  • @kuruvaziyer read this comment of your. If you want to broaden your horizon... learn the golden mean... there you will find we beat the same frequency. you will find the whole region of this area was destabalised for greed. Ie the establishment which attaturk was apart of - he had the ancient knowledge at hand. Its a shame because the whole area was united for a long time through the ages through different empires. Now we are scattered across the earth wondering why? retreat into yourself truth

  • Alright...I've devised a plan...I will gather every Pontic/Anatolian Greek I know, every Assyrian, every Laz Georgian, every Jew with Ottoman heritage and every Armenian from Australia and were coming to Trabzon, Van and Samsun to live and reclaim our past. Lets see how many people will accept us with kisses and hugs, lets see how long we last there...

  • @FridayNightFilms1

there is no need, my friend, to leave our homes and go live there...I suppose we all have a home somewhere, friends, lifes...it's too late to return and live in Anatolia...

but!!!! we can visit our FATHERLAND, see, smell, taste, touch, speak, LOVE!

  • @Taniola

    Hey where are you from?

I'm from Macka but I live in the USA now. When I see you Pontian people in my city, I feel really happy. Our accents are even like yours. Pontian people look like us. Also, my grandmother sometimes uses Greek words. Our cultures are really similar. I wish your fathers didn't leave Trabzon. Visit Trabzon always and say to other Greek people that we are friends.

  • @emrahb61

I appriciate you, my friend, you're really a peacfull and open minded person!!

Trabzon has nothing to lose from our visits...we come with sooo emotion and love for the place and the people!!! we respect you all, and we thank you for your hospitality especially your goverment who gave the permission to celebrate our feast in Panagia Sumela this summer. All the Pontians, we were soooo excited!!!

I'm sure, next summer more and more visitors will travel in Trabzon!!

  • @Taniola

    thanks for the compliments.

Things gain value when we share them. So, this celebrating is your right.

I hope that we will see you every year more and more in Sümela.

However, I don't like my government for different reasons :)

My grandmother wanted to go to Sümela when you were celebrating, but authorities didn't allow her. She always wonders you. Also I saw on your video, Hamsiköy is your father's village. It is also my grandmother's village.

I want to learn something from you.

  • @Taniola everything changed with Christ, and will change again soon. my friend, God saw how lambs were expelled from their homeland and return is His decision. the path is rough and weight is heavy now, but reward is where Our Heavenly Father is. this land is where All Saints walked and prayed, that is why is so beautiful.that is why it smells Holy Fragrance everywhere in Anatolia. and also that's why devil hates much of this beauty.Kri Isu Xriste Eleison Me, Lord Jesus Christ Have Mercy On Me.

  • @77godfather real turks are Oghuz , ozbeks and uyhgurs ,today non of you look like em, ask urself why ?? . People who live in turkey today are mostly mixed with arabs and kurds , black sea mostly greek !

  • @theseis Well, Turks branched out all over the place, and of course they mixed, various people adopted a Turkish identity. The same happened in Greece with Slavs, it's still happening with Arvanites who don't speak Arvanitika any more for example. But neither Greekness nor Turkishness can be defined in terms of "race" or "DNA." For both, it's a cultural continuity that has stretched back over centuries, blending in some areas, remaining distinct in others.

  • @theseis By the way, Uyghurs and Uzbeks are also influenced by surrounding peoples, especially the Persians, many Uyghurs don't look Asiatic at all. It really doesn't matter. We are who we are and we're all a mix. If you did a DNA test tomorrow and found you had 90% Slavic DNA (if that even exists), you would be just as Greek, wouldn't you? We look at Greeks who in 1922 rejected Anatolian Greeks as "tourkosporo" as ignorant. So why should we continue it?

  • @theseis go learn history, the oghuz turks are the main turkic tribe, modern ozbeks are mixture of orignal karluk turks and mongolians who invaded and got assimilated into adopting turkic language.lol u r one dumb fuck.

