then.
After all honorable people can disagree without becoming enemies right?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
I don't hate gays or non-whites. I, as an American citizen, have the right to complain just the same as anyone else, without being called racist. When my son was young I would go to the class and help the teacher with the kids. My son went to a small school that was half white and black. I helped ALL the kids. Black or White, good or bad. When I see them, they will still come up and give me a hug. Dems are the party of haters.
emmathird 4 years ago
"I don't hate gays or non-whites".
Then why are you calling names like "democrap" and "white trash" hmm?
"Dems are the party of haters".
Really? Then how come the minority and the poor prefer dems over republican?
Is it because dem's socialist bent or is it because dem ACTUALLY care about America and what makes her great like Civil Liberty, Freedom of Speech, Habeas Corpus etc?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
DEMOCRAP is the word I feel fits the Party. They are destroying our country. Let's see, what about how Dems said "Throw Daddy out of the house and we'll give you Welfare money." Do you think the Black or White family has improved by having the father degraded. Liberal Judges letting child molesters off. AL Sharpton and Jessie Jackson. It's the White man that owes us. Don't take responsibility for yourself Party. We'll take care of you.
emmathird 4 years ago
"Let's see, what about how Dems said "Throw Daddy out of the house and we'll give you Welfare money".
Emma what dem ever said that? If you're just making it up then it's slander.
And only hateful people engage in slander.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
You do know that the Democraps were in control of the Congress and Senate when they created welfare. When they first gave out Welfare at the start, there could not be a man in the household. That is where I get "Throw Daddy Out". They changed it now, but it started the down fall of the father and the family.
emmathird 4 years ago
"You do know that the Democraps were in control of the Congress and Senate when they created welfare".
What the eff does welfare got to do with "down fall of the father and the family"?
Do you have charts, statistic or expert opinion to back this BS?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Are you kidding me?!? Are you saying you believe welfare is good for the family? I helped in my son's class, and most of the kids in the class had no father in the house. The welfare kids were the kids that needed the most help. They were usually the most angry and violent children. Would you be happy, to be the one who got the free meal? Would you be proud to say your mom is on Welfare?
emmathird 4 years ago
Would you rather they don't have help at all?
Proud or not they need food and they need help.
If you don't want to help them that's your choice but don't hide your contempt for them by blaming their (lack of) father.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Because they are poor, and they want the hand-outs that the Democraps will give them. Republicans want you to be able to work and earn your own money. Which sounds better: "Mom is on welfare" or "Mom is at work". Do you really want a child to have to say his Mom is taken care of by the government?
emmathird 4 years ago
"Which sounds better: "Mom is on welfare" or "Mom is at work"".
Neither, both sounds fine for someone who doesn't hold contempt for poor people.
"Do you really want a child to have to say his Mom is taken care of by the government?".
No, i want a child to have parents that can put food on the table even if they need government help to do so.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Poor people aren't typically lazy people. And there are lots of lazy people who are well off. In fact, lots of people who work retail and hard labour are stuck in poverty and they are some of the hardest working people in society.

He knows this, and is hoping you don't.

Keith Kerr is a retired Brigadier General, USAR -- U.S. Army Reserve, to you.

"a tough question"
It's only a tough question if you haven't a clue about the subject, which is why civilians should STFU about it.

Your cited 3 broke no law.
coyeti 4 years ago
Coy those guys spoke tough on matters of defense and counter terrorism while the truth is when the country ask them to serve they turn tail and dodge the draft (legally of course).

laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Our government did not think it dishonorable when they allowed for it, as we still do. Should they have served? Yes, if their numbers had come up. For Giulani and Romney, their numbers did not come up. I was grateful that my number was a bit high and was not drawn. Would I have gone if my number had been drawn? YOU BET. Had planned to enlist in the Navy (parents served there) if drawn. Would these two have gone if drawn? Probably. To avoid THEN would have been wrong.

