@hearttopmodel05 Back in Early American History many Blacks were hanged with the noose, which is a KNOT and not a rope. Many Blacks were hanged with it, and the reason why it's illegal to tie in the State I live in is more because it's described as racist then, "dangerous." A noose on a tree basically means, "Kill the blacks." The double half-hitch knot produces the same effect (Tightens as pressure is applied.) I'm not sure if you can hang yourself with it, but I know that it's not illegal.