  • @AntiKyrgyz dont care about ur shitty history . I was talking about people in modern Turkey today non of em look like turks in the past.

  • @theseis we are oghuz turks, u deranged mutherfucker, oh u greeks don't know shit about our history or our turkic tribes, go fuck a goat.

  • @AntiKyrgyz lol fake cunt .. u r oghuz turks eh ? non of you look like each other why is that ? brain washed little 3rd world country inbreed cock sucker ..

  • @theseis lol, u greeks r the shame of europe, lol and u don't know shit , you greeks are closer to ethiopians than u r to ancient hellenic tribes, who were blonde and light eyed.lol

  • @AntiKyrgyz lmao tales from a little poor turk , u got nothing good to say and now talking shit about Greeks. Turks destined to loose, Kurds about to take over hahaha we pitty you .bye bye looser mixed race cunt lololo

  • @theseis lol, u idiots are a mixture of people w from ethiopia, you are also the shame of europe, why do u think those riots happened last year lol.

  • @theseis it is not important.any nation is pure . but we have 70.000.000 people in Turkiye who are feeling as Turk :)

  • @kuruvaziyer They were taught to feel Turk and hate like a Turk. What would happen if they all found out that it's all a huge lie? I don't think most of them would be happy.

  • @Paflos my god what would happen ? I have a friend who knows his grandfather is greek.and he is from trabzon. But he says always that he is Türk.and be sure he is Turk more then me...everyone know their past , nobody is child

  • @kuruvaziyer The time is coming my friend. You'll be in for a huge surprise.

Janissaries, people don't tend to forget nor forgive. If they get a chance to know their real roots and what the dogs did to their own people, they won't be happy.

  • @Paflos dream :))) u should wake up...by the way greeks are always sleaping so u had economical chrises :) stand up pls :)))

  • @kuruvaziyer Economic crises has more to do with the NWO and the Jews, than the Greeks. You should know, you were in the IMF too.

But worry not, Greeks always found a way to continue their existence through thousands of years, we fear no crises. After all, that's why your masters, "Turks" muslimized Greeks and slaughtered the ones not willing to give up their beliefs, because they were afraid of them.

  • @Paflos yea european uniun helped for ur crise.u try to work hard not sleep so much :) Merkel was right with her explanation.Germens always work greeks aleyas sleep, why they have to help to greece.Turkiye is enough country for itself.we have everything, thousands of vagetables, animals, agliculture, young population, textile, industry.we dont need anything.and anymre Turkiye dont take money from imf...we are growing day by day.of course u and all eu and usa affraid of this.so u help pkk terrorists..

  • @theseis Too much propaganda. The only sad thing is that a huge amount of modern "Turks" are waging war of words and actions, towards their real brothers. That's why Greeks can't forget. They managed to steal our children and make them fight against us.

  • @theseis

Real Turk or not we are all Muslim and brothers. And don't forget the people who live in Turkey 600 years ruled the world...WE LOVE PEOPLE EVEN THET HATE US.

  • @theseis

Real Turk or not we are all Muslim and brothers. And don't forget the people who live in Turkey 600 years ruled the world...WE LOVE PEOPLE EVEN THEY HATE US.

  • And while turks been mixed with other ethnics, you stay puur? greek?armenian, kurdish? pfff Everybody talks about Turkey and Turks but, most of you know almost nothing about Turkey.. Arabs are different than Turks, they are more likely closer to the Kurds !!! if you don't believe i proove you that :) You can maybe say, turks and greeks are mixed up, that might be, but Turks never mixed with Arabs !!!