What are you are whining about?
ymmudu 4 years ago 2
ymmudu FACTS: Kerr withheld critical information of his alliance with Clinton's campaign that would have most certainly disqualified his question from the debate. The primaries ARE NOT BIPARTISAN. They are strictly PARTY POLITICS for each side to pick their own candidate. For being a mighty Brig Gen, he is far from honest. He was sneaky and CNN is complicit. They surely knew as well.
coyeti 4 years ago
"The primaries ARE NOT BIPARTISAN".
No, really?
So much for "uniter not a divider" huh?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
lalaland, what the heck are you talking about? Do you know how stupid you sound? Sometimes is better to keep one's mouth closed and be thought the fool than it is to open it and remove all doubt. The primaries by RULE are not bipartisan. Are you even old enough to vote yet? I hope not, for the sake of the rest of us.
coyeti 4 years ago
"The primaries by RULE are not bipartisan".
Yes the primaries aren't bipartisan BUT NOT THE QUESTION AT THE DEBATE!
There's this thing called freedom of speech perhaps you've heard of it?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Again, do you know how stupid you sound? Freedom of speech is not a blanket license for anybody to go anywhere and say anything. Rather, it is a right that comes with responsibility, and as with any right, it is not limitless. The rules of the primaries are clear, accepted and understood. Once the primary elections are held, then all is fair in love, war and politics. Again, your ignorance is showing.
coyeti 4 years ago
"The rules of the primaries are clear, accepted and understood. Once the primary elections are held, then all is fair in love, war and politics".
Coy will you still be this stringent if the situation is reverse?
If it was a "plant" question from someone who is affiliated with repub candidate at the dem debate?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Thank you for asking. My answer is YES. If you cannot tell by now, I am a man of rules, principle and process. I would be this stringent if the situation was reversed. I have previously asked to be shown if the repubs have indeed pulled the same shenanigans. The fact that nobody has yet shown it to be the case leads me to believe that the dems have the corner on dirty politics (with the assumption that CNN has a dem slant... which their practices betray).
coyeti 4 years ago
Don't you get it Looney lelo? If the Replubicans had planted questions like the Democraps did, then it would be blasted all over the Leftist news media. Remember Sandy Berger? Your media made that CRIME disappear! I can't even count how many Dem's went on T.V. and said that Sandy Burgler was just "Sloppy",when he put the papers down his pants!
emmathird 4 years ago
What's Sandy burger got to do with this?
Aren't you right winger tired of "but but Clinton" defense of the indefensible?
So Kerr affiliated with Clinton. SO WHAT?!
He still has his first amendment right to ask question in a PUBLIC debate.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
OK, just went to lalaland's youtube page. Now I see just what she is. Foreigner from backwards third world country who is as ignorant about life, science, and american politics as can be expected. Sorry for the harsh treatment. Not that I know you are a moron, lalaland, I will be much kinder to you. But STFU about US issues, you stupid ignoramus.
coyeti 4 years ago
"Foreigner from backwards third world country who is as ignorant about life, science, and american politics as can be expected".
So because i grew up in Indonesia you think i'm backward?
Oh boy i'm glad because this means the repub is going to lose big among Americans who aren't white.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Perhaps but I will say this. Not all foreigners are naive and ignorant as to American politics and culture. Ignorance is generally a choice. I have dear friends who r foreign nationals and are better informed than I. As to your question, I think you are ignorant (I said your NATION is backwards, which it is) and that because your comments expose such. You ideas expose the typical leftist thought that is out of context with historical realities.
coyeti 4 years ago
"You ideas expose the typical leftist thought that is out of context with historical realities".
Which idea?
The one where i think a citizen can ask the presidential candidate a legitimate question
regardless of his affiliation or sexual orientation?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
No, the idea that we follow rules, that we respect accepted processes. The idea that a major cable network should be above board and honest. The idea that the phrase 'a concerned unaffiliated voter' means just that and not a plant from the other side. The idea that everything has its time, but not every time is for everything. Western thought; I wouldn't expect you to get it. Good thing because you obviously don't.
coyeti 4 years ago
AND FACT: Kerr lent his name to the the CLinton campaign, therefore he is working for the Clinton campaign. He is on record as a supporter and committee member. This makes him a liar and dishonest. Reminds me of the debate over the word 'is.'........... What do they say about birds of a feather?
coyeti 4 years ago
"AND FACT: Kerr lent his name to the the CLinton campaign, therefore he is working for the Clinton campaign".
So? What does this have to do WITH THE VERACITY OF HIS QUESTION?!
"What do they say about birds of a feather?".
What do they say about Giuliani's friends Bernie Kerik and Alan Placa or Romney's ex friend Larry Craig?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
You are preaching to the choir about Giulani. The man cannot even manage a family after four attempts.... and he has shown moral failings in breaking his vows repeatedly, even while still married. As to veracity of question, READ MY LIPS: the question was good but not the issue. DIRTY POLITICS is the issue. This was PRIMARY debate, NOT BIPARTISAN. CNN allowed FIVE questions from dem workers in a strictly repub debate. Not right, not fair. THAT is the issue.
coyeti 4 years ago
Now let me ask you lalaland. You do not interact with my ideas or facts. You infer, imply, obfuscate, etc., but where is your response about rules, honor, integrity, honesty? Instead of even discussing these fundamental ideas, you point out people who violate them. We all know that people violate these ideas; that does not invalidate their significance. Where is your ability to get to the heart of issues? Are you simply unable to conduct cogent intelligent dialogue?
coyeti 4 years ago
"Our bad" for not doing the proper research? CNN...Clinton News Network only the best!

