@3515110 I dont know if sakura and itachi get together or not but when i asked this same question someone told me that it isnt him who catches her. if you look close the person who catches sakura doesnt have purple nails(Itachi has purple nails) I hope this helps if your still wondering (sorry i know you commented 2 months ago but just incase) :)

the guy is sasuke. sasuke uchiha is a kid with no parents cuz his brother killed his parents. sasuke, sakura, and naruto train together at first with kakashi. but then tthey get older and sasuke joins hiroshi maru ( a VERY bad person) he then starts to learn from his new mentor. then in shippuden (when they are older) he tries to kill naruto because he wants to learn something from his brother itachi, but to do that he had to kill his closest friend which is naruto. your welcome