  • HI EVERYONE PEACE TO YOU ALL! FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE TO SAY SOMETHING TO MY GREEK FRIENDS THAT SOMETING REALLY YOU GUYS DONT KNOW THAT TRABZON CITY PEOPLE ALL ARE 100 % OF OGHUZ TURKS (JEBNI TURKS) (TURKMEN) THERES NONE GREEK OR PONTIAK OR PEOPLE CALLLED LAZ ZERO % LIVES IN TRABZON YOU CAN COME AND SEARCH YOUR SELFS WE ALL TRABZON PEOPLE CONVERT TO ISLAM BEFORE WE CONCORED THE TRABZON CITY OKAY! YOU GUYS KEEP SAYING THERES PONTIAK BROTHERS I CAN GUARANTEE YOU ZERO % REMAINING NO THIS RESPECT

  • @77godfather What are you talking about. There are tens of thousands of pontic (rum) people in the villages to the south of Trabzon. Yes all are muslim, but many still speak rumca.

  • @77godfather

I want to say that in Trabzon there are many many people who speak rumca, in greek "pontiaka".They are very friendly with us and we communicate with them easily!!...and that's all!

they live in Turkey in peace and we're doing the same in Greece!!!

  • @Taniola Rumca/Pontiaka is to Greeks what Hemsin/Hamshen is to Armenians.

  • @Arzive

I've just found a video for Hamshen Armenians and I 've just learned about those people...similar life course!

I also did'nt know that Kazim Koyuncu was a Hamshen Armenian!

    thank you!

  • @Taniola Yes. They speak a very old dialect of Western Armenian mixed with a lot of loan words from Lazika and Turkish. Unfortunately, those in Turkey have recently become muslim and many deny their Armenian identity, but those who escaped Turkey in critical times remember their Armenian identity and religion.

I think Kazim Koyuncu was actually a Laz or Turk but he was raised with Hemshinlis and was very close to them. I'm not sure about him being Hemshinli. But he did speak Hemshinli.

  • @77godfather your probably right...i think that's sad...my family originated from there and had to leave, they had to start again in Greece. I think the pontian culture still lives through the Turkish people from that region, or I'd like to think so. I do not believe any Turk is 100% Oghuz because they have mixed with so many different people especially from regions that had many ethnic Greeks well before the Seljuks or Ottoman Empire. So many have converted to Islam in the region.

  • @77godfather ΟΚ. BUT HOW COULD EXIST GREEK PEOPLE THERE???

    YOU KILLED THEM..

    Peace.........

  • @77godfather ΟΚ. BUT HOW COULD EXIST GREEK PEOPLE THERE???

  • How the greeks settled from Greece to Eastern Black Sea thousands years ago ??

  • ευχαριστώ για τη συμμετοχή Laz Laz είναι ότι δεν είναι Τούρκοι, ώστε ποντιακή Λαζοί δεν είναι θαύμα!

  • No region of Turkey will join to Greece. Megali Idea is to remain forever only as a dream. Turkey belongs to everyone, who are living within their borders.

  • @spookeagle you could say the same about the native Pontians and Christians couldn't you? Don't you think they deserve a place in Turkey to bask in their roots with no bullshit pressure?

  • wow! I just got the goose bumps...I'm from Turkey with a Circassian (kafkas mountain people) heritage.I live in U.S and heard some many stories about families being distanced for different reasons. That video clip made me say, "wow" ...that is deep...god bless!

  • There is a documentary comming out by a native, from my village zeleka (tasoren) in caykara, trabzon. As far as I can tell most people there call themselves "rumca" or "hellenic", but will refrain from using yunan (greek) to describe their identity. The documentary is about the lonlyness of the woman who remained there, after allmost all the men left between the 60's and the 80's.

  • let me clue you in on something. The Greeks of Greece also called themselves "rum" until the late 18th century when there was a national awakening and they started to call themselves by their old name "Ellines". Just because you don't want to call my people "yunan" does not mean we are any less Greek. btw, if you notice my last name, my family comes from the town of Bafra on the black sea, but we do not have a "B" in our language.

  • I said the people themselves dont want to be called Yunan. I didnt say we are not Greek, as I myself am Pontic Greek as well. We have Turkish names too, but I do not feel any need for Greek nationalism, or nationalism of any kind. My (Islamic-Greek) great-grandfather died in WW1 in the fight against the Russians, while Greek-Christians from nearby villages fought with the Russians against the Turks. That is why the villagers dont want to be called "Yunan", as for many it is the name of betrail.