jimbojim68 4 years ago
We knew Hillary plants her own questions. It looks like she may be planting questions for the Republicans now as well. This exchange looks very scripted to cover for both Clinton and CNN. Wake up people, there is an obvious campaign to push a very liberal social agenda on the country. Pay attention to these things.

what's the big deal? democrats aren't allowed to ask questions of the vaunted republican candidates?
Going back to the Democratic YT debate, I can think of at least 3 questions that probably came from Republicans: the gun guy who Biden called nuts, the anti-tax question, and the Iraq pull-out question.
heckofanutjob 4 years ago 4
nutjob, two words. PROVE IT. I know it violates the practice of leftists, but SAYING IT SO don't make it so.

Poonard 4 years ago
Poonard, Thank God that someone else has figured out that left and right-wing extremists are equally annoying. But it's hard to believe that anyone argues with Hecko's point that it's usually easy to tell where a questioner is coming from just from the question and by the way they ask it. I guess that is unless you're an extremist?
ymmudu 4 years ago 2
If what you say is true ymmudu, then the american voting public is tragically stupid. I choose to believe, however, that most american voters who pay attention are issues voters of principle. They ask hard questions of their representatives. Not all questions are 'pearl or diamond' questions. Lets hope dems ask dems about controlling taxes and repubs ask repubs about controlling taxes. Both sides are horrifically guilty of stealing from us via taxes.
coyeti 4 years ago
Well, here is the exact text of two of the questions, since you asked so nicely:
1) I'd like to know, if the Democrats come into office, are my taxes going to rise like usually they do when a Democrat gets into office?
2) To all the candidates: Tell me your position on gun control, as myself and other Americans really want to know if our babies are safe. This is my baby, purchased under the 1994 gun ban.
I don't think you can argue that these people are Democrats.
heckofanutjob 4 years ago
Nutjob, you are validating your name. Are telling me that dems are sheep who look forward to the higher taxes of dem administrations? Do all dems have too much money and pay too little tax? As for the gun issue, what was the party affiliation of the man of violence who invaded Hilary's office last week? Now, and again, deduction based on assumption proves nothing. GIVE US FACTS. Saying it don't make it so. You are proving my point.
coyeti 4 years ago
I'm saying that a Democrat wouldn't ask the question in such a way. Both of these questions use right-wing frames - and I think it's fine that they do.
If any of the candidates wanted to screen questioners as you do, they shouldn't have agreed to go on the damn YT debate to begin with.
heckofanutjob 4 years ago
You assume a behavior set stereotypical of all or most dems. How can you justify that? Of course an angry democrat could ask the question in such a way. As to the gun guy on the dem youtube debate, that guy was a nutjob (no relation I suppose.... lol). So how was he any different from the wacko who walked into the Clinton office the other day? Come on, nutjob, people are people. Both parties have the satisfied and the dissatisfied. Don't presume the world (and your party) to be so simple.
coyeti 4 years ago
And again I ask, show me the proof that these two questioners or any others are republicans. Proof requires fact, not deduction based on assumptions.
coyeti 4 years ago
Show me proof that the anti-tax questioner is an "angry democrat" Show me proof that the gun guy is a "nutjob." Or are you just making assumptions?
I agree that people are people. And I have no problem with either of those 2 asking questions in the debate. It is YOU who want to screen questions from Americans, not I.
heckofanutjob 4 years ago
And still, I don't mind that they asked these questions - since they are Americans, and Americans should be able to ask all politicians questions.
Why can't a retired gay officer ask about the military's policy toward homosexuals? Seems pretty pertinent to me.
heckofanutjob 4 years ago
The primary process is for PARTY MEMBERS to select THEIR OWN candidate. It is not a BIPARTISAN process. The homosexual man loving general is a democrat; he will not be voting in the republican primary. Instead of becoming a 'stealth' questioner in a forum he does not belong in, he should be interviewing his OWN candidates in his OWN party. Then, after the primaries, it is gloves off and have at it.
coyeti 4 years ago
If one of the candidates had answered as he wanted, maybe he WOULD have voted in the republican primary.
heckofanutjob 4 years ago
Kerr is anything but an independent. He was a member of the national steering committee for Veterans for Kerry, serves on Hilary's board, etc. We are not stupid, nutjob. Your attempt to excuse his covert intrusion into republican party debates is lame. He is a political figure with a pro-liberal leftist voice.
coyeti 4 years ago
He is a registered independent. Look it up in the various coverage of him over this. I know several registered Republicans who are now disillusioned and are considering voting for a Democrat. Are you saying that they have to register as a Democrat before they are ALLOWED to ask any questions in the nationally televised debates?
No acknowledgement that Independents and party-members can still change their registrations from one party to another, or vote AS Independents in many of the primaries?
heckofanutjob 4 years ago
He may be a reg indpndent but he is a dmocratic operative in prctice. He is also not a republican, registered or in practice. Nutjob, I have never said people don't have a right to ask questions. Heck, I acknwledged the significance of the issue (homosexuals in the military). My point was and continues to be that the republican process is for repubs, just as the dem process is for dems. Kerr's history tells us he is not a repub nor is he bcoming one. He did not blong in the party event. Period.
coyeti 4 years ago
coyeti: No acknowledgement that Independents and party-members can still change their registrations from one party to another, or vote AS Independents in many of the primaries, based in large part on how candidates answer these questions during nationally televised debates. Only VOTING in the Republican party is restricted to Repubs (and not in all cases, like NH). Up until that deadline, anyone can register as a Repub, so debates are for everyone.

