I don't know why you thought MM2 was better than MM3 in any way. 3 was harder, had better music, (or just as good), and it just felt like a more complete game to me. idk. Take another listen to some of the MM3 music again. (Magnet Man, Shadow Man, and Whistle Concert are all great.)

MM3 also appeared in the Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the Gamecube, Playstation 2, and the original Xbox. MMAC has MM1-8 plus two other games in it.

Yeah, I agree with you on the proto man stuff.  I believe the animators for the old 90's Mega Man thought like we did too as they made him into a villain in the cartoon.

I would have to say this game gets a 9/10. This game rocks.

Three things.

First, you can use the snakes against Quick Man. It does the same damage. If you have trouble with that, use the shadow blades (it does only 2 damage but it's very easy to hit with that).

Second, about the Magnet Man stage issue, you can make a long jump from the first block to the third, bypassing the block with the magnet.

Third, I would personally add "Dr.Wily's levels are way too easy in MM3 compared to other games of the series" in the bad aspects.

Great review otherwise.

The American adaptation of Megaman is completely different from the Japanese Rockman! In Rockman, Rush looks like a normal dog, 'protonman' (protonman?) is called Blues and he's not Rockman's brother! And where's Netto-kun?! In these games, are the ~man characters in their own universe, rathere that programmed and controlled by a net-battler? I'm so confused! Then again, I've only seen the Japanese TV program, so it might be really different...

I don't know where you got that info but Rockman exe (a.k.a Megaman Nt warrior) came out in Japan in 2003 and all the classics came out AGES before it did. The only ones that didn't beat Rockman.exe in the making was 9 and 10 for the gaming networks (eg. wiiware)

sorry to bother but i noticed that every game you review is on the virtual console and this is a big disappointment to people who want to see Perfect Dark , GoldenEye ,

Banjo Kazooie , Banjo Tooie and Donkey Kong 64 . I recommend an emulator so that those rare ware fanboys can get what they want

I don't see anything wrong with the bad aspects, especially since Kwing gave the game enough praise before.

Also, the thing with the blocks in Magnet Man's stage reminds me of the Heat Man stage: it's horribly hard without the jet, but cake with it. It's what I consider the "true" difficulty select.

The Bad aspects you had were terrible. The first one is just because people liked to do the challenging levels first, and the second one was just because you don't have "Mad Skillz". I would give the game a 9.8 out of 10.

There is nothing wrong with the original Mega Man.

Also, your not very good at the game. I hardly ever use the robot master weapons. I only ever use them against the other robot masters.

That takes skill.

Also, the whole dr.wily is evil again doesn't come up until you finish off the last of the last of Mega Man 2 robot masters.

hey kwing have you ever tried megaman anniversary collection on gamecube? I find it strange that your jump and shoot buttons are swapped but megaman x collection doesn't have that problem. Whatever cuz at least i got megaman 1-9 and Bass. I have to get 10 soon along with Sonic 4 and castlevania adventure rebirth cuz i have the original on gameboy.

I tried finding similar models of what i have but i cant seem to find mine on the web just other brands. They're really not that hard to find as any online place like ebay and amazon has a bunch of em. How i got mines in the first place is still a mystery