  • Well, as I am sure you already know, Greeks do not consider Greek converts to islam as being Greek. Pretty much, a Greek can only be Orthodox. This is how our culture views it. This is why we deported Greek speaking muslims from Crete in 1923. lastly, Muslims do not deserve the name Rum because they are not part of the Rum-Millet. Only Christians may be part of that Millet. I do not care for nationalism either and I have nothing against Turks. I am just stating the facts.

  • @nickpafras so you kind of admit that you and your mind is at least as cruel as those people who force others to convert to another religion?

what a nonsense, youre proud of people being deported? deported from a place they called home? imagine how it must feel, imagine someone comes to you and forces you to leave home and its impossible for you to come back.

If this is what you think is God s will there u go ! But this is all paradox and only an abuse of religion in the name of fanatism

  • Greek speaking muslim = Turk

This may not seem logical to you, but this is how we view things. Even if a Greek would convert to Islam in Greece today, everybody will call him Turk.

  • @nickpafras Yes, and I think hatred between Muslims and Christians is why the Greeks in Turkey dont want to be called Greeks, as they dont feel greek. We are Pontic-Greek though, if you like it or not. How do you want to create peace and respect if you can not even accept a Greek who is Muslim. This is truely very sad. I know the pain lies deep as the Christian Greeks view Muslim Greeks as betrayers and the other way around. But this is 100 years ago, we must move on now.

  • I mean, if you go to the villages you will know we are Greek. We dance the same dance, we speak the same language, we wear the same clothes, we eat the same food, we build the same houses, we live the same lives, we call our villages by the Greek name, etc. The only thing to break us apart was the war. I know for sure you will be welcomed if you come to Karadeniz, for there are tens of thousands of people just like you, that can understand you and will dance with you.

  • I am sure you are all very nice people and I have nothing against you. But you are not Greek. Being Greek is more than just a language or dances, it is a way of thinking. No self-respecting Greek would ever willingly call himself Turk or wave the turkish flag with pride. Trust me, I have nothing against you, I am just telling you Greeks think.

  • I will be honest with you. If you were Greek you would realize who your ancestors were and how they were a part of a ancestral line of people and that the only reason that you and your people are now muslims and speak turkish is because invaders from asia made you this way. that is the sad truth. And if they did not make you that way and you made yourself that way willingly, that is even worse.

  • btw, real "Rum" still fly the Roman eagle flag of Pontus. It is the Christian Greeks of pontus who are loyal to their ancestry and history.

  • Yes, yes, but as I mentioned I dont care about nationalism or religion. I am not muslim but atheist. I feel Greek, Turk, European, Asian and Human all at once. I dont care what others think about me. I hope you will respect me for this.

  • of course I respect your opinion. But it seems to me that you are stuck in between worlds and identities which seems like a consequence of trying to make proud Greek christians of Pontos who have been there for thousands of years into proud turks.

  • Hey guys, I think its time to make clear some things.. Everyone on this planet is free to feel as he\she likes.. have any religion he/she wants and call himself\herself as he/she likes! If ou feel Greek and Muslim its fine! If you feel Greek and Christian is fine too! If you feel Turkish and Christian is great! if you feel Turkish and Muslim is great too! There is nobody who says what is right and what is not what is true and what is false. Be whatever you feel you are.

  • thats a nice sentiment but I disagree with you.

  • @Taniola I want to meet a Turk to worship Zeus..hahaha...FUCK THE MONGOLS.

  • @nickpafras In Ottoman times, in a Muslim empire (more than a Turkish one per se), where people were defined by religion, it made sense. Today, in the age of nation states and nationality is defined in different ways, it doesn't really. How can we ever move forward if our heads are stuck in 1922? Even my grandfather was young then; our great grandparents did terrible things to each other, some of them died. We're alive, we have a new chance to do things better. Every good person is a new chance.