Give me a break! Quit giving the girly general excuses for what he did. The leftist media gives him plenty already. That really surprises me, because a REAL military man would never demean his own country, dury a time of war. A REAL military man would not kiss the ass of every commie bastard out there. But Democraps do not have to have morals, just Republican, so they get a pass. I guess, it is a same as when you are mentally retarded, and they excuse your actions!
emmathird 4 years ago
"A REAL military man would not kiss the ass of every commie bastard out there".
Since when does asking legitimate question that points to real problem in America counts as "kiss the ass of every commie bastard out there".
BTW communism is dead even in China and it's only an empty shell in North Korea.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Where do you get the idea that communism is dead? Ask the Chinese who live under the thumb of communism. Ask the N Koreans who are dying of starvation. Ask the Cubans who live in abject poverty. Ask the Russians who are seeing a return of communist controls under Putin and his corrupt election from last week.
coyeti 4 years ago
"Where do you get the idea that communism is dead?".
So Reagan didn't defeat evil communist Soviet after all? / sarc.
BTW where's your apology for your misinformation that Kerry hasn't release his military records while i have proven otherwise (Even though it's not all the records) if you are sooo honorable hmm?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Two responses lalaland:
first, Reagan defeated the soviet union by outspending them militarily and forcing the break up of the union. Communism was confronted and dismantled in many nations but is not yet crushed. Second, Kerry has not released ALL of his records. Again, the article YOU CITED states this. The records he has not released (post-active duty) include time frames from his protest activities.
coyeti 4 years ago
AND AGAIN LALALAND: FROM A PRIOR POST: "A quote from the website you source: "UPDATE: The only apparent anomaly in the Form 180s is that they only authorize the release of Kerry's active duty records, not his reserve records. This could well be important, in that Kerry's antiwar activities occurred when he was a member of the reserves."
coyeti 4 years ago
"Second, Kerry has not released ALL of his records".
But he HAS released some of his records which contradicts this comment from you:
"lalaland, Kerry HAS NOT released his military records".
So where's your apology o honorable one?
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
When will you admit you are wrong lalaland? I have stated all along that Kerry has not released all of his records. He admits that. The swift boaters state that. Only you are unable to admit that he hasn't been entirely forthcoming. Downright bizarre.....
coyeti 4 years ago
I thought the original challenge was for someone, anyone, to definitively disprove any of the SBVT's accusations against Kerry. The Swiftboat guy backtracked on the challenge though when Kerry took him up on the offer.
Of course, I may be missing later developments - as I haven't been following it.
heckofanutjob 4 years ago
No, you got it right. Kerry offered to take him up on the offer last month. The 'swiftboat guy' then laid out the criteria (full disclosure since it is his million dollars) to insure that whatever refutation is forwarded cannot be disproven. To the best of my knowledge, Kerry hasn't yet released the rest of his military records or submitted his proof. WIll be interesting to watch develop.
coyeti 4 years ago
"I have stated all along that Kerry has not released all of his records".
Oh no please don't try to revise history.
This is what you said:
"lalaland, Kerry HAS NOT released his military records".
You said "his military records" not "all of his records".
If you don't apologize then it means you are just as "honorable" as Karl Rove.
laleeloolelo 4 years ago
Lalaland, I apologize for not being articulate enough with this earlier post you have cited. My comments presumed a common understanding that release of said records meant "all records."
I grovel at your feet for your forgiveness for presuming a common understanding. Herewith and forever, for all intents and purposes, I declare that Kerry has released SOME of his records, and Kerry has intentionally withheld SOME of his records.
